Quick thinking by Oga at the top.
Disqualifying other candidates/parties and contesting as unopposed candidate would sound absurd and make him look like a tyrant.
So he needed to go back and device other subtle strategies. It is what it is .

This one is going through Adeleke Derangement Syndrome. The plans to defeat him using the courts have failed. Go face him fair and square at the polls and be taught some lessons.
So, you don't have anything than the Party you are following!
For 8- years of Buhari govt you were mute 🤐 but now you are fooling yourself with your Atiku-ADC and you continue to join Obi to it because you are trying to be clever by half.

When Gbajabiamila tried gathered together to form National Association of Former Federal Lawmakers, I know they have something sinister and mischievous to carry out. They've all completed their tenure and return to private life in their various businesses and their professins.

I never thought in my wildest imagination that they planned to use them to sniffle lives out of opposition parties.
Thank God they have failed in their mission given the appeal court ruling today. Even, some of the attendees at the gathering then are never part of this suit.

God will continue to shame them in all their evil plans to perpetuate themselves in power in order to continue stealing our common wealth amongst themselves and their criminal friends.

PROPHETmichael:
Peter Obi appears to be repeating the same mistake he made in the last election, which could once again indirectly boost Tinubu's chances of retaining the presidency. His safest path to the presidency would have been to serve as Atiku's vice president, after which Atiku could have handed over to him. Instead, he chose to run separately, splitting the PDP's vote and indirectly helping Tinubu become president.

If the opposition parties do not come together under one umbrella, as they did in 2015 to defeat Jonathan, it could result in another straightforward victory for Tinubu.

The picture below will repeat itself if they don't come together so that their total votes will be one block instead of splitting.
If he served as VP to Atiku, it would play into Tinubu's hands they would sell the elections as the north trying to sabotage the turn of the south. So even PO will not be able to gather votes in the east, because they would see him as a traitor and of I know Tinubu's playbook, he would release NK who will speak against voting in the election and it will cause voter apathy in the south East. Also SW no one would even bother to look AT ADC and Atiku.

Justices Peter Lifu and Joy Abdulmalik are known for issuing controversial rulings. I agree with the appellate judges who criticized Justice Peter Lifu. He should not continue to serve on the bench.

Peter Lifu is an embarrassment to the legal profession. It is high time the National Judicial Council sanctions him severely.

What is the source of your $16 billion story?

Do you mean the same Buhari that Tinubu called expired in 2011 but packaged as APC change messiah four years later? The old Fulani soldier who Tinubu went to Kaduna to beg out of retirement to make Jonathan a one term president?

Not only was Tinubu mute during his tenure, he reinforced the failure with Yoruba voters in 2019. Do you know why he did that huh

I think it's time everybody got ready for the election. These endless and unnecessary court cases aimed at stopping people from participating should come to an end.

Go to the polls and test your popularity. If you've truly earned the people's trust, they'll vote for you.

And to the ruling APC: if you've governed well, let the voters decide. Using the courts to sideline perceived opponents is undemocratic and weakens public confidence in the electoral process.
did you think if apc wanted to use the judiciary, any party will survive it

You are very correct o.
No wonder the FCT land grabber and his balablu bulaba Aso Rock boss love saying Go to Court. They have the courts in their corrupt pockets.

How can 200 million sovereign Nigerians end this impunity mess huh

chisomkachy:
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.

Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.

The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.

The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.

Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.

The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.

But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.

During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).

The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.

Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.

Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:

“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.

“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”

This is good news, we need a strong opposition even if the leaders like Atiku And Obi, are fragmenting it due to selfishness.
