Hegseth is lying. The US is dangerously short of ATACMS, PrSM and PAC-3 missiles. The US naval commander tasked with protecting the skies over Israel, last week sounded a warning and said he was short of interceptors and would have to choose between protecting his ships and men and protecting Israel. The naval commander had no reason to lie.

Secondly, US forces in the middle east were forced to begin effecting a triage of sorts. Choosing which Iranian missile they'll allow to hit and the missiles they'll intercept. Even they realised that sending two or more patriot missiles to try bringing down one Iranian ballistic missile, sometimes unsuccessfully, isn't sustainable.

Thirdly, this war has opened the eyes of everyone with the faintest interest in military technology and strategy. Ballistic missiles will always be produced faster than interceptors can. Russia has been pounding Kyiv successfully these past few days because Ukraine has run out of patriot missiles and the US have none available to give them.

Leaks emanating from the pentagon indicate that the US currently has less than 1000 PAC-3 (patriot) missiles in its inventory. There is no way the US can put up a defence of Taiwan and Europe should either China or Russia make interesting moves.

For those who don't know, it takes as much as 2 years to produce a patriot missile and current US production levels can only make roughly 60 missiles available per month.

Everything I have said above is what can easily be verified.

Russia just unveiled a very cheap version of the US Tomahawk missile system that is going for about $150k compared to $2ml that the US military industrial complex charges for one Tomahawk missile.

As per drones, the US is nowhere near both China, Russia and Iran in drone production.

The Iranian Sahaed drone that runs on a lawnmower engine cost under $15k. China is building their own arsenal based on this same model at far lower cost. The US MIC will probably charge no less than $300k per unit.

The US MIC is garbage .

The US already spent a large part of its stockpile fighting Russia through Ukraine only for them to allow themselves to be dragged into Iranian war.

Iran has been obliterated. Their only hope now is the threat of the straits. The have no other hope as of now. No bargaining chip. Just fly drones to the straits and threaten global shipping. But that won't hold for long. The GREAT US military has taken over the straits and even Iran can't get their own ships across.
