This decision does not sit well.

How can an unelected aide lead elected governors on an official mission? Governors were chosen by the people and should not be placed under someone without an electoral mandate.

Even if the Chief of Staff is representing the President, the structure matters. Leadership should reflect respect for democratic positions.

This move sends the wrong message and raises concerns about proper governance. Nigeria deserves better order and clarity.

He was a Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, so eminently qualified to lead them. Same way a Catholic Bishop Emeritus lead current Bishops to Aso Rock and opted to speak for them even though he is retired. If Cardinal could do it, Gbaja is equally qualified to do it.

The problem with the opposition in Nigeria is that they are often empty upstairs,whoch is not surprising because most of them are people displaced from the national banquet table who are thus aggrieved and looking for all means to come back to get their share on the table.

Governors are elected to govern their States andnthatnis where they are number one. Therefore, a foreign delegation at the Federal level can be led by anyone appointed to do so by the President. The Electoral mandate of the Governors does not extend to that and the ADC spokesman and his cohorts should know that. Criticism just for criticism sake is sometimes annoying.
