Davido’s Rigging Fears: Tracking Osun Votes From Polling Unit To Collation. by CharlesCNG(op): 5:56am On Aug 09
Making Osun Results Traceable From Polling Unit to Final Collation.

As Osun heads to the August 15 governorship election, the key question is no longer who MIGHT rig the election, but whether every declared result can be traced back to the polling unit where votes were counted.

That is the idea behind Smart ElectionGuard Pro, developed by SoftSmart Enterprise Solutions.

Once Form EC8A result sheets become available through INEC's IReV or other authorised evidence sources, the platform uses AI-powered OCR to extract the figures while preserving the original EC8A, creating a verifiable evidence trail.

Results are organised from Polling Unit → Ward → LGA → State and displayed through a broadcast-ready Smart Scoreboard showing votes, percentages, rankings, EC8As verified and reporting progress.

Smart ElectionGuard Pro does NOT replace INEC, BVAS or IReV, nor does it declare official results. It is a mirror, not the referee—an independent transparency and verification layer.

Tested during the Anambra governorship election and later deployed for the FCT Area Council and Ekiti elections, the platform is designed to shift election disputes from allegations to evidence.

Show the polling unit. Show the EC8A. Show the figures. Show the collation. That's how technology makes manipulation harder to hide.

Making Osun Results Traceable From Polling Unit to Final Collation**

As Osun prepares for the August 15 governorship election, the argument should move beyond whether somebody MIGHT rig the election to a more important question:

Can every declared result be traced back to the polling unit where the votes were actually counted?

That is precisely what Smart ElectionGuard Pro, developed by SoftSmart Enterprise Solutions, is designed to do.

The independent platform introduces what its developers call “visible collation.”

Once polling-unit Form EC8A result sheets become available through INEC’s IReV system or other authorised evidence sources, Smart ElectionGuard Pro can digitally ingest them and use **Artificial Intelligence and Optical Character Recognition (OCR)** to read and extract the figures.

But extraction is only the beginning.

The original EC8A is preserved alongside the processed data, creating an evidence trail that allows figures displayed by the system to be traced back to the actual polling-unit document.

The results can then be organised through the election hierarchy:

Polling Unit → Ward → LGA → State.

And Nigerians can actually watch that process unfold.

Smart ElectionGuard Pro's broadcast-ready Smart Scoreboard can display candidate votes, percentages, rankings, polling units reported, EC8As verified and reporting progress as results arrive.

Its Candidate Board separately provides neutral information about everyone on the ballot without displaying results or declaring winners.

The technology does not replace INEC, BVAS or IReV, nor does it declare official election results.

It is a mirror, not the referee—an independent transparency and verification layer built around documentary evidence.

The technology was demonstrated during the Anambra governorship election and subsequently deployed by its operators for the FCT Area Council and Ekiti elections, providing practical testing of real-time result ingestion and presentation.

Osun can take that transparency further.

If a dispute arises over a result, the conversation should increasingly become:

Show us the polling unit.
Show us the EC8A.
Show us the extracted figures.
Show us what entered the collation.

That is how technology makes manipulation harder to hide.

Nigeria's election debate needs to move from allegations to evidence.

Smart ElectionGuard Pro is built to provide the receipts.
😂. He gets tracker niiii. Adeleke's defeat is imminent, he's a goner.

The most important thing is not who wins or loses, but that the outcome can be independently verified.

The focus should be on preserving polling-unit evidence, making results traceable from the polling unit through each stage of collation, and resolving disputes with documentary proof rather than speculation.

Independent transparency tools such as SMARTELECTIONGUARDPRO can contribute to that process by helping organize and verify publicly available election records without replacing the official electoral process.

Highest spender, highest rigger will win the Osun state Guber election

All those contesting are not different from each other

Hahaha. This is even better. APC knows all these after election rigging won't work like before that's why they are desperately desperate to pull up all tantrums before the actual election day. In the end, this will be about the margin of victory. It would be so embarrassing for the loser.

I agree that money politics remains a serious problem. But the claim that the highest rigger always wins is becoming harder to sustain without leaving evidence.

That is where Smart ElectionGuard Pro comes in.
Tested by its operators in Anambra, the FCT and Ekiti, it independently ingests Form EC8A results, uses AI/OCR to extract figures, preserves the original sheets and builds a traceable trail from Polling Unit → Ward → LGA → State.

If figures change along the way, the question becomes: Where is the EC8A evidence?

The future of fighting election manipulation is no more louder allegations—it is better evidence.

Exactly—and that's the point. Technology is making it harder both to rig elections and to use "rigging" as an excuse for losing.

Smart ElectionGuard Pro is based on AI OCR technology DEVELOPED by Goggle and is politically neutral.
It doesn't care whether the figures favour APC, PDP, NDC or any other party.
It captures available EC8A evidence, extracts the data with AI/OCR and traces results from Polling Unit → Ward → LGA → State.

If figures change, the evidence exposes it. If they don't, the evidence speaks for itself.

Transparent technology protects the winner, exposes the cheat—and sometimes the sore loser too.

Have you not been seeing video of people swearing an oath before collecting money for the election. Those are the ones available now, there are many underground

And as for the highest rigger, probably you are not conversant with Nigeria election.

You're raising a different problem: vote-buying, not result manipulation.

If an adult chooses to sell a vote in a private transaction, technology alone cannot prevent it. That doesn't make it acceptable; it makes it difficult to police without infringing individual freedoms.

Politicians also face a prisoner's dilemma: each fears that refusing to buy votes while opponents continue could be electorally costly. That explains the cycle—it doesn't justify it.

The solution is stronger enforcement, voter education, prosecution of vote buyers and middlemen, protection of ballot secrecy and making vote-buying increasingly risky and ineffective.

But don't confuse that with result rigging.

Once votes are cast, EC8A, party agents, IReV and independent tools like Smart ElectionGuard Pro help ensure the votes counted are the votes declared.

Vote-buying corrupts voter choice. Result manipulation corrupts the result. Nigeria must fight both.

You are still giving excuses. Rigging mostly take place in rural areas, where average people can't have access to go verify the real numbers of the voters

Vote buying , rigging and intimidating can only reduce in Nigeria politics not that it can be totally eradicated

OSUN 2026: WE WON’T JUST SHOW YOU THE WARD RESULT — WE’LL SHOW YOU HOW THE NUMBER WAS BUILT By CharlesCNG.

Yesterday, ahead of today's Osun governorship election, Osun REC Oluwatoyin Babalola signed the result sheets for the state's 332 Registration Areas/Wards.

Let's understand what that means.

A signed blank result sheet is not evidence of a pre-written result. It is an authentication measure.

But it raises an important transparency question:

When numbers eventually appear on a ward result, can Nigerians independently reconstruct how those numbers were built?

With Smart ElectionGuard Pro, that is precisely what we intend to do.

LET'S USE EDE NORTH — NOT THEORY, BUT ACTUAL POLLING UNITS

Ede North has 11 wards.

They include:

Olaba/Atapara, Abogunde/Sagba, Ologun/Agbaakin, Olusokun, Alusekere, Sabo/Agbongbe I, Sabo/Agbongbe II, Isibo/Buari-Isola, Apaso, Asunmo and Bara Ejemu.

Now take:

ABOGUNDE/SAGBA — WARD 02

INEC's directory lists 22 polling units in this ward.

And these aren't imaginary units. Among the actual polling-unit locations are:

PU 001 — 16 Popo Street, Orita Bode
PU 002 — Sufianu Main Compound
PU 003 — Federal Polytechnic, in front of Ramat Hall
PU 004 — C.A.C. Primary School, Talafia
PU 009 — Abogunde Compound
PU 013 — Sagba Junction
PU 014 — Open Space, Oniso Compound
PU 018 — Alagbede Compound
PU 020 — Ajeja Compound

Indeed, PU 009, Abogunde Compound is the polling unit associated with Governor Ademola Adeleke's voting in previous elections.

Now watch what happens today.

As the EC8As from these polling units become available through IReV, Smart ElectionGuard Pro can process the available documents and build the arithmetic from the bottom upward:

EC8A → POLLING UNIT → WARD → LGA → STATE

For illustration only, suppose:

PU 001: ACCORD 170 | APC 110
PU 002: ACCORD 201 | APC 95
PU 003: ACCORD 185 | APC 130

And after processing the available results from the ward, the underlying EC8As eventually total:

ACCORD — 4,120
APC — 2,580

Smart ElectionGuard Pro can independently reconstruct the ward arithmetic.

But this is where our philosophy becomes important:

DON'T TRUST OUR 4,120 EITHER.

Click the number.

Go backwards.

See the 22 polling units.

See the individual figures.

SEE THE EC8As THAT BUILT THE NUMBER.

Then compare our independently reconstructed arithmetic with INEC's statutory ward collation.

If both say:

ACCORD — 4,120
APC — 2,580

we mark:

✓ RECONCILED

But suppose the underlying EC8As total 4,120, while the official ward collation records 3,920.

Smart ElectionGuard Pro does not automatically scream:

“RIGGING!”

Instead:

⚠ RECONCILIATION DIFFERENCE DETECTED

Then ask:

Which polling unit?
Which EC8A?
Which figure?
Where did the difference enter the chain?

That is evidence-based election monitoring.

And we don't stop at Abogunde/Sagba.

Repeat the process across Ede North's 11 wards.

POLLING UNITS → 11 DIGITAL WARD RECONSTRUCTIONS → EDE NORTH LGA RECONSTRUCTION

Then compare that independently reconstructed LGA arithmetic with the official LGA result.

Then repeat across Osun.

INEC remains the statutory referee.

Smart ElectionGuard Pro is the mirror.

We independently reconstruct the arithmetic from polling-unit evidence upward and ask one simple question:

DO THE NUMBERS RECONCILE?

If they do, say so.

If they don't:

SHOW THE DIFFERENCE. SHOW THE POLLING UNIT. SHOW THE EC8A.

Today there will be predictions, accusations, screenshots and victory claims.

Our response remains:

FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE.

Polling Unit → Ward → LGA → State.

And whenever somebody asks:

“WHERE DID THIS NUMBER COME FROM?”

Smart ElectionGuard Pro's ambition is to answer:

HERE ARE THE POLLING UNITS.

HERE ARE THE FIGURES.
HERE ARE THE EC8As.
CHECK THE ARITHMETIC YOURSELF.
