It used to be made available by the OP of this thread.

You should find a way to get the Airtel ODU. The major office of Airtel in Calabar should have it. Except if the city is not filled with active data users, which I doubt. In any case, you can go inter state if it comes to that.

I was calling cc steady. When I call cc, they'll take my imei and serial number to the support team to fix. Support team will close the case and say they've fixed whereas I'm unable to browse.

I got really frustrated when I got the wind of this.

I resorted going to their office physically and threatening them. I demanded for a refund immediately. I called the mtn agent that sold it to me and told him I brought their device back to take back my money. He was pleading and assured me it would be fixed. He requested that I remove the sim from the ODU device and insert in a small phone so when they perform a "sim purge" as he called it, it would take effect. He said he'll forward my number to their hq to perform the purging.

I held my peace but told them I'll be back for refund.

Gbam!!! Fixed.

So I complained to Airtel and they seem to be very fast in resolving the network issue. I can confirm as of this moment that all is well right now ✌🏾

Successfully used more than 1.2tb on my new Airtel ODU for this month.

The pro version is pro for a reason. The performance is arguably better on the X25pro and you can infer that from my message you quoted.

The base model tends to work instantly without initial hassle. Doesn't mean the performance is better. If you have both, you'd understand what I mean.

Sorry to hear that but you may need to go inter state. First test normal Airtel sub to ensure it works and then find a way to buy the sim or a full ODU.

As for MTNN, I have a sum total of zero experience with their ODU. You can check their main office in Calabar.

I don't really think that the Airtel ODU and the regular airtel data are on the same server or something.

Here's why I am saying that,if I subscribe to regular plan, I don't get the same speed I get with my ODU. I barely hit 15mbps on my phone (S22) with normal sim. But I do 50mbps consistently on the ODU.

A couple of days ago, my Airtel ODU was so bad. I was doing less than 1mbps download and 50mbps meanwhile I tested the network on a phone and it was working perfectly. This lasted for about two days and I had to chat them on Twitter which they responded almost immediately (unlike MTN) and told me they will fix it and they did.

Please, I'm not an expert so don't take my word as a rule. I'm just stating my personal experience with this Airtel

You are 100% correct when you said Airtel ODU server is not same as the normal subscription server. That is why I do laugh when some people here blame their ODU devices as the problem. If the server is not working, the ODU won't deliver.

They may be on different servers. Also, the sim cards have specific restrictions like data caps. Your sub on the normal Sim may also have caps.

Subs without caps on normal Sims give the highest speeds.

Likewise, specific Sims have specific problems which may stem from wrong registration or stuff like that.

I stream for many hours daily, I have an iCloud storage that automatically backs up large videos from my stream on 2 devices daily too, I watch movies online amidst other stuffs.

I average 30-60gb daily

You recently subscribed. Give it the end or close to the end. I'm thinking long term with Airtel too. Since the impasse with MTNN and their ODU external sim issue is in place, Airtel ODU sub is a no-brainer for me.

Yeah. For my next sub I think I'll go for it. Already gave up on MTN. Their customer service is even more useless.

Hehehe...it's not even about it being cheaper, honestly for me 25k is already cheap enough. It's just my way of saying it's Airtel long term now since mtn no follow.

Yours is esim? Wetin wan damage am? If e damage, you do sim swap na. No be MTNN wey no wan swap to external Sim. I have 3 ODUs, all are external Sims. One 'other way', one X17M and the almighty ZTE G5F. I sub only one at a time.

I have only one ODU. I think I'll purchase another one just incase.
