45 minutes into Supergirl; formulaic movie. Better than Superman so far. I think the character is a breath of fresh air since she’s no different from any supe in The Boys universe. James Gunn cannot do any movie better than Guardians of the Galaxy. This movie is literally GOTG 5 featuring Supergirl. GOTG 4 was Superman.

I will continue later. Watching it is better than being idle. It sure is better than sharing this forum with ignorant children and better than being frustrated with daily rain not letting my laundry dry. Emotionally, it’s not hitting me. At least I laughed through many scenes in Obsession.

So, Beyond the terrible script, we have to admit our own bias toward good-looking casts. It’s the main reason Hollywood keeps pushing the same handful of "fine" actors like Ryan Gosling and Michael B. Jordan. Even that Off-Campus Ice-hockey show only blew up and hit No.1 on prime because the whole cast was attractive.

I'm not even exempting myself lol, if Sydney Sweeney was in this, her stuffs alone would’ve distracted me enough to make the awful writing bearable.

though the movie had its issues, i shouldn't had done that bad.
Anyway, what parts of the movie do you think the plot was terrible?

The British girl wanting to avenge her parents, then Kara spending the entire movie babysitting her just to teach her revenge makes you hollow... only to kill the exact same guy later because he poisoned her dog? Sigh.

Then the villain conveniently has Kryptonite he’s never used before, immediately recognizes her as a Kryptonian without an introduction, yet Lobo..an actual bounty hunter, couldn't spot it Plus, she's either to weak and getting beaten or insanely overpowered.

Modified.. I almost posted all my private conversations here because I wasn't paying attention. grin

Supergirl 4.5/10
Hmmm, James Gunn need to tell DC fans what he really used that budget money for cus the movie is looking like low quality film

At this moment Superman movie was really good compared to this………at least the dog I wanted to see was there.

James Gunn Is not the right man for this job

Of course

When Robert Downey Jnr is getting $100m and the directors are getting $80m, then add the enormous budget. Endgame alone cost $400m, that is how much it cost to produce an Avengers movie on that level.

Spiderman Brand New Day. 7.5/10.

The movie is very interesting. However, the plot was too simple for me.

The things that sell the movie are
1. Spiderman's jokes
2. The graphics + fight scenes
3. Spiderman and punisher's relationship
4. Tom Holland's acting.

However, the villain, plot and third act are too simple. I think it was done to make it a formulaic family movie. This might not be an issue for others. For me, the evil agency/agency director experimenting on individuals is overdone.

I feel you, I like Hulk’s portrayal, hopefully they have a bigger role for him in coming years.

This Tomb Raider King is just trying so hard to copy Solo Leveling. They created a main character that looks like Jinwoo, try to force yeye aural. Stupid storyline. In fact, everything looks forced

Thought so too until I found out both Manhwa were released months apart. They belong to same Korean Web novel genre

Skill issue.

Use HD converter to Behind up the quality a little.
Mine even came with subtitles.

Not bad considering the opportunity cost is 20k, sitting in a freezing cinema room with no subtitles and the stress of transporting myself to and fro. cheesy

The way everyone gassed this new Spiderman movie eh.

It was good but not that good.

It's better than the Home Trilogy sha.

A good step in the right direction but it doesn't stick the landing.

The third act is like Thunderbolts all over again.

I will post a full review tomorrow.
