Boss I admire all you do, but recommending used lead acid should be a criminal offence

With such loads, you need not BUY inverter at all. Just buy any 12v battery of your choice NEW / USEd and (USEd 2pcs 300w or 1pcs New 625w) Solar panels and any good enough MPPT charge controller

As for being able to recharge your phone(s), there are charge controllers that come with USB ports or buy USB adaptors that run off 12v

Buying things this way gives room for future growth UNLIKE power tanks or whatEver they're called.

If you wanna take thing further, and shave off some costs, you could buy really USEd 12v 200AH leadAcid battery for about 50,000 naira.

Mind you, should you later wanna reSell it to scrap buyers, you could even recoup your money if not make few change on top
@Topper33 see the costing should in case it makes sense to you

2pcs of 300w Mono solar panels = 50,000 * 2 = 100,000 naira OR add small change buy just a single 625w
Used 60A MPPT charge controller = Budget max 100,000 naira
12v 200Ah Lithium / USEd leadAcid battery = Budget between 50,000 to 100,000 naira depending on it's condition

Somewhere along the line, there would be change of like 17,000 to 20,000 naira which you can use to buy NEPA wire to be used as Solar cable because cost of buying copper go chop your money wella especially if distance still far from roof.

You need no breakers or the like though you could always have like a single breaker between the solar panels and charge controller BUT really, not neccessary.

use binding wire of about 500 naira wey you no go even use finish take hang the panels on top roof or pay to have such done on your behalf.

but you all didn't recommend nepa(AC wire) on this thread before now. He should kukuma get 4mm dc wire for 2k per yard as he's using binding wire on the roof.. that's my submission oo

I will not advise anyone to buy Lead Acid Battery, except such an individual has plenty of money to waste.

Nice you changed your write up breaker to be used from battery to controller to panel to controller.. wanted to talk but overlook as you be professional in the field

Who dey sell that used 12v 200ah lithium battery that's good for 50-100k.. abeg i need the seller oo

says who. mayBe you no see am as it's been discussed severally.

Also the 4mm would work BUT only if the distance from roof ain't that far else money no go remain.

As for person wey ask where battery of 50,000 naira dey, e dey if you find am. A lot of batteries being disposed off for sale ain't always bad enough EXCEPT the user na person like me wey go ensure I use the body + soul finish before selling them off.

Once again, this person's load doesn't require much budget and a single 200AH battery is pretty much even if e decide add Tv and PC later.

of course if He/She sees a good enough Lithium based battery even if na 150Ah or 100Ah but of good quality, no issue so long e no pass 100,000 naira. Once aggian, make He/She no go allow their slim budget help dem waste money.

That's even if TRUEly this person actually doesn't have more than such budget. A lot of people come here with silly slim budgets just to see what we would say. e fit still later spend millions

First of all, a Good BMS wey sabi e work no suppose even allow things get to such point. Really nonsense just full market nowAdays.

You would need get a charger or look for someone who's got a charger or someone in that field to assist you. As for ya generator, you minght have to remind me capacity of the battery, inverter, and generator.

Also there's no harm in making an attempt. e no go spoil anything. Just try and if generator cry any how, off am go rent generator.

No need spending money on external charger just for this purpose because those things are pricey

You just need an external Lithium battery charger that is capable of waking that battery up and the price no cheap. Would suggest you find those in that field around you to keep cost low AND yea, your generator would carry it well
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Topper33:
Yeah

Itel swapped the bad components with new ones

Have you been able to get this resolved?

Consider having an external charge controller (mppt).
Once this is solved, adjust your inverter low voltage cutoff to about 12.2v or to any value above the battery's BMS low voltage cutoff.

Won't the inverter wake it with the Gen? Must I need to get the external charger ?

you can try na BUT a lot of times they don't. Either way, be ready to give it at least 2 hours to observe any change so don't rush disconnecting it if you don't quickly see signs

I gat my reason bro. The kind of Nepa we see here is just for charging phone and energy bulb . Most time it is always on low voltage and them no serious on tackling the issue. And the light is as good as useless
