I'm just imagining losing my phone today.

Then I go to report the case to the police, only to discover they can actually track it and recover my phone... but it'll take 5 years.

I go first weak. 😩

But it's good, though, that her car was eventually found.

All of una wey dey praise the Nigerian police for this kain police work, shey una go praise them when your car is stolen and enjoyed for five years before it's returned to you.

Wonderful police work right there; that a stolen vehicle is transported successfully out of the country, and then imported back into the country, driven inter-State several times, all without the theft being discovered.

It's only after an unfortunate, unsuspecting customer went to the road safety office to register the car did that flag the discrepancy. The thieves themselves are still not caught. Kudos to the police. What an excellent job.

My only happiness on seeing this is that the car still looks neat after all these years. That woman will at least be glad to have a car she's written off back in her possession.

Same year as my Corolla till today no update, I later got a Camry, they came for that one too and almost succeeded but the key broke inside the ignition so they had to abort mission... For my peace of mind I just sold the Camry in 2012 and went for a Jeep Grand Cherokee make I dey fit sleep well

How many bribes were collected for this car to travel in and out of Nigeria and be driven severally inter-state without being intercepted? Your guess is as good as mine.

Kudos to the Gombe State Internal Revenue Service Vehicle Licensing Office. They made the recovery happen and, more importantly, special commendation to them for not looking away or collecting a bribe after they discovered the discrepancies.
It is also worth noting that the woman tried. Her testimony will be pleasant to hear.

Same here...had a vehicle stolen in 2016/2017. Never heard anything agin. Although there was no tracker on the car

And nobody is asking who is the person that's trying to re-registered the car. Was arrested or not? Or the car went by itself to register?
