Pls guys can DC current flow through this change over? I want to use it for two batteries. I just need to know if DC current can flow through it.
Hmmm... Well, it seems you'll lose some amount of power and the amount will be directly proportional to the level of resistance of the conductor in the change over switch.

You can use the formula below as a guide.

P=V²/R

I have a question my ogas…please don’t abuse me o…

can I join two 6mm² wires to create a 10-12mm² electrical path…I mean I recently got an Mppt cc that I use with my pv array increasing the current from the cc to the battery,,I notice the wire gets warm during the very sunny day today…so I plan to change the wire to a bigger one but since I have 8yrds of unused 6mm lying around that idea came to my mind grin…..so practically is it possible?

Hmm..who's the 9japrince guy. But i can bet with you 18650 still last 5-10yrs too.. my own battery still strong and last as usual..

Do you know the person budget wey u say make he buy lifepo4 and that will cost him more for a 12v 18ah with BMS..

i just hope your 9japrince seller no later bill him up to 60-70k
9japrince is here on nairaland. 18650 batteries are good but they lost there capacity faster compared to lifepo4 battery. My 18650 batteries with Samsung cells is about 3yrs now, though it is still working but it's capacity has dropped

I got the battery last year, 23k for 18ah, 12ah is about 15k or so though i don't know if the prices have changed. Pics attached.

oh really. My own 18650 still strong ooo.. but depends the load you're using your 18650 to power..

Quote the 9japrince let's know him here now, anyone might be interested to patronise him.. if he sell 18ah for 23k lifepo4 it's a nice buy oo .

Hope BMS is included in this build he did for you?

Share the 9japrince guy contact, and with this build.. it can't enter the fan compartment o

Here is they link to his thread. The battery comes with bms. If the 18ah can't fit into the battery compartment, the 12ah can.

I recently upgraded my home solar power system, moving from a 2.5kVA inverter to the Itel 4kVA Hybrid Inverter. At the same time, I replaced my old solar panels with 4 × 590W Jinko N-Type Bifacial panels, increasing my solar generation capacity to 2.36kW.

To complete the upgrade, I installed a Valto 24V 320Ah (8.5kWh) LiFePO₄ battery, equipped with a JK Smart BMS for real-time battery monitoring, protection, and battery health analysis.

Rather than relying solely on the manufacturer's specifications, I decided to put the entire system through real-world testing to see how it would perform in everyday use.

Overnight Backup Test
My first objective was to determine how long the battery could power my home without grid electricity.

I disconnected from the grid at 6:08 PM and allowed the battery to supply power throughout the night. During the evening, my household load ranged between 450W and 520W, powering my Skyrun Refrigerator, One 18inch Standing fan, 55inch Tv, 3 LED lighting, Airtel Router, One 16inch Standing fan, Playstation 4. Occasionally i used the Microwave. As the night progressed around 11pm I switched off TV and PS4 and some lighting, the other appliance remained, the fridge was powered all through the night and Two Fans

By 7:06 AM the following morning—after nearly 13 hours of continuous operation—the battery still had 61% charge remaining. The JK Smart BMS reported 194.2Ah remaining from the battery's rated 320Ah capacity, meaning only about 39% of the battery had been consumed overnight.

One of the most impressive results was the battery's internal balance. The voltage difference between the highest and lowest cell was only 8mV, indicating excellent cell matching and a healthy battery pack. Temperatures also remained stable throughout the entire test.

Solar Charging Test
The next challenge was to see how efficiently the upgraded solar array could recharge the battery.
Charging began at approximately 10:00 AM with the battery at 61%. Under good sunshine, the 4 × 590W Jinko N-Type bifacial panels delivered excellent performance, reaching a peak charging power of approximately 1.7kW. At that point, the battery had already reached 98%, showing that the solar array continued delivering strong charging power even as the battery approached full capacity.

After about three hours of charging, the battery reached 100%, completing the recharge from 61% to full using solar energy alone. This demonstrated the effectiveness of the upgraded solar array and the charging capabilities of the Itel 4kVA Hybrid Inverter.

Final Thoughts
This upgrade has completely transformed my solar power system.
The combination of the Itel 4kVA Hybrid Inverter, 4 × 590W Jinko N-Type Bifacial panels, and the Valto 24V 320Ah (8.5kWh) LiFePO₄ battery with JK Smart BMS has delivered excellent real-world performance.

The system successfully powered my home for nearly 13 hours overnight while using less than 40% of the battery's capacity. It then recharged that energy back to 100% in about three hours under favorable sunlight, with a peak charging power of 1.7kW.
Congratulations on your new upgrade. I use the same battery, it has been about 5 months and it has been a wonderful experience for me as well

I
jFrankNorfleet:
I've installed and started using it since Sunday afternoon

This was the final installation

1. 6KVA Deye hybrid inverter

2. 16KWH Deye lithium battery

3. Jinko Bifacial 725W panel. 8 pcs

It's been an awesome experience so far as I'm yet to use generator since I switched and the lowest battery percentage I've closed with was around 12:30am at night which was 48%.

Now I don't panic when there's no light or when my light trips off, which it did this morning.
I'd even say I've only used light to charge the inverter this previous night, aside that it's all been the panel. The panel almost always, even at slightly cloudy times, give more power than the shop consumes.

Thanks house for all the advice and I'd like to hear more advice in terms of maintenance, what to do and what not to do.
How much total did you spend
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ebrymDIY: 8:42am On Jul 23
Very wise decision.
I would have recommended same system. The inverter should be the newer model which makes it pairing with the 725W a good one.
I currently use same setup but with 6psc of 610 longi Antis-hading panels and a 5kwh bank. it's over 2months now and last week rain makes it the first time the battery goes to 30% in the morning cause of back to back rain. I run minimal load on the system expect for sunny days where i need to use heavy appliances for few minutes. The inverter also have a smart load feature that can be set for heavy appliances like AC, Iron, Air-fryer, Induction cooker e.t.c. You also can monitory usage online.
I'd say money well spent.
You'll enjoy it.

I believe that’s what unfaized got from Jumia.
I got one for my fan from someone on TikTok in Lagos, and also replaced/doubled the one in my router backup from another person on TikTok, closer to me.

Unfaized:
I don't know how to explain man, but if you get a rechargeable fan today that comes with Lead Acid battery you will understand. There's even a thread for it on nairaland. That's where I got my solution and purchased from Jumia at 8k

We all can't be wrong with our personal experience.

No.. Search for 11.1v - 14v atleast.
With 14v u will be needing external charger.

Sorry I didn't see what you were replacing. Yes 7.2v should work but search for the ones with better customer rating to know what you're getting.

your lead acid battery is a 6v 7ah battery, what am seeing which you wanna order is like a 7.4v right?

The battery would work for your fan, just that ah you're seeing there no real oo.

Why not find a builder if you're in lagos or ibadan to build an 18650 battery suitable for your fan... my own is working fine till date

I'm seeing 2S2P.. that's 2 battery in series and 2 battery in parallel.. that thing they wrote 88000mah na scam oo..

Even some single 18650 cells you see they wrote 4000mah(4ah) or 8000mah(8ah) on the cell body are not the actual ah.. mostly some cells comes in 2000mah(2ah) per cell
