She still perform at PNK hotel beside Amuludun in abesan ipaja Lagos from Friday evening till yesterday morning around 1:30am, I was there and she didn't look sick physically, I can't believe we are seeing her for the last show. RIP the saint Janet!!

Veteran Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician, Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, popularly known as Saint Janet, has died after a brief illness.

The entertainer reportedly passed away on Saturday, bringing to an end a career that earned her widespread recognition for her energetic stage performances and distinctive style of engaging audiences.

Her death was announced on Sunday by publisher and socialite Otunba Femi Davies in a post on his Facebook page.

Confirming the development, Davies wrote,

Over the years, St. Janet became known for her ability to connect with audiences through performances that combined music with wit and social commentary, helping to distinguish her from many of her contemporaries.

Her contributions to the Juju and Highlife genres also cemented her place as one of the notable entertainers associated with the vibrant Nigerian live music culture.

Funeral arrangements had not been announced as of the time of filing this report.

She took a God gifted talent from the church to the street.
But who am I to judge her.
But she's definitely one of the best most talented musician I've ever seen. What a gift!
I once met her in person at an event where she was the guest artist. Not a fan of her lewd lyrics, but admired her talent.

This brief illness thing how come it doesn't kill the whites? The negligence and the glaring incompetence of our health workers is the reason why our hospitals are the death traps they currently are.

Just yesterday, news broke that Nigerian army soldiers had to break into the emergency department of UNN Teaching hospital to get them to attend to a heavily pregnant mother and her 5 year old child heavily bleeding from the head after they were hit by a truck. The hospital refused to attend to them until the soldiers had to intervene. As soon as the soldiers left, the doctors and workers on duty abandoned the woman and her child.
