Ukraine intercepted only one of 27 ballistic missiles due to Patriot missile shortage — Zelenskyy

Russian forces launched 35 missiles at Ukraine overnight on August 1, including 27 ballistic missiles, as well as 185 attack drones of various types. Kyiv was the primary target of the massive attack.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his official Telegram channel.

According to the Ukrainian president, air defense forces managed to intercept only one ballistic missile because of a shortage of missiles for Patriot systems.

“Only one ballistic missile was intercepted last night simply because there are no missiles for the Patriots. This shortage of interceptors capable of countering ballistic missiles only encourages Russia to carry out such attacks against human lives,” Zelenskyy said.

Seven districts of Kyiv were affected by the attack. Eighteen residential buildings, a school, the Lithuanian Embassy and infrastructure facilities were damaged, while numerous fires broke out across the city.

As of the morning, nine people were confirmed dead and dozens injured. Emergency crews continue to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strike in Kyiv and the surrounding region.

Russian forces also attacked the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions.

Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s partners to provide additional missile defense systems as soon as possible, stressing that they are needed immediately to protect civilians.

“Every package of anti-ballistic defenses saves the lives of our people. And every night without them leads to casualties,” the president said.

Seven districts of Kyiv were affected by the attack. Eighteen residential buildings, a school, the Lithuanian Embassy and infrastructure facilities were damaged, while numerous fires broke out across the city.

Those who moved from Europe to present day Palestine to commit Gaza genocide on Palestinians today are originally from these areas of Ukraine.

As they are killing innocent Palestinians in Palestine and babies in Iran, Russia is giving it back to them by killing their people in Ukraine.

As can be seen from a portion of the World Map poster below, the US is far across both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans safe by thousands of kilometres from China, Russia, and Iran.....Now imagine how the US will respond any of these countries decided to build a base in Mexico, Canada, or on the Pacific close to American territory in order to police the US the same way they are trying to police everyone else..

Ukraine is learning a bitter lesson that will ring for countless generations, which is "don't allow yourself to be used in a giants' game"

I have one of my unscrupulous kinsman fighting for Russia, he was a former Nigerian soldier that later joined Russian military via African Corps kiniko founded by Russian government to massively recruit Africans to help them fight Ukraine as they are running short of Russian men to fight Ukraine.

This guy do update us on our community WhatsApp group and I will just be looking at his stupidity.

If you check all his fellow Russian soldiers at the Frontline, they are mostly above 50yrs which he also confirmed to me in a private chat. I asked him why, he said Russian youths are scared to join their military, that its mostly foreigners that are fighting for Russia. Foreigners from African countries, North Korea, Afghanistan, Syria, etc.

And he said they now rely more on drones as Ukraine almost finished them through massive drone attacks which made Russia to start investing heavily on mass drone production which has helped them push back Ukraine and reclaim lost territories.

He said Russia have released so many condemned Russian prisoners to help them fight Ukraine and most of those prisoners released to join the Russian army to fight Ukraine do run away to enter Ukraine and surrender while some shoot their Russian commanders.

Mputin no get sense at all.

When US says that it's running low on Patriots stockpile, it's referring to the concurrent needs and usage of Israel, Ukraine, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Jordan etc.

Many countries in the middle east plus Ukraine are currently engaging Patriots and other US missile defence systems. That's why it is stretched.

There is a quota that America can make available for sale. Once it is exhausted, it is wise for the warring country to seek peace and press for a cease fire.

Listen, Russia de lose soldiers heavily to this war according to a foolish kinsman of mine fighting for Russia. He said he has escaped death several times to the extent he hides under dead Russian soldiers to evade Ukraine drone attacks. He said sometimes they bury themselves inside mud completely for minutes holding breathing just to avoid Ukraine drone attacks. He said in one mission they lost over 100 Russian Frontline soldiers and few of them had to escape backwards by miracle that that was the day he knew that he will not die in Russia Ukraine war cos I de always tell him to better quit now cos it will only get worst

Best time to negotiate an end to this bloody war was two years ago but Boris Johnson convinced Zelensky enough that Ukraine should fight on. Now Russia has enforced a strict blockade of Odessa, no ship/vessels goes in or out of Odessa, essentially making Ukraine a landlocked country but of course Western media are saying Ukraine is winning, all while the sky in Kiev is fair game for Russia's ballistic missiles.

For God sake this are human life been wasted here, peoples fathers, uncles, brothers, husbands, wife and innocent children are been killed daily.
People are left homeless, life destroyed, family members displaced, people that had a house, a car and millions in their accounts have nothing again, life and property that take years and decades to build are destroyed within minutes.

Then we have heartless people in the comfort of their houses applauding and cheering their favorite sides.

If you have ever visited IDP camps in Nigeria you will never in your life pray for a riot or any form of crisis, you won't celebrate bomb attack on Iran, Isreal, U.S bases. You won't dear celebrate a Knockout or rocket blast on New year night. Watching people living and sleeping in ugly tents in this raining season, waiting for donations and alms before they could eat.

There are less than 700 patriot missiles left on earth currently. Each patriot missile takes over 2 years to make. The US is not willing to give Ukraine more because even the US is short of them. Trump's war in Iran is having dire consequences for Ukraine.
