Tension gripped parts of Jos South Local Government Area on Monday after two women were allegedly shot dead by military personnel in Naya gotta community, Gyel District. The incident sparked protests as residents demanded justice for the victims. One other person was also reportedly injured.

According to residents, the women were shot in the early hours of Monday after approaching military personnel who drove in in a convoy to ask the reason for their visit and to inspect what was inside their vehicle.

A former councillor of the area and a contestant in the upcoming elections under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Mrs. Chundung Bitrus Pwajok Kele, said one of the soldiers involved in the incident wore dreadlocks, an appearance she said was unusual for security personnel in Nigeria, which prompted the women to be conscious and ask to inspect their vehicle before the situation escalated, which led to the shooting of 2 women, including a nursing mother.

I've Never seen a well trained Nigeria security personnel wearing dreadlocks,

Infact, never in my life have I seen a soldier with dreads. If there was one, that one would have long since been sent to guardroom and the hair would have been scraped off, with blunt razor.

If we check well I won't be surprised if the military men involved were some of the pardoned boko haram terrorists integrated into the Nigerian army

I have a hand in worrying for my people with how lawless Naija is becoming. Roads I once traveled almost everyday is now a kidnappers Haven. Bandits openly share their Arsenal of weapons they definitely stole from government forces.
