Your wait may pay off. I nearly bought the 16E because of the price. 17 came out not long after and I picked that, later finding out the 16E was no different from a 14.

It is those who don't know anything about phones that would say what you just said now.

Android Is just an OS just like iOS is an Operating System, it doesn't determine the overall quality of the phone in terms of hardware, technology and durability. And even at that, android os has been outperforming iOS for some time now, iOS has been playing catch-up for a decade now.

Nigerians like I said don't buy technology, they buy names, brand names. You will see a basic phone user buying a proMax series and will end up not using up to 30% of the proMax capabilities, they buy it just to show off that they're using a proMax instead of a regular 17 or 16 version, they're not professional videographers or movie makers which the proMax is meant for .

Apple just makes very minimal incremental changes from one year to the next. Majority a never going to use these new features, or even know what they are. However, through their marketing tactics they are able to push these features as if they are must haves. I currently use a 14 pro max as a daily driver, and a 12 pro max as a backup and for Naija (due to needing physical sim card), and I can emphatically say there is not much difference between these 2 devices.

I will buy it this year non negotiable
