Not through the lens I'm viewing this.

The team over the last couple of screamages and world cup qualification has shown major deficiency in a some areas and that's what I am primarily observing to see if adjustments have been made and so far that's not the case.

Top on the list is our 3% shooting and it's still as atrocious as before.

We are also not taking care of the ball and committing schoolboy turnovers.

Shooting has been average at best and that's because Musa put in a good shift.

Our offensive schemes are also haphazard. Can't quite figure out what they are trying to do.

It's the first half of the first game, a lot of games still to play, but I hope we improve as we progress.

3rd qtr not so good, the Chinese know we cant shoot, hence, them playing zone, we need to move the ball quicker to counter that, if we cant make our shots, we need to attack them before they set up..

We lost the game 67-70. Is this how we want to play at the FIBA World Cup in Berlin 😲😲? This is why I keep pushing for at least 4 new players in the Squad. If you can't shoot very well, what is the point playing in a Nigerian Jersey ? I don't hate Blessing Ejiofor but she is not adding much value to the team 😬. At least give the ladies strong instructions and if they can't abide with the instructions, they can pack their bags and go home. We are struggling with China. We have not even played Belgium and Spain 😬😲.

The U-18 D’Tigress’s shooting, today vs Cameroon, is much better

....I wont be to hard on them yet, some former players did not play today...Ezinne, Amy, Nicole, Elizabeth....our shooting was not too good though....
Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by carbonado(m): 8:02pm On Aug 07
We just lost in O.T to Cameroun by 1 point,Things i did not like, we were playing press in the first and second qtr, that should not be, especially for this age grade, they will gas out, whereby towards the end of the game, their hands and feet will be very heavy.....one of the reasons they could not see out the game. In the second qtr, they(Cameroun) changed by using their big to bring the ball down, or in some cases the 2 bigs were playing two man action, because their bigs were quite long, they got to rim really quickly, we did not read this on time, we were not tracking them, hence, they closed the 8 points lead....by the last qtr, most of our girls were tired...all in all, it is a learning phase...

Joined in game late and all I'll say is the display so far is very concerning. They could barely make a shot the last 7 mins of the game. It was brick upon brick.

No improvement from the concerns I'd hitherto highlighted. Liked what I saw with Maryann Dauda though.

Damn! That’s really concerning! I couldn’t watch the game because I couldn’t info on the tip-off time. But I hope the ladies do better in the 3rd leg of the series

The U18 Tigresses ended up being my only joy source across the sports scenes today. Super Falcons falters. Flying Eagles could not fly.

Thank you Young Tigresses.
