This is a remarkable initiative by the Federal Government on Nigeria. In fact, I think it is one of the best things that had happened to the Nigerian education sector.

Before this scheme was introduced, I was part of the people who criticised it as a dream which would never come true in Nigeria. I never believed it could happen for real. Thank God it is now happening for real and the beneficiaries are sharing their testimonies everywhere.

However, I think there is a need to let Nigerian students and their parents know that this NELFUND disbursements are loans and not freebies.

This is a call to action for the National Orientation Agency (NOA). There is a serious need for the agency to make videos in Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, to sensitize students and parents about the idea behind NELFUND. Let them know that it is a loan which has to be refunded to keep the cycle running so that other set of students can benefit from it after this current administration. It shouldn't be misinterpreted for election money or freebies from the Federal Government.

I can still remember how students of the school embarked on a Peaceful Protest that later turned violent because Peter Obi sent Security Agencies to crush the Peaceful Students and their Parents that were holding a Peaceful Protest.

Okay, at the end of the day, there is nothing like free education. This is not a defence of tinubu. This is a honest assesment of the facts.

All the countries with free education, they pay for it by taxes or by loans.

And if you think Kenya is corruptuon free, and looter free, you better think again.

Well some are hopeful that one day, government will write off the loans

When Buhari introduced loan sharks to us in 2016, this was how many people were so so happy. I did strong head, didn't collect any of the loans for 2 years that time. Then came 2018, I joined the train. Migo, Paylater, Fair money, Palmcredit, Lcredit, evil Sokoloan, Aella and hundreds of others.

Fast forward to 2026, people have seen that there is nothing good in this small small loans.

But Tinubu just played the fast one on all these children. He took away the ability of their parents to fund their educations and bribed them with loans

Let's fast forward to 2036, this is where we will be when we will start hearing bitter stori s from these children.


If you are still owing one loan or the other, click like. If you are not owing any single one of them click share.

Nice one from Tinubu government. But they should not forget it's a loan that needs to be repaid.

An average Nigerian sees loan as something that can not be paid back.
