" Abacha's five year rule was a period of extreme Authoritarian rule and brutal repression " - Amachree , a former DSS assistant director who served during the Abacha regime. But some pious Democrats and Super upright men who served and profited under the renowned virgin hunter boldly claimed Abacha was more democratic than not a few NADECO members that risked it all to resist a deranged bloodsucker just to restore democracy back for the same Abacha Apologist that denigrated them to be serving party jollof rice and turning Airport mai kaya for a just the tip promise of four years if they are allowed to become what their oga and mentor never wanted anyone else to be while he was alive . Spit on all food is ready opportunists . Worse than maggots . |

There is a SW Journalist now based in US who claimed the woman who was Abacha's favourite girlfriend was flown in from London by his enemies and deliberately laced with Magun for the mission and that both IBB and Alao Arisekola had a hand in it That was the Story the Journalist told.. Personally i think the woman could have been somehow used to physically poison Abacha with or without her knowledge or she could have been used as a decoy by others to poison Abacha |

Lukuluku69:Abacha was buried according to his religious rites which meant a quick burial The Doctor at the villa was present as well Even if the CSO wanted to keep it quiet it wouldn't have worked because it would have eventually been revealed to high ranking members of the regime The main reason I referenced the Dss thing was that the CSO was in charge of the security there Even Gwarzo who was the head of that organization at the time would have been aware of such an "interrogation" |

His account: “At approximately 2.40 am, shortly after Gen. Useni left, Abacha’s girlfriend, an Igbo lady (name withheld), arrived at the Aso Rock Guest House from the Nicon Nogs Hilton Hotel. With her was her younger sister, a pharmacist who was in Abuja for a conference. So the language he mentioned killed Abacha? 🤔 |

Congrats to us for maintaining our civilian democracy since that time. But the next step is to have free and fair elections. Let’s go there. |

RichBoy247:Sensitive or embarrassing. What is your concern, are you personally related to him or what. Most folks in Abuja back then knew about his serial escapades as Batman, the night crusader together with Jerry Boy, his side kick. |

Svoboda:I stop reading it where it says, the girl quickly dressed up and escaped. How possible to escape from water tight security details around military president like Abacha, and to make it unwise and unthinkable, she escaped at ungodly hours and not during the day. |

The Head of State had just bought his girlfriend a new SUV, and they decided to stop by to say hello to “ Oga.” “Abacha was taken with the younger sister, and after a short while, the girlfriend returned to the hotel, leaving the pharmacist alone with the Head of State. At about 4.05 am, as they were getting intimatetwo sisters ! |

I don’t see any difference between this version and his own . Fear Yankees! They have all your secrets. But one thing is clear here, this is not a first hand direct witness account. Only a direct witness can say what actually happened.

We were all happy when the news of Abacha's death emerged. We were happy because the end of a tyrant ruler was over. We were happy because we thought Nigeria was free from the shackles of poverty and insecurities. We were happy because we thought the military rule had put us into hardship and poverty. But looking back today, I am regretting why Abacha died. I am regretting why democracy came onboard. It's so heart broken that the military rule was a thousand times better than this so called democratic rule of APC in particular. I just wished we could return back to the military rule.... During the military rule, a bag of cement was less than #500, petrol was about #70, transport from PH to Lagos was less than #2000, a dollar was about #100, there were plenty of foods, things were so okay. There were no Boko Haram, no sit at home, no killer herdsmen, no kidnappers, electricity use to be much available, etc. The military rule era in Nigeria is what I can call 'THE GOOD OLD DAYS' |

Svoboda:It's the most daft I ever heard Imagine a whole leader of a country dies on top of you as a woman and you're so calm enough to leave his dead body there and even fabricated a lie to escape And you were dumb enough to go to Lagos nor some remote place or even outside the country And the DSS will apprehend you only to release you almost immediately because you denied culpability Even an idiot shouldn't believe this The man just wants his book to trend |

This is just crap. This one wants to sell a book too. Abacha was a chronic drunk and had been warned to stop several times by doctors. It was his liver that failed eventually. That was the autopsy report. |

Fiscus105:Thank you! And they even waited for her to land in Lagos before seeking for her. That he even interrogated her in ogudu, presumably in the comfort of her home ... To be honest, the way she would've been snatched off the street and spirited to Abuja in a blindfold, and as at that time when Abacha had become so paranoid, like someone said earlier, every single member of her family, including that his girlfriend, even fellow travellers on that plane plus that airport taxi driver, all those who attended to them at the hotel, even the military driver who dropped her from the villa to Hilton, all of them would be detained, tortured and questioned. The whole of Abuja would have been turned upside down that day. |

Svoboda:But remember that immediately Abacha died, his security structure collapsed. It’s not as if Abdulsalam was sympathetic or loyal to him. The only loyal guy, Musthafa was detained. In fact he had no loyalist left to do such things for him. A situation of a living dog being better than a dead lion. |

Skydivine:It's not really about collapse of security structure, it's about procedure and comraderie. You wouldn't treat a prime suspect in the murder of a hos like a queen, even if you despise that his, if not you stand the risk of eliciting discontent or even mutiny among the rank and file. |

THIS IS THE DETAIL CORRECT EVENT SURROUNDING ABACHA'S DEATH. . It's a well known fact that Abacha wanted to be a lifetime civilian president. Aspiring for that means he will ruffle some top military Generals feathers who has hope of getting his seat. The truth here is: the military has already map out a rotational ruling formula (turn by turn). After Abacha, it was the turn of General Ishaya Bamaiyi or Abdusalami Abubakar. . But power drunk Abacha never wanted to relinquish power, and needs to do away with some of these top military Generals before they truncate his ambition. Abacha listed some of the names of these Generals for voluntary retirement to his secretary, a female soldier who coincidentally was the girlfriend to General Ishaya Bamaiyi and whose name was among the list. The secretary surprise to see her boy/man friend on the list didn't hesitate to show and tell it to Bamaiyi. Bamaiyi was gobsmack and went on to tell Abdusalami Abubakar who was Abacha's right hand man. He Abubakar too was surprised to see his name on the list. . And from there started the plot to eliminate Abacha before he retires or eliminate them. According to inside sources, Abacha was permanently on drugs. Meaning he can't function a day without the use of drugs. Abdusalami Abubakar was the go to guy for the supply of drugs while General Jerry Useni was the supplier of ladies for Abacha's amusements. All these are what they used against him. Then they set the plan in motion. . Abdusalami Abubakar, schedule a party for only Generals at the private residence/guest house of Abacha within the Aso Villa. Before attending the party, Abacha had some visitors he needed attending to. And the last visitor on that day was Palestine leader Yaser Arafat whose visit and meeting didn't last more than 30min before he was flown back to Palestine. I guess it was during the meeting at the airport that a handshake took place with one of Arafat officials that the rumor of a poison handshake took place. But it wasn't the handshake that killed him or lets say weakened him a bit. According to Al Hamza Mustapha, immediately after that handshake, his boss wasn't himself. . But Abacha still later attended the party. While at the party. Major Al Hamza Mustapha was told to go home, that the party is strictly for Generals. According to my inside source, when Abacha wanted to insist on him staying. They assured him everything will be fine that he doesn't need his CSO to be around. Major Mustapha left for home, which he stated in his account that he left for home to go and rest only to hear the devastating news by 5am in the morning when he was called. . Meanwhile, Abacha during the party started getting weak. Either thru the rumored poisonous handshake or is in need of his opium (drugs) to stabilize himself. Don't forget I mentioned earlier that he's on everyday permanent drugs to get things going So he reached out for Abdusalami Abubakar to get his drugs. AA promised him it's on the way, but he and his cohorts masterminder deliberately delayed bringing of the drugs or never wanted to bring it all. Cus that's the only thing that will bring him back to life and he'll know what he's doing and the going ons around him. . While Abacha keep asking of his drugs and they keep assuring him it's on the way. Some girls were assigned to him to keep him happy. Not long after, he entered to a crisis. (Crisis, where drugs takers starts to misbehave when they didn't see or take their drugs). Not wanting him to embarrass himself at the party. He was ushered into one of the quest room with.... (Here's where my source doesn't know whether it's one, two or three girls) that went with him to za oza room. But at least a lady was assigned to him to seduce and have s*x with him in the state he was in which they all knew was deadly. Somebody whose hearbeat is already pumped up and in need of drugs to stabilize himself, you now add s*x to it where is heart will be beating faster than usual. You and I don't need a soothsayer to know that's a death warrant. . And the rest as we use to say is history. General Sanni Abacha died at exactly 4:05am the lady or girls that was with him were quickly evacuated from the scene and it was made to look like cardiac arrest. That's why I laugh when most of you are commenting how did the said lady left a whole Aso Villa without being detected or frown at. The Generals knew about it and let her have a free pass. Abacha's CSO AlHamza Mustapha was informed by 5:00am of what happened. He came into the room and paid his last respect to his boss with a strong salute and never questioned the Generals on what happened. . Between Abacha's death of 4am till 6pm when it was announced to Nigerians and the whole world came a long hours meeting of who will be the next Commander in Chief. According to my source, the next person in line according to the agreements had many years ago was Ishaya Bamaiyi. But 80% of the Generals voted against him, citing his brash and also dictatorial attitude. They voted for Abdusalami Abubakar who they think is a calm and respected influence among the Generals. Even Jerry Useni, who rumors has it that Abacha favors him to succeed him do stake his claim but was rejected outrightly. . So after hours of deliberation, Abdusalami Abubakar was unanimously voted and agreed to be the new Commander in Chief. And he in turn announced Abacha's death by 6pm as the new C in C. This is the true account of what happened to Abacha. |

Kalulu44:Stop typing nonsense What's the name of drug Abacha was addicted to How can Abdusalmi be supplier of drug to the head of state I'm other to cover the indictment of the two ladies you decided to spin your own narration. Ishaya Bamayi was not next in line based on military hierarchy |
