No! We know better!! By the account of Obasanjo and your own confession on Facebook you are a thief who stole and mismanaged our economy and did so in leaugue with Obasanjo who exposed you. It's all about dog eating dog!
How did they steal more than Tinubu has stolen in Lagos state since 1999 and in the entire country since 2023?

How did they mismanage the economy worse than Tinubu has done in the past three years?

Did they borrow as much as Tinubu is doing now, even though they gave cheap petrol, cheap dollars, less unemployment etc?

For your information I am not a Tinubu fan! However, we are not talking about who stole more money from us than the other! What a comment you have out there!

Stop deceiving yourself. Atiku can't be president. The best chance he had was in 2023 if he and Obi had worked together. He also got it all wrong when he felt he could become president without the help of Wike and his goons who worked against him. That's political miscalculation and that chance is long gone. He isn't a smart politician after all. With his years of experience in the political game, it's unfortunate he gets his political calculations wrong. Unfortunately, he'll be exiting the political scene in 2027. This time for good.
Atiku’s best chance was in 2003!

He was not selfish and brutal enough to succumb to northern pressure for Obasanjo to be like Mandela as he promised them before they made him president in 1999, straight out of Abacha’s prison.

Was 2003 not the first time that Buhari asked for the job of president and failed but locked down the northern votes huh

If truly Atiku wrote that, he is finished. An unwise man. He is still a low man when it comes to politics.

As loud as Wike is, he knows when to be silent to get what he wants. He did his mumu time with the Jonathans' and Amaechis. But when he got hold of the cutlass to cut them off, he was not merciful. Lol. grin

What about Tinubu? He almost prostrated for Orji Kalu's mama who is not that older than him. He even went to meet OBJ who was not his favorite and was silent all through. Then, he did mumu before Yaradua's mama. And the one that beats all of us was El-Rufai. He made him believe that he is too valuable. Even made him shine when he was answering all questions in the UK. Lol. You wan tell me say Cardaso wasn't there before he picked El-Rufai. Lol.

The same OBJ did. He did mumu to all of them. Lol. Baba was just out of the prison and he saw the opportunity. Atiku thought baba didnt know that Atiku and others spent for their selfish interest. Lol. Atiku of all people. Lol.

But Atiku has not got what he wanted. Baba has been his main stumbling block. And the likes of Wike built on what Baba did to Atiku. Yet, that man has not learned his lesson.

I expected him to run to Abeokuta and did his mumu too. He needs to get something from Baba. How to challenge Tinubu. If Baba has Atiku's back, trust me...Tinubu will run to Wole Soyinka to do something. The whole of the Yoruba land will gather round Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, and other first class Yoruba kings to do something. Chai. See how Atiku has killed himself.

Baba only tweaked him to talk. And he fell for the bait. Baba knew him so well that only minor things kill Atiku. Baba kept him so close that he allowed him to be his vice so he can supervise him.

Baba himself wanted the third term...nondoubt about it, because he felt he had to do more. Lol. What he could not do for 8 years. Ha ba! Baba should now that he could only build a foundation for Nigeria na. But Baba didnt fail after all na. Baba was responsible for out super brilliant banking sector which is far better than that of the uS, UK, etc. Only the likes of Luxembourg beats us in that area. Baba changed our telecoms too na. But I think what pained Baba was not able tonsolve power. And till date, no one can solve it. I now Baba could have solved it if not for the Atiku's greediness, and it was so late for Baba to know.

I think this was the reason Baba wanted the 3rd term. He knew himself that if he didnt do it, no one will be able for a long time. OBJ could have. And imagine if he had solved this power issue by 2007 that he left. Think of it where we would be today. OK. Imagine where also we would be if we have no good telecom or if we were still using analog banking system. Lol.

Atiku isnt smart at all. I trust Wike. He woukd zip his mouth. Its after he leaves Ota he would call his trumpet boy to sing. Lol.

What a wasted opportunity. Atikunwas supposed to use this to catch Baba. Be his mumu. Run to his farm and call your guys to beg him again and again. Be his mumu...na you knkw waht you wan get from him. Let him carry the South west battle for you. And then move to the Yaraduas to tackle Tinubu's influence in the north. Make Baba call Obi and Kwakwaso to pipe low. Yes...Baba can do it. Las las....Kwakwanso would pull out. Dem no born Obi well. Obi would stay. Thats how you make Tinubu uncomfortable to run to Wole Soyinka to do something.

Atiku...congrats on another lost battle. Lol. Una go contest 2031? This what we should be discussing with you henceforth. Chai. grin
How is this different from what Tinubu said about making Buhari president to claim his own turn huh

How is he a worse thief than Tinubu who has increased Lagos budget 100 times in 27 years to N4.2 trillion but fails to employ workers to make water available?

How is he a worse thief than Tinubu who is borrowing more than previous presidents who didn’t remove subsidy?

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun made this known at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
Mr. Edun said that the benefit of the subsidy removal will be plough back into various sectors to improve business environment for local and foreign investment.
He added that with the increased revenue from subsidy removal, various palliatives have been made available to cushion its effect on a short, medium and long-term basis.

Ofunaofu:
Report: Current Govt Added More Debt in Two Years Than Nigeria Accumulated in 55 Years

• Decries Nigeria’s debt service-to-revenue ratio

•Urges FG to declare fiscal emergency

A new policy brief has warned that Nigeria’s worsening debt profile and weak revenue generation have pushed the country into a dangerous fiscal position, with the current administration accumulating more debt in two years than Nigeria recorded during its first 55 years after independence.

The report, released by the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE, a Nigerian policy think tank, argued that the country’s debt crisis has evolved into a governance and revenue emergency, as debt servicing obligations now exceed the federal government’s retained earnings.
>
>
According to the think tank, Nigeria’s public debt rose sharply from N87.38 trillion in June 2023 to N159.28 trillion by the end of 2025, with President Bola Tinubu’s administration accounting for about N65.9 trillion of the increase within its first two years in office.

The organisation in the brief titled: “Nigeria Is Borrowing to Breathe—and the Clock Is Ticking”, noted that Nigeria accumulated only about N12.06 trillion in debt from independence in 1960 up to 2015, meaning the current administration added more than five times that amount in just 24 months.

The report stated that while previous governments also contributed significantly to the country’s rising debt burden, the speed of accumulation under the current administration had intensified concerns over fiscal sustainability.

“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has added a further N65.9 trillion in just two years. To put that in perspective: it took Nigeria’s first 55 years of independence to accumulate N12 trillion in debt. The current administration has added more than five times that amount in 24 months,” it argued.

It recalled that Nigeria briefly became almost debt-free externally after the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured an $18 billion Paris Club debt relief package in 2005 and paid $12 billion to extinguish about $30 billion in external obligations.

Picking Atiku As Vice President Greatest Mistake Of My Life – Obasanjo
“Never bite the hand that feeds you.”

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo chose Atiku Abubakar over other qualified Northern politicians and made him Vice President of Nigeria.
That decision gave Atiku national visibility, power, and a platform he would not have had otherwise.

However, ambition got in the way. Instead of remaining loyal, Atiku reportedly acted unwisely.
If the accounts are true, he wouldn't have confronted Obasanjo directly, instead, he would have used proxies to undermine Obasanjo’s bid for a third term.
That move was seen as betrayal.

The fallout from that period never really healed.
To this day, it is obvious that Obasanjo does not support Atiku’s presidential aspirations.
I remember when Atiku publicly appealed to Obasanjo to forgive and let bygones be bygones. Despite the plea, Obasanjo still appears to hold on to the hurt and resentment.

This entire saga is a clear example of the proverb in action.
Disloyalty toward those who raised you can have lasting consequences.
In politics especially, once trust is shattered, it is extremely difficult to repair, no matter how many reconciliations are attempted later.

In Tinubu's case, he wasn't looking for Buhari's favor anymore. He knew he had no backing from Buhari and that Buhari cannot stop him further. He played his mumu card with Buhari before election because he had to stay in the party. Going to another party would mean starting all over. So, he reluctantly supported Buhari for his second bid even when many said he was stupid. But as soon as the election time reached, he calculated who he had gotten, and he moved. That is the game. He moved when Buhari was not innthe country. A well calculated game. By the time Buhari could react, he had locked ElRufai, Aisha Buhari, and many other people loyal to Buhari. Those ones just told him to use non confrontational method so he doesnt destroy his legacy. Unfortunately, no one could match Tinubu in the primary. They tried using Lawan Nd consensus candidate, Bola's team squashed it. Then, Emewerey decided to volunteer himself as the stumbling block by removing money in circulation. Unfortunately, Bola is the bullion man himself. I dont support him, I am just analysing the event.

In Atiku's case, the OBJ's punch is still hurting. A punch that has been hurting him since and he hadn't gotten over. A sign for you is when Obi was his vice, and Baba soften a bit. You too saw how he almost won. But as soon as Obi left him, Baba started again. ObJ is a reasonable Atiku should hold tightly to Obi cos everyone can see that Obi is real choice. Baba would go for Tinubu if there is no other choice. But Atiku is not a grounded politician. He has too much faith in his money. Unfortunately, he met a Bola who had much more. Lol.

People who felt they had arrived but were killed are: Osinbajo, Ambode, Aregbesola, Baba chair or wetin be his name,(even Buhari's camp dont recognise him again). Fumarate is another clown. I can go on.

How has this analysis made Nigeria better under APVC than it was under PDP?

I guess you are rooting for Obi (un)consciously, since you think that he made Atiku almost win in 2019 after saying that Tinubu made sure Buhari won?

What favour does Atiku need from Obasanjo now that Tinubu no longer needed from Buhari in 2023?

If Atiku has too much faith in his money, why did he support Obasanjo in 2003 instead of respecting the rotation agreement for power to return to the north, based on Obasanjo's promise to do a one term like Mandela?

Obasanjo's hypocrisy knows no bounds, just like his hatred for the country that has given him so much since he joined the army several decades ago. That hatred made him refuse to honour his word for one term in 2003 like Mandela, to those who made him president. Atiku's error of standing by him is why we have the south being president for 17 years while the north has only 11 years by 2027.

If Obasanjo did not hate his serial benefactor Atiku so much, he would not have fallen into the trap of master strategist Tinubu for naive Obi in 2023. Of what use was his crying over spilled milk huh

lexylaw40:
The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, on Wednesday stated that the “President-elect” Bola Tinubu asked popular economist, Prof Pat Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.

Akinwale made this revelation while he appeared as a guest on a radio programme on 101.7 YES FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, while alleging that Obi received campaign funds from Utomi, whom he described as Tinubu's "son."

The LP aspirant, who spoke in Yoruba language, said "In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Obi who had purchased the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suddenly announced his exit from the party.

"Initially, Pat Utomi had secured the LP's presidential ticket, but when Peter Obi said he resigned from the PDP and joined the LP. Bola Tinubu, a master political strategist, quickly told Utomi, that everyone knows to be his son to step down for Obi.

"The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

"What Peter Obi didn't know is much more that what he knows, he started collecting campaign funds from Utomi, while Tinubu was giving the money to Utomi.

"This went on until Obi's presidential campaign got to a stage it went beyond target. Obi was used without him knowing," Akinwale said after announcing his departure from the party.

Obi defected to the LP after resigning his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also withdrawing from the presidential race under the party.

The former governor consequently joined the race for the party’s presidential ticket, while Professor Pat Utomi, in June 2022 stepped down for him to emerge as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, unopposed in Asaba, Delta State.

Now we know dictatorships can actually be beneficial in some cases.

Obasanjo would have done great with a third term - may be up to a life term.

Look at the types of leaders we have had since he left office - including the current one who doesn’t even know how his left from right.

Atiku would have been bad but not as bad as Tinubu.

He is not as tribalistic as Tinubu and unlike him, Atiku would have a diverse cabinet made up of intellectuals and technocrats not sycophants and would actually hold press conferences.
