Strait Of Homuz: USA And UK Oil Companies Posting Big Profits Despite Blockage by Lordly13(op): 11:19pm On Aug 06
Oil Companies in the world are disputing the fact that the Strait of Homuz disrupted world oil production, and their higher monthly profits speaks volumes.

There are 190 UN recorded nations on earth, and 90 of those nations have Oil, the strait of Homuz is only used by less than 10% of these 90 oil nations. Which affect, the world can easily find alternate among the remaining 83 Oil nations.

Muyu Xu, a Chinese Senior Crude Oil Analyst At Kpler, told Al Jazeera that "This meant that oil producers, especially those whose exports were not affected by the Hormuz traffic bottleneck, were able to benefit from higher oil prices and stronger demand from countries and refiners seeking alternatives to Middle Eastern crude,”

Here are the profits from Oil companies around the world that proofs this fact:

Despite most production being far from the Strait of Hormuz, Big Oil just posted huge quarterly profits driven by higher oil prices and war-driven refining margins:

US Majors:
- ExxonMobil: $14.5bn profit, $14.7bn adjusted. Highest quarterly profit in 4 years. Beat on refining, missed Wall Street due to Qatar disruptions.

-Chevron: $12bn profit. Highest in 6 years, beating estimates. Upstream earnings +200% YoY to $8.2bn. Downstream hit $4.9bn, best since early 2010s.

Europe

- Shell: ∼$10bn profit. More than doubled YoY, beating forecasts. Boosted by oil, gas, and resilient LNG despite some Middle East disruptions.

- TotalEnergies: +67% to best quarter in nearly 3 years. Higher oil prices + strong refining/chemical margins offset weaker LNG.

- BP: $5.73bn profit. More than double the $2.35bn from a year ago, beating forecasts.

State Oil

- Saudi Aramco: $32.69bn profit. +44% YoY. The world’s largest state producer. East-West Pipeline has cut reliance on the Strait of Hormuz for exports.

The Strait of Homuz holds only 20% of the worlds Oil transit (5 to 7 oil nations), it can easily be alternated among the 83 other oil selling nations.

But the Strait of Homuz holds 90% of Iran oil transit, which means it's 90% worst for Iran, while the world moves on.

The Strait of Homuz amount to 20% of the worlds Oil transit but the Strait holds 90% of Iran oil transit, which means it's 20% disruptive to the world but 90% disruptive for Iran, while the world moves on to alternatives oil route in the remaining 80%.

In short, Iran is finished no matter you slice it
Re: Strait Of Homuz: USA And UK Oil Companies Posting Big Profits Despite Blockage by Stoplying: 4:28am On Aug 07
They are making huge profits because scarcity of oil increased the price of oil and they bought their oil at a much cheaper price than what they are selling it for.

It's not that complicated.
So no, Iran isn't screwed. People in the west are going to find fuel to be too expensive 🫰🏿

Nothing concern Iran, na US and UK masses dey suffer the thing. Since there is scarcity they will have to sell the oil for higher prices despite buying it at cheaper price.
Na tramp cause am grin, November elections are coming...and the Strait is not even open at all, how does he keep oil prices lower? They are in for a long thing

Height of delusion.
US is the biggest EXPORTER of oil in the world by far.
That's why their economy is robust despite rise in pump price.

Iran, on the other hand, see below my thread that made front page two months ago when Iran was still "good" grin

They're not oil sellers, they're oil buyers, they buy and refine

The Strait of Homuz disrupted oil 20% for the world, but disrupted 90% for Iran. While the world can find alternatives through the other 83 Oil selling nations, Iran is locked downed.

Oil price in UK was around 3 euros last year, still around 3 euros this year. Same in the US, But only California is selling oil for $5, that's because it's a democratic state against Trump.

For your information, USA is the largest oil producers in the world, Larger than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined, they've been the largest for 10 years

Scarcity where? USA is the largest oil producers in the world, larger than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined.

UK is among the top 10 oil producing nations, and the strait is 20% disruptive for the world, but it's the only sea oil route for Iran. So Iran is not selling oil 😊

Now who's losing? 😂

On the Oman side of the Strait, Saudi Arabia, UAE etc are selling their oil, but USA has blocked the Iran side, Iran can't sell oil or anything.

IRAN'S STRATEGY BACKFIRED HEAVILY.

You dey read, 1. Homuz is the only way Iran can sell oil, but USA has blocked it.

Get it?

2. But every nation is still using the Oman side of Homuz.

Iran has access to the Caspian sea through which it can sell it's oil.
The Caspian sea is bordered by Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.

These are major oil nations, Iran's competitors, so Iran can't profit using the Caspian sea.

The Strait of Homuz remains 80% of Iran's oil transit.
