Is it the same jews who 1) disobeyed God from the beginning since Egypt 2) several times tried to drive away God from them 3) even deliberately raised up gods for themselves so as to annoy God into wiping them out. 4) murdered God's prophets who warned them about parting from The Way. 5) murdered God's Son, Who the Messiah Jesus Christ because He told them that they were devils. 6) Same people who have made themselves enemies of God by partaking in Lgbtq and other abominations God hated. It is their report that you are believe and that you want others to believe? A Stop being Wike d |

werisetogether:He deliberately chose to be insincere. How can someone say those verses are not about Messiah even when Daniel explicitly mentioned the "Messiah will be cut off" Daniel 9:26 The guy later turned against the scriptures claiming it's talking about Isaiah!😟 |

You're the one bringing politics into this. You referenced Hebrew figures and Jewish communities to support your position on Jesus Christ. Given that, it was reasonable for me to go into detail about Jewish communities, their official language at the time and to date, and the history of Israel in that period, especially since you yourself encouraged doing independent research. That's why I brought up the issue of translation: To show that if the story you believe is true, then the Gospels should have first been written in Aramaic or Hebrew. werisetogether: werisetogether: |

You're the one being insincere. I've already shown you how Israel fits the Suffering Servant description, not Jesus Christ, who was a celebrity figure with crowds following Him everywhere. They even tried to force Him to become king, but He withdrew away from them. You also brought up "cut off" as evidence for Jesus, but I already refuted that with Ezekiel 37:11–12, which shows Israel fits that description instead. So why are you so scared of admitting the truth? It must have something to do with how you were trained by your former religion. Isaiah explicitly calls Israel “my servant” “But you, Israel, my servant,...” Isaiah 41:8 And Isaiah 53 itself can fit Israel's experience. The servant is: 1. Despised and rejected 2. Afflicted 3. Oppressed 4. Suffering unjustly 5. Associated with transgressors 6. Ultimately vindicated and 7. Afterward receives an exalted position Ezekiel 37:11–12 Israel's “death” and restoration This is particularly relevant to an Israel-as-servant interpretation: “Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.” “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel.” The Torah tells us how to discern the truth, so those of us who love the truth will always follow this guidance, but you don't like the truth so you just follow anywhere your belle face. Deuteronomy 18:21–22 “And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?’ when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass, that is the word which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.” MaxInDHouse: |

MaxInDHouse:Thanks for your input into this conversation. I appreciate your dedication to the Truth. The good thing about clearly stating the facts here is that other people are free to read through and make up their minds for themselves. Unfortunately, anyone who has made up his mind to blindly side haters of the Messiah Jesus Christ will ignore sound reasoning Glad connecting with you here. Remain blessed |

werisetogether:You are welcome! He has been creating threads upon threads on this same topic and i often attend to him trying to reason with him but this one is the height of insincerity on his part. Daniel 9:26 says the Messiah will be put to death but Isaiah said he will reign forever {Isaiah 9:6-7} this means if the Messiah is one person surely he can't fulfill all these prophecies in just a life time. God bless you! |

So the Messiah according to you is not a person but the entire nation of Israel!🥱 MindHacker9009: |

There are many titles used in the Bible for the Messiah! * Seed Of The Woman ~ Genesis 3:15 * Shiloh ~ Genesis 49:10 * Prophet ~ Deuteronomy 18:18-19 * Mighty God ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Wonderful Counselor ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Everlasting Father ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Prince Of Peace ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Israel/Jacob ~ Isaiah 41:8 * David ~ Ezekiel 34:23 So God used so many descriptive names to help any serious scholar IDENTIFY the Messiah as one who bears the resemblance of so many ancient servants. Just as God used Elijah to describe the type of Spirit John the baptist will carry. Malachi 4:5 compare to Matthew 11:14-15 God told the Israelites as a nation: “You are my WITNESSES ,” declares the Lord, “and my SERVANT whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. Isaiah 43:10 NIV From the above statement Israelites are God's WITNESSES (plural) but there is One chosen person (singular) among them who is God's anointed King and that person is none other than Jesus Christ! So nobody can deny that Jesus Christ is not the Messiah!🙂 |

MaxInDHouse:Dude is confused, blasphemous and heretic all rolled into one I didn't know he ran here to hide See me still waiting for him to come and give me Mary's Arabic name as he claimed It's obvious he hates Jesus. Definitely he's a Muslim who wants to prove that Jesus is not what we say he is. But unfortunately for him even his Qur'an calls Jesus the messiah even if it never explained what it means. Now his confusion has come full circle that the messiah is not an individual but the whole nation of Israel. You see how hate makes one write like a lunatic? |

Why does Nairaland allow and keep abusive posts from certain users, while banning other users and preventing them from responding to the same on the same thread? What, then, is the purpose of Nairaland's own rules, particularly Rule 2, which clearly states: “Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES.” And Rule 13 says: “Please report any post or topic that violates the rules of Nairaland using the (Report) button.” If abusive, insulting and provocative posts are allowed to remain while users who respond to them are banned and prevented from participating further, how are these rules being applied fairly and consistently? Rules are only meaningful when they are enforced equally, regardless of who makes the post. Of what use are this rules then: Please Observe The Following Rules: (skip) 1. MaxInDHouse:This forum surely is not for normal people as they cannot face the truth when normal people post the truth. Deuteronomy 18:21–22 “And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?’ when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass, that is the word which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.” |

mindhacker7007:Deuteronomy is talking to Israelites not gentiles so it's part of the old covenant God made with the Israelites. If that will always be the case then what of Jonah who went throughout Nineveh telling people that in 40 days time Nineveh will be destroyed but it never happened?🤔 |

i have posted extensively about Isaiah 53. i have shown multiple times that the suffering servant is Israel. but the slow in learning can not grasp the truth. i wish i could draw them a picture. there are 6 things the messiah must accomplish that is the only way to know and recognize the messiah. most important;y, he will be a descendant of king David through Solomon, the two contradictory genealogies in Mathew and Luke can not produce a messiah... the Jews don't have the idea of a god mating with a human being, it is a Greek/roman ideology. the messiah will be an ordinary man with father who will be from the tribe of Judah and a mother who is Jewish.. maxindhouse, those passages you quoted are not prophecies. genesis 3:15 for example, it is God giving his judgement. God is not a prophet. why are we still on this matter in 2026? the psalms you quoted too is about king David. it was written by king David and given to the choirmaster. so it will read, from the perspective of the choirmaster. the Lord(God) said to my lord(king David)......sit at my right hand. i have not seen any progress in understanding scriptures from you... you have so much to learn. |

sonmvayina:Of course Jesus is from the lineage of King Solomon! Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife, Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa. Matthew 1:6-7 NIV So you have nothing to say against Jesus if you are obsessed because of false religions parading as Christians get it out of your head now because true Christianity has been fully restored!🙂 |

MaxInDHouse:hahahahahaha, very funny, so who is Jesus father that connects to that line? |
| Re: How Do We Recognise The True Messiah According To The Original Torah? by MaxInDHouse(m): 9:35am On Aug 11 |
sonmvayina:You are WRONG! In that Psalms David was talking about the Christ not himself. So this is the correct interpretation: The LORD (JEHOVAH) says to my Lord (Messiah): “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” Psalms 110:1 NIV In the proceeding verses we read: The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” Psalms 110:4 NIV Was David a PRIEST? NO! So regarding this God later send another prophet to tell the Jews that the Messiah will act in the spirit of King David: I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the Lord have spoken. Ezekiel 34:23-24 NIV Did Ezekiel live before or after David? So God used so many descriptive names to teach His worshipers how to identify the Messiah who acts and do things better than all the prophets before him. There are many titles used in the Bible for the Messiah! * Seed Of The Woman ~ Genesis 3:15 * Shiloh ~ Genesis 49:10 * Prophet ~ Deuteronomy 18:18-19 * Mighty God ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Wonderful Counselor ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Everlasting Father ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Prince Of Peace ~ Isaiah 9:6 * Israel/Jacob ~ Isaiah 41:8 * David ~ Ezekiel 34:23 You only picked one out of these thinking it's about Israel whereas God is saying the Messiah is the ORIGINAL Seed Of the woman, Shiloh, Prophet, Mighty God, Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Israel (Jacob) , David. |

sonmvayina:Joseph is his father according to Jewish traditions a son in law has equal birth right hence the Bible says: and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah. Matthew 1:16 NIV So by virtue of marriage Jesus became the son of Joseph!🙂

MaxInDHouse:you see that you have to suspend the use of your brain to believe that. how is Jesus related to Joseph by bloood? so if an igbo man adopts a Fulani boy, the Fulani boy automatically becomes an igbo boy? |
| Re: How Do We Recognise The True Messiah According To The Original Torah? by MaxInDHouse(m): 10:17am On Aug 11 |
sonmvayina:Are we talking about Fulani or Igbo here? Ọmọ we are talking about Jews and Jewish traditions. So when Jesus' disciples were writing his genealogy they wrote it down for their Jewish brothers who may dispute it not to Fulani or Igbo man like you o!🙂 |
| Re: How Do We Recognise The True Messiah According To The Original Torah? by sonmvayina(m): 10:24am On Aug 11 |
MaxInDHouse:So this is the correct interpretation: looks like you are not improving at all the psalm was written by David AND given to the choirmaster to be sung during service... so when the choirmaster is singing it, it will be from the perspective of the choirmaster, it will be the Lord(GOD) said to my(that is the choirmaster)lord(king David).....what is hard to grasp? |

sonmvayina:Read nah!😟 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. Psalms 110:4-6 NIV So David was a Priest shey? Did David also crush the rulers of the whole earth? Daniel 2:44 Why are you so confused nah?🥱 |
