Working with Wike and serving Rivers people are not mutually exclusive.

Mature politics is about building partnerships where they benefit the public while exercising independent constitutional authority where necessary. Cooperation is not surrender, just as disagreement is not leadership.

Insisting that a governor must constantly be at war with a political mentorr is like demanding that a pilot spend the entire flight arguing with the control tower instead of concentrating on landing the aircraft safely.
The passengers care about a safe landing, not who won the argument.

Rivers people deserve roads, schools, hospitals, security and jobs—not a never-ending political boxing match.

Cooperation that delivers results is far more beneficial than adversarial politics that produces headlines but stalls governance.

When cooperation means allocating a certain percentage of the people's commonwealth to the purse of a certain Godfather then that governor has no business in office. And yes, Wike served 8 years and was left to govern in peace, let him leave other governors to govern Rivers in peace.

Fubara and Ambode are siamese twins. They thought making a u-turn to lick the ass of Tinubu will give them a second chance.

A wise man would have used a different party to contest. Even if it ends in a loss, at least he would have fought not ending up like a confused man filled with cowardice.

He would have been impeached if he defected to another party to contest.
That would have meant losing his ex-governor benefits and privileges including the lucrative lifetime pension. I'm sure even his wife must have advised against doing so since it's not certain he will win in court if he was impeached.
Good decision on his part I must say. I would have done the same if I were in his position considering there were no other good options.

I have no pity for Fubara for chickening out of the fight that supposed to have stretched Wike to his limit and left him with bloody nose.The Abuja peace deal was a trap Fubara would have avoided but rather he got caught in it.

1st, wike is still hurt and his ego will remain hurt that the fubara he brought later hurt him.
2nd. Wike will not be happy that Fubara will be called Rivers former governor.

It's just the people's representatives that were selected that sides with wike.

My own observation is wike knows minister may be the endpoint of his career.
