The stock is very cheap; you can buy it. However, check the trade volume and dive into the YTD for past years. "ATH" means "all-time high." Lastly, follow this guy on YouTube to get insights on memory and chip stocks.

Re: Equity Investment. by CSblackpink(m): 4:29am On Jul 25
I'm not a financial advisor; however, I can see that you are a low-risk-appetite investor. Don't dive into the Dangote IPO at the early stage; you are going to get burnt. For MMF, FirstAlly, and TrustBanc are top-notch. CSCS, kindly open an account with CardinalStone for trading, and they also have bonds and commercial papers that might be worth investing in. Lastly, for 100M diversification, you might try Claude AI or Gemini Plus on how to spread your capital into each investment. Age also plays a factor in investment decisions.

Good morning fellow investors. Please I need your input on this...

I'm based in diaspora, however, I've been investing on tbills and stanbic mmf.

Recently I noticed that the rates of stanbic mmf is kinda low, hence I want to move my funds to another mmf that has a higher yield, from what I've read in this page I can see that FIRST ALLY, TRUSTBLANC AND STL seem to be good. However, I'll like to confirm which of them will be suitable for sm1 in diaspora in terms of customer service (like response/replies to emails, calls etc), easy of withdrawal, ease of app usage, etc.

Secondly, how do I get a CSCS account as I am planning to invest in Dangote IPO (is the hype really worth investing in it) and probably diversify my portfolio.

Lastly, let's say hypothetically, I have 100m. How would you advise I share the funds if I am investing in Tbills, MMF, Bonds, Dangote IPO. Or if u had that amount what percentage will you use to invest in the aforementioned.

While I have some knowledge about all these from my little experience and online research, I'll love to hear from real life investors who are already in the game and those with vast experience.

Thank you

Using the mathematical formula minus 110 from your current age.invest the larger percentage in equities and lower percentage in money market funds

Good luck and never sell your stocks unless you are trading 2x-3x leverage stocks. Lastly, keep some cash at hand to buy the dip; nevertheless, if the market is really bullish, do a lump sum to catch the momentum.

I invested in Zedcrest Equity and the Stanbic Iman Fund based on online recommendations.Everywhere I looked, especially on Instagram, people had nothing but positive things to say about them

Now it’s been over two months, and the experience has been far from impressive. Zedcrest they claim has given about 90%, while the Iman Fund is down around 60% . I even lost part of my capital

I keep seeing people say it’s just a dip and that the market will recover, so I’m trying to be patient and even now , they say it’s recovering, they give you gains and take it back And honestly, I’m tired of the back n forth and beginning to wonder where all the gains people talk about are .Are these financial advisors genuinely giving good advice, or are we just being used ?

You got in late; it is normal for equity to give you money and collect it back the next day. Don't panic sell, and you will be fine once the market is back on track. Lastly, equity investment should be held for a longer period of time to see tremendous gains.

heya, dont worry, you will recover in no time

remember is High Risk, High Reward.

when the gains comes, u will recover in a matter of days.

just hang in.

Early Investors really bagged lots of profit.

Remember its a long term investment...... dont focus on short term flunctuations.

So many people have the wrong idea about equity investing.

If every market downturn makes you panic, equities probably aren't the right investment for you.

Equity investing is a long-term game. You should be thinking in terms of at least 10 years or more—that's when compounding really begins to work its magic.

If you know you can't stay invested through market declines, you're likely better off with lower-risk, short-term instruments such as Treasury bills or high-yield savings accounts.

If you don't have the patience to wait out a down turn and continually invest during that down turn
Quit now.
You would just be locking in losses.

Hey, hope you’re doing well today.

Don’t forget you came in late. It’s like walking into a movie when it’s already 90% finished. You can’t expect to enjoy it the same way as the people who watched it from the very beginning.

But don’t worry. Come January next year, make sure you start the movie from the beginning if you really want to enjoy the full experience.

Note , this is not about movie

also note.. January 2026 may not give you same thrill when you watch the movie 🍿 as you will experience when you watch same movie January 2027... especially with elections going on outside the theatre

I’d disregard whatever trend is happening right now. Equity investing is a long-term game, not something to judge over a couple of months. The short-term ups and downs are normal, even in good funds.

My advice would be to keep it simple: invest about 20% of your salary every month and stay consistent. Over time, regular investing tends to matter far more than trying to time the market or reacting to every dip. Patience is usually what separates successful investors from frustrated ones.

All my foreign portfolios are in deep Yakubu. Thank God I have cash at hand, and I keep buying the dip aggressively. My broker even credited me with $50 as a reward for topping up aggressively.

This was my thought when I saw the decline as well - Dividend dip. The yesterday's ASI and the individual performance of stocks didn't equate to the dip we got from CS yesterday. It was too much.
