From 2 Rail Lines to 12: Is Lagos Finally Solving Its Transport Crisis? by Gpropertys(op): 9:46am On Aug 08
Lagos currently has two operational rail lines—the Blue Line and Red Line. But LAMATA is now planning something much bigger: 12 rail lines across Lagos, including routes connecting major corridors like Lekki, Ikeja, Ota, Ojo and Agbowa.

But here's the big question:
Is Lagos genuinely building the transport system of the future, or is this another ambitious government plan that may take decades to materialise?

🎥 We broke down the entire 12-line master plan and what it means for Lagos.

What do you think—can Lagos really deliver all 12?

Of course. The socio-economically progressive policies and reforms of Tinubu is setting up the stage to make States and Nigeria richer. Projected $Trillion dollar national economy by 2030.Etc.

It is up to individual States to determine how much they wish to thrive or remain underdeveloped. Rail transport is the future of Lagos because of her massive and growing population. Developing it optimally is a necessity rather than a choice.

Lagos will always have the political and administrative talent to achieve that.

To south easterners Lagos state is there America, Singapore, china, Russia, Canada or UAE. This is very commendable from the Lagos state government

Lagos no try when it comes to transportation system, although it's trying.
With population of 20 Millions and growing, Lagos no try.

Lagos should be solving another transport problem right now not train network we are just building and celebrating it.

Remove Tinubu's family and the Governor "Kingmakers", Lagos will be transformed to second Dubai or Johannesburg.
When Ambode was Governor of Lagos, his focus waa total transformation of the state. He started a total transformation in the rail, roads, flyovers and bridges. He was spending about 80% of Lagos money on Infrastructures. If they had allowed him, by now fourth mainland bridge woukd have been completed from Lekki-Ajah axis to Ikorodu.

The amount of money that is generated in Lagos in a month is what some states generate in a year. However, over 60% of that money lands in private pockets of a few individuals who call themselves owners of Lagos.

Can you point us to your family root in Lagos? You come from Ogbomosho and be forming "our Lagos" just like Tinubu from Giunea and Iragbiji is now the owner of Lagos. Where is your family lineage in Lagos?

Your insinuation is well founded.

So please why is Abuja Anambra Abia Enugu etc not been transformed into Dubai since Tunubu hand never touched them ?!

Your comment shows bigotry is a foolish game no intelligence person play. Get a grip of your life, nobody send what you think about Lagos.

As with other large cities in other parts of the world, the Lagos state govt have done well in creating various means of transportation to cater for millions of residents - Road network/BRT, Ferry service, now Train services.. it’s very commendable.

They need to open up more TRAIN routes - Ikorodu to Island connecting various routes, Island to Lekki/Epe, etc. Also expand the ferry services.

Kudos to the Governor and the State

A lot of people like you are the problem of Nigeria, you lie just to tarnish the image of whoever you hate

The same Ambode who abandoned the construction of all the railway lines in Lagos state because he has an issue with the party hierarchy in Lagos is who you're telling us transformed the Rail sector grin
