Plenty special things about this youth credit if you have brains grin

Firstly, it is 2 percent interest rate to pay back on the loan if you apply as self employed person no loan app or bank can give you that rate assuming you know what that means grin

Secondly, there are 3 broad categories to apply with; as unemployed, employed and self employed person meaning competition to get approval assuming you know where you belong grin

Thirdly, you get an amount that an "AI" assesses you to be able to pay back based on your account history so not a human analysis that requires a human intervention assuming you are supporting a self centered politican who does not give a shishi about you grin or has a counter program to this other than "I will do something" cheesy

Fourthly, you are expected to use this money to yield some passive income as unemployed, employed or self-employed person so much that you use and repay and recollect to rerun and upgrade yourself that's what japa lifestyle is about not to collect it to drink Hero beer or play betting or buy data to support Bitter Obi for nothing they assume you're a responsible person that would not think of failing to pay back loan with consequences that will not take ypu to Sokoto prison grin

Should i go on and on how it is special or do you need ideas of what you can do with equivalent of $150 to $350 per 90 days repayment? Assuming you are too busy with using your brain to hate and find faults with President Tinubu grin

Person wey get head no get cap while person wey no get head get cap....irony of life....or should i use shoe and wrist watch instead so you can relate it with your tribal and religious champion who once lied so? grin
If dey check serial loan defaulters by geographical location now, am sure ur village ppl nahim full there pass.

So, to you now, he empowerment is a waste! I just don't understand what you people want exactly!

I'm not surprised. You people don't even know what you want! Only to complain, complain and complain about everything. Cho cho cho is your hobby.

The wife gave money to petty traders to invest in petty things like akara, etc, you people cried that she asked you to be selling akara. Ok, the husband has now said, take loan, do what you want with it and pay back in three months and you're already crying that he should have bought tractors and ask people to go into farming!

Is it everyone that wants to farm? What exactly do you people want? Smh
If what I wrote comes across to you as destructive criticism, then you should habe a second look at yourself. I clearly acknowledged that the government's intention was good. I merely suggested an approach the government could use to distinguish between people who simply criticize but not ready to work and those who are genuinely willing to be productive.
I only used agriculture an example, I never said agriculture should be the only sector the government should support. My point was that instead of handing out cash that could easily be diverted to nonproductive uses, the government should provide support in forms that are directly tied to productive activities. How is that a complaint?
If you're not comfortable with people expressing opinions that differ from yours, then a public forum probably isn't the right place for you to be. Public discussions naturally involve different perspectives, its not on me that you have low tolerance for different shades of opinion.

I applied on July 23, as I saw the thread here on Nairaland with same thought as many Doubting Thomases that it's an audio loan, APC members loan, election bribe loan, you have to know someone that knows someone to get it, infact the first and most liked comment of that thread was 'if you've never benefitted from any of these grants/loans from FG click like'.

But I'm here to clear your doubt that it's far from that and it was an easy-peasy without needing anyone or agent to get but just following simple instructions and providing your correct details.

I first sing-up with my basic info like name, mail, number, NIN on app.youthcred.com

It has 3 tiers;

For Youth Corpers
For Employed Youth
For Entrepreneurs/Self-employed Youth

I applied as an entrpreneur/self-employed youth.

I got a confirmation mail on July 30, that my application has been approved!

Now, this is where the main processes began.

It has 5 stages/level from 0 - 5 and all stages are accessibble from your dashboard.

Stage 0 & 1, you answer basic financial questions relating to loans and your experience around credits, banks, lenders & repayments.

Stage 2, you provide your business details, address, business name, number (just put a random number that follows the format) etc.

Stage 3, you link your bank details with BVN and supply your 1yr account statements.
Ths is where the crux of the matter is, it's your 1yr account statements that determines the amount of loan you'll get, in my case #233k maximum, which I took all.
You keep trying/refreshing as this may take time before it reflects.

Stage 4, you set-up your automatic debit repayment link, here you send #50 from your account to theirs for confirmation.

Stage 5, I got the loan today Aug 3!

The loan comes with. just 2% interest rate, 233k to pay back 247k over 3 months, difference of roughly 20k, all administrative charges inclusive.

Also, they have a responsive customer support at; support@youthcred.com

Disclaimer; I'm neither a card carrying member of APC nor their supporter but just a Nigerian and this ain't an approval for Tinubu or APC government but just a confirmation that you can apply for any FG schemes, loans, grants, jobs & opportunities without knowing any OGA at the top and got selected.

MAY GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
I was stuck at the Pin entry. How did you pass that stage. Though, I have lay complains to them and they asked me to make use of a laptop system which I did but still get error of pin.

There’s really nothing so special to celebrate about securing a N500,000 loan from the federal government or a N233,000 loan to pay back N247,000. It should be the other way round. Fed govt should be celebrating people who pick up these loans. It’s the government that’ll reap the reward more.

You can secure better figures from family members who’d lend you such amount without asking for interests.

But this is not the first time FG is giving out loans or grants for small businesses
Why do you feel the need to clear people's bias
The important thing should be the workability and sustainability of the loan
Giving a business a loan with a payback of 3 months seems very unreasonable except they don't really expect them to pay back
people pay back 2m naira loan with 5% monthly interest rate in 6month, and if u have a business or self employed, you cant pay 247k loan back in 3month?. Drop the insults and deal with the numbers.

What is the annual interest rate on a N2 million facility with a half year tenor - that charges you 5% monthly interest - as in the example you gave above? huh

This talk about kids and responsible men isn't relevant.

You can't be taken seriously after this.

The sad thing is that some people will get into trouble after taking these loans - if the Yooba Nesan guy's example is the norm. A 36% annual interest rate isn't a good deal for young people just starting out.

The interest rate is 2% per month. In your example it comes down to 36% per annum if we annualize the numbers. That isn't a good deal for a youth entrepreneur just starting out.

People don't take 2m loan to pay back in 6 months for a business. Such a person taking the loan probably has a job outside the business. This particular loan is supposed to be for a business owner. So can you tell me how you expect a business owner to pay back the capital and interest on a business loan in 3 months?
And yes I'm a responsibleman who earns a living which is why I know it's impossible to generate 100% profit in 3 months. Any futher questions
