How many times will Journalists continue to ask Peter Obi this? Are there no more important things to talk about, like to lift millions of people that Tinubu impoverished, out of poverty? That shows you that Nigerian journalism is dead with stations like ChannelsTV Have you seen any opinion polls recently? It's because they have nothing to do but talk about Peter Obi |

How does leaving money lying fallow in the state treasury when the state is in tatters, with billions pending in yet-to-be-honoured contractual obligations, count as an achievement? The biggest economy in the world today is the most indebted, but this salt and pepper economist sure knows nothing about that. Ask him what macroeconomy means and hear the shit load of trash you'd be presented with. This is the most mentally vacuous being I've ever seen, the rarest of the species. |

Peter Obi hardly ever speaks the truth. Even the current senator of his own senatorial district who is now in his camp, called him out when he lied about leaving money behind for the state. Till date, Senator Victor Umeh has not walked back his assertion.

You left a whole 150 million dollars in state account? Why? Not project to execute in the whole of Anambra state? No developmental initiative? Sir with due respect, That's not an achievement. But in fairness, you are just a 5 centimeters better than your peers who squandered state resources |

omenka:The real issue is that Peter Obi elevated corniness into a governing philosophy. Funds meant for contractors were left sitting in the bank to earn interest, almost like a fixed deposit timed to mature just after his departure, while the liabilities he left behind outweighed the cash. Yet today he proudly speaks of leaving $150 million.

It is nothing to brag about in a developing country like Nigeria. The fact that his supporters point to this as an achievement shows how intellectually deficient and mentally abused many Nigerians are. To them, saving such amount was good because he did not steal it. The saved $150 million represent several wasted opportunities for improving Anambra. America is the wealthiest country in world, yet it is the most indebted. China with the second largest economy is also highly indebted. There is hardly any wealthy or advanced country in the world that is not highly indebted. The major reason is that development requires investment in infrastructure. When proper infrastructural investments are made, economies grow faster. A state in a poor country like Nigeria saving $150 million is not a flex. Anambra didn't have the best hospitals, roads and schools in Nigeria when the money was saved. Saving such amount clearly shows that Obi lacks what it takes to take Nigeria from consumption to production. It shows him as someone who likes to play safe, and someone who can't think outside the box. He reminds me of the Biblical parable of the servant that went to hide his talent for safe keeping while his mates invested and multiplied thiers. After thirteen years since he left office, what has become of the so called savings? A more inspiring leader would have invested the money in critical infrastructure that would turn the state around, and would have done so with high integrity and probity. |

What’s the point of leaving savings when you could have used the money to improve the state? People will respect you more if you left 0 and left Anambra in a much better state. What a desperado ![]() |

That's why Soludo, a professional in the business of macroeconomics with first class in his first degree and someone with real banking experience, still has a lot of work to do in Anambra because the clueless ones like Peter Obi had no tangible idea or vision on what to do as an executive governor of a small state with lots of underdevelopment ![]() Jokay07: |

So you mean you don't save money. Once money hits your account, you spend everything and start borrowing to survive. Next thing, you become worthless and your economy becomes useless. Then one day, you will hear one dollar is 5 thousand Naira. You're a funny human being. You don't know what they call working capital. That's why your Tinubu wants to finish us with loans. One day, you will hear Nigeria is now a slave country to small China of yesterday Jokay07: |
