First rule is to avoid any personal relationships with your neighbors when new to an area. Don't go beyond greeting. You marry sef, they will womb-watch your spouse and start asking useless questions or making funny insinuations. It's so irritating.
He should have given him a very stern warning or report him to the authorities for constant harassment or relocate entirely.

Relocate? Because a neighbor was taunting him? No na! Did you even know who moved in first? Why would he move when nobody was paying his rent for him?

He should have just ignored the pest of a neighbor and let him keep fooling himself until he becomes like a broken record. But I guess there were other underlying issues that came to an head with the situation leading up to murder, like quarrels over chicken space and all of that.

Mind your business

The killers anger was not just that the victim (his neighbour) always asked him when he was going to get married, He stated clearly that the neighbour always asked in a way to ridicule him, make jest of him. That is where the real pain and anger to kill him stemmed from.
And a lot of times, people that ask this questions add ridicule in their tune, not knowing that it really upsets and pains the unmarried person, especially when you don't know the challenges and difficulties he is going through that has led to him being unmarried at that age.

Omo...how are you handling this situation. I ask cos I'm kinda in the same shoes, and I almost got physical with one of my friend's last month. If not for some of our mutual friends, I already planned to cut the guy off permanently. The guy wahala too much on top this marriage matter.
