A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s inability to provide his primary and secondary school certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, disqualifies from being Nigeria’s president. Okonkwo charged Tinubu to respect the Nigerian law governing qualifications into universities. INEC had published credentials and other details of all presidential candidates contesting in the 2027 elections. Tinubu had presented only his university certificate, while that of his primary and secondary were missing. This has raised a widespread concern from Nigerians, raising fresh questions about his educational qualifications. However, Okonkwo posted on X: “Nigeria has its laws that should be respected. No Nigerian is qualified to go to a University without 5 credits at the O’ Level. “Tinubu purporting to be qualified for President by providing a foreign University certificate, which the University publicly declared did not emanate from it, without providing his secondary school certificate or its equipment disqualifies him from being President. “The only reason our democracy is in peril is because of judicial rascality. Despite all warnings by the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the National Judicial Council (NJC), some judges have operated as an island on their own, interpreting the laws they made on the bench, bereft of the imprimatur of the legislature. “The judges have usurped the powers of the executive and the legislature from the bench with the instrumentality of perverse judgement.” https://dailypost.ng/2026/08/04/2027-not-providing-primary-secondary-school-certificates-disqualified-tinubu-kenneth-okonkwo/

Why do the opposition still want to till this lane again? Didn't you people learn a thing from the 2023 election? You can't be talking about certificate on someone who was once a senator, Governor of a state for good 8 years, one his first term. Like have you people stopped thinking? |

Shouldn't the opposition be pointing out the flops with this government to the electorates so that they can have a rethink about who to vote for in 2027? Have the opposition given up on winning on the ballot hence doing all this shenanigans |

That it is what the constitution says.. If you provide fraudulent documents, you should be disqualified and arrested.. If Tinubu is allowed to go scot-free, we will be teaching our kids that it is alright to commit forgery, perjury and get away with it. If Tinubu succeeds with this fraud, then we meritocracy, ethics and moral responsibility have died a natural death. We should therefore open our prison gates, look for the most hardened criminals and enthrone them as our rulers. |

The law says highest academic qualifications with SSCE/GCSE the minimum required. |

lamentor78:The law says "highest academic certification" with GCSE/SSCE as minimum requirement. Last time, Giringori went for SSCE instead of his purported BSC . |

M@dnezz is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different outcome. If the so-called opposition is still going this route after it failed spectacularly in 2023, then it’s safe to assume they have already conceded defeat because the outcome won’t be any different from 2023. Tinubu till 2031 |

lamentor78:In 1999, he wrote that he attended St Paul's Primary school Arowolo, and GCI Ibadan in INEC data form, in order to become Governor. Both schools denied that he attended their schools. When people started digging into his data in the USA, they uncovered that he presented erroneous information claiming that he attended Government College Lagos, and graduated in 1970. Government College Lagos, was established in 1974. They found that Tinubu's history was more chequered and muddy than they thought. Tinubu is no longer claiming to have attended St Paul, GCI or GCL, because they are lies and fake. Even Onanuga the president's side kick has refused to comment on this matter because they know that releasing any statement will dig Tinubu's hole deeper. Reno is chopping his money silently and pretending not to see the gbas-gbos Tinubu is receiving online, while you are here defending the indefensible. You think you are smarter than them for hiding their faces and praying that the storm of Tinubu's fake certificate saga would pass, and become overtaken by other events, so that they can go back mudslinging Peter Obi? ![]() |

Lanretoye:CSU gave him admission and he graduated with a BSC. Go and ask CSU what pre-qualified Tinubu to get enrolled into their BSC program. CSU has since clarified that Tinubu graduated from their institution and that is final. The electoral law has SSCE/GCE O'levels as the minimum requirement to contest an election. The law does not require one to post their academic journey but the highest academic certification which Tinubu has done so. You guys attempted to dismiss his BSc as fake but when CSU stood behind him, you are now going to search for his primary and secondary school history which is irrelevant because the law mandates that one submit their highest academic qualification with Secondary School O' levels being the highest. Even if you score F9 Parallel in WAEC it doesn't mean jack as the electoral law requires proof of attendance and completion of Secondary school . The question to ask is why Obi submitted WAEC as his highest qualification in 2023 despite claiming he holds a university degree. And when you are at it, why are there no alumni meetings from the same Nnsuka university with Obi? |

FSBoperator:Did GC Ibadan (which he claimed he graduated from in 1999) or GC Lagos (which he claimed to have graduated in 1970, 4 years before the establishment of the school) certify Tinubu? If Peter Obi had half of the chequered history that Tinubu has, you will be convulsing all over the place.. Even Onanuga and Reno are not considering writing any rejoinder on this matter because it will dig Tinubu's hold deeper and advance this discourse.. They are waiting for the storm to blow over so that they can go back to insulting PO. You are just a pawn in the whole game. ![]() |
