Osun Election: Prepare to employ your uncle - Uzodinma replies Davido

Mr Uzodimma chairs the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the election.

He said: “It is rather pedestrian for Davido to direct such an appeal to the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum simply because his wife is from Imo State. Instead, his appeal should be directed to the people of Osun State, who will ultimately decide the election’s outcome through their votes.

“The #PeoplesGovernor of Imo State, who also serves as the Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council for the Osun State Governorship Election, has consistently preached peace and reaffirmed his commitment to a peaceful, free, and credible election.”

Furthermore, Mr Uzodimma stated that he had consistently maintained that the APC would continue to appeal to the conscience of Osun voters to support and elect the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

He also claimed that voters in the state were prepared to vote out Davido’s uncle over his alleged failure to fulfil his campaign promises.

“The reality is that Governor Ademola Adeleke has, in the opinion of many, failed woefully in the discharge of his responsibilities. This is why many Osun voters are determined to vote him out in the August 15, 2026, governorship election.

“The signals emerging from across Osun State are clear. There is a growing indication that a significant number of voters have rejected the current administration and are prepared to embrace a new direction”, said the governor.

“Be ready to employ him”

Additionally, Mr Uzodimma urged the “Timeless” crooner to channel his energy into supporting Mr Adeleke after his expected defeat in the forthcoming governorship election, rather than making emotional appeals.
He also advised the singer to prepare to sign his uncle as a dancer in his music band, saying he could be out of a political job if he loses the governorship election.

Mr Uzodimma noted, “Rather than attempting to influence Governor Hope Uzodimma through emotional appeals, Davido should concentrate on helping his uncle prepare for life after office, as the people of Osun appear ready to cast their votes massively in favour of the APC candidate.

“Perhaps, Davido should also begin making preparations to officially sign his uncle as a dancer in his musical band, because judging by the mood of the electorate, he may well be out of a political job after the August 15, 2026, governorship election.”

Pedestrian reply. Tell your principal to guarantee a free and fair election and let the electorates decide. The intimidation, arrests, account freezing and other undemocratic antics are not going unnoticed. If Tinubu is resorting to all these in order to win an election in his own state of origin, it goes to show that he is very unpopular.

When I say we are not truly living in Nigeria, I know what I am saying. We suffer so much so that a few of us can enjoy. In Osun State, Sadat Bakrin-Ottun and her audit firm were contracted to carry out the Osun State civil service staff audit and forensic payroll audit. What they found out was mind blowing.

She stated that a single bank account, linked to a single name and BVN, was receiving 962 salaries monthly, with one specific account even receiving 5,615 monthly salary payments.

Do you know how much is involved here?

You may wonder why this is coming out now that the governorship election is around the corner, and I wonder the same too. But if this audit report is anything to go by, we are in serious trouble in this nation.

Now you see why people can give anything to get into office in Naija.

There are 2 types of budgets, recurrent and capital and he's in charge of both.

On top of that, nearly the whole of the family are public officials on government payroll including Davido as the State chairman of sports trust fund.

I don't know what kind of sports management or financial Management expertise that appointment was based on.

The governor's son is also the commissioner for local government affairs.

Another son is a a special adviser on government House affairs, a silly and ridiculous made up position.

The daughter is also the commissioner for federal affairs, another pointless and made up position designed for her to go and sit in Abuja and enjoy life because I don't see what federal government affairs she's managing in Abuja.

I've never seen this kind of blatant corruption and wholesale nepotism in my life.

Their wealth is almost like a gimmick because they are all feeding on this small State like vampires.

Imagine, the same family produced governors, senators, richest man in the state and a popular music star in Nigeria and they've done nothing to move that state forward.

Osun today is like a local government.

The lowest performing local government chairman in Lagos is 10 X better than Adeleke.
