I think it’s the rain that’s causing the poor network. My network has been bad for about a week now. Upgrading of phones or downloading large files (30GB and above) has been a real problem. Even MTN users are complaining. I just pray they get it fixed next week.

I don't think so. Airtel saw MTN ODU as a competition and they aggressively improved their own network in other to retain their existing customers.

I had already given up on airtel until MTN pushed me back to them. It's almost a week into my current subscription and I haven't had any reason to call them or complain. If I don't like my speed, I reboot and everything goes back to normal

I have attached images of my Airtel ODU 25k subscription speed and that of MTN normal subscription without speed cap.

It's almost midnight and you can see the difference. Tell me why I should leave Airtel for MTN

From your two screenshots, MTN is better. The latencies are better than airtel and airtel is just rubbish.

I no longer use it. First one wasn't activated on the ODU service class and the second one is in bootloop

It is really terrible. I was even trying to also see if porting to mtn is possible, but with this series of issues people have (and for fact family comfirmed that airtel still serves fully), I will simply forget it.

Just still observing how it goes on long run.

Its working great for some people though. But if the Airtel is good for u I'll advise to hold till it's in full force.

I have warned people here on purchasing the G5FA that ODU is shit in specs and performance it can't hold but some say it works for them just wait untill u have band congestion you will understand why you shouldnt buy that ZTE shit

Call them again and threaten to port to mtn in the next 2 days if they don't fix it.

That's what I did when mine had issues. You need to see how they rushed and fixed it

I have both G5FA and X25pro but I occasionally still suffer the kbps speeds sometimes that lasts for days unless I call customer care.

So in my case would you say it's both devices that are faulty or just Airtel being Airtel.

A little additional information, when I got the G5FA last year November, I didn't experience non of this downtime kbps speeds until March this year, that's 4/5 months of perfect use on the device till April.

Routers handle network based on congestion and SNR which is used to monitor signal quality so in airtel case their subscription ain't constant many are joining the network against the same bandwidth not unless a site is upgraded which rarely happens coz they manage that traffic by wat we call carrier aggregation for both uploads and downloads so the more your router can aggregate the better the there's a story of bandwidth for instance airtel uses 100mhz of n78 for 5g the maximum bandwidth zte g5fa can accommodate is that 100mhz so if you connected to n78 5g band whether it is congested or not you don't have a supporting band due to bandwidth limitations of the router so you either stay with bad congested n78 band or get dropped to lower bandwidth bands that can be aggregated c

Servers I tried didn't play. Not full screen on TV too.

So, if you're connected to the n78 5G band, whether it is congested or not, you don't have a supporting band due to bandwidth limitations of the router. So, you either stay with the bad, congested n78 band, or get dropped to lower-bandwidth bands that can be aggregated.

Dear mtn odu owners, when you check your balance by dialing *310# what do you see? Hynet flex or home broadband?

I paid for an Airtel ODU 5 days ago but till now I have not seen any installer or the device itself, each day they kept sending me names and phone numbers of different people as installers but each time I call them they saidvthey live far from me.

I am planning driving down to their office tomorrow to seek for refund, has anyone here successfully got refunded before ?

If I can get an experienced installer that can install it for me too I will pay.
