The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has said that the President Bola Tinubu administration will be held responsible if anything happens to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, made this assertion in an interview on Symfoni TV.

Abdullahi said El-Rufai’s detention is not about the law, justice or crime but about politics.

“If anything happens to El-Rufai while he remains in state custody, President Bola Tinubu and his administration will bear full responsibility.

“El-Rufai is not being held today because he committed any crime. That would have been left for the court to decide. Let the court pronounce that he is guilty or is not guilty.

“But to continue to hold him interminably speaks to something else, and that is why it is clear to us that the desire or the intention of this APC government is to continue to hold El-Rufai to ensure that he does not participate in this election and strengthen the opposition. That is exactly what they plan to do.

“This same El-Rufai fought for President Bola Tinubu when when everyone in the Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet didn’t want him,” he said.

I thought El-Rufai was bragging that Nigeria will catch fire if he was arrested. Now, he is in prison and his wife is begging Tinubu that nothing must happen to him

El rufai should come and explain to us how he has been tapping the NSA's phones and other top govt officials.......he foolishly talked himself into treason,he has been granted bail and its nobody's business if he cant meet up even if he does the treason charge will still keep him in there.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has explained why he delegated some members of the party to respond to questions posed to him.
According to the former Lagos Governor, he adopted the delegation method “to show team-ship”.

Nothing will happen to El Rufai.

ADC, it comes off to me that you have no idea how to oppose.

You have Dele Momodu, Kenneth Okonkwo, Bolaji, etc going to different media houses with zero messaging. What is ADC's policy plans? Atiku promised to sell NNPC. What happened to the other assets Atiku sold? Who did he sell them to? How did the former employees fare after they were sold?

What will Atiku do in terms of handling insecurity? He said he would recruit more security personnel. That was in an interview with Charles Aniagolu. Is that not what Tinubu has been doing?

As for El Rufai, did he not say he was listening to calls of the NSA? Nothing will happen to him. ADC, tell us Atiku's plans for Nigeria.
