motymop:9ja should develop itself. Like a typical 9ja girlfriend, if you become broke, she does not care about all the good things you did for her last week. If we were like Malaysia or Dubai and 1m Xenophobians visit 9ja yearly, and 500k of them reside and work in 9ja, they would respect us. The world is a market place. People only care about what they can get off you here and now. Your past acts of kindness don't count. |

Kobojunkie:No mind dem, did SA force Nigeria to sacrifice it's scholarship fund? what rational thinking country does that? Most reasonable countries would even deny doing such a thing as that is an indictment on how utterly clueless the leadership of that nation is. You sacrifice the future of your own people to liberate another country. And then there's the other side of the story, seeing as that woman fed 600 million Nigerian school children during COVID-19 (Mind you all schools were shutdown during that time) , who's to say this scholarship fund didn't end up liberating the pockets and bank accounts of Nigerian leaders? |

Me too. I did garri, garri, garri because dad was funding the struggle....c'mon veep, what is all this pity partying about. A country that fought two foreign wars almost simultaneously in the late 80's and 90's should have parked an aircraft carrier off the coast of the Cape to send shivers down their spines. Oh, Nigeria. What a man turned girl scout. |

It's unbelievable that the same south Africa Nigeria and many other African countries sacrifices a lot for during apartheid, turn out to be ungrateful people, bitting the fingers that fed them when they are in need. |

The younger generation are not interested in this. They just don't want immigrants especially the illegal ones and the criminals. Let's move on. God will reward us for all we've done. As we gave freely and shared love with them, God will bless and honour us in His own way. |

I haven't been following this closely because SAs are trash, but have SAs chased out any white or Asian immigrants? Show me one example. |
| Re: Xenophobia: Nigeria Sacrificed Scholarship Funds To Support Sa's Liberation: VP by Cousin9999: 6:59pm On Jul 21 |
BTW South Africa cannot legitimately complain about immigration. It's not like the US where Mexicans and Indians are everywhere like roaches and there's clear evidence that they're damaging the economy and putting a strain on resources. South Africa's biggest problem is the whites and Asians there that are robbing the country. But "black" SA are cowards who won't fight their real enemy on their own land. |

seppuku:South Africans have made it clear they dont want your people.. accept this and move on, at what point would you stop wailing about it? Move on.. |

nairalanda1:Migrating to other parts of the world doesn't mean your country isn't developed or has a bad economy. Sometimes you move to do business or explore or learn specific skills and practices on those countries. One thing that took me to south Africa was a scholarship for masters on a specific course that no Nigerian university offers. During my time there, it was one messy country that I couldn't spend a day after my studies. I returned. But other Nigerians I met there where doing very well with their businesses. But as usual, tribalism was visibly seen amongst Nigerians there. No go close to Igbo people, while igbos would see me and advised that I should be careful with yorubas. |

IronGalaxy:I am wailing about xenophobia. If you don't want Nigerians, do the needful and ask your government to close your embassies in Nigeria and withdraw diplomatic ties. |
| Re: Xenophobia: Nigeria Sacrificed Scholarship Funds To Support Sa's Liberation: VP by morpheus24: 7:18pm On Jul 21 |
JASONjnr:There is some bad cult/fraternity activity there as well. Most doctors I know have also left to Canada and Saudi Arabia citing the same discriminatory actions in health care. |
| Re: Xenophobia: Nigeria Sacrificed Scholarship Funds To Support Sa's Liberation: VP by IronGalaxy: 7:34pm On Jul 21 |
morpheus24:Yes, we don't want them, what else? |
| Re: Xenophobia: Nigeria Sacrificed Scholarship Funds To Support Sa's Liberation: VP by Owombakara: 7:39pm On Jul 21 |
The Nigerian government should stop all this rhetoric . Like the great Winston Churchill once said: deeds not words! Oga vice presido stop all the bs talks and act...fvckin develop some spine and make these SA guys learn. And to fellow Nigerians living in SA you are on your own, if they don't want you in their country I don't know what you are still doing there. |
