They are quick to cast aspersions on the ruling party but to observe basic democratic tenets in their small party is a big issue to them. Cos it didn't favour him. If a politician doesn't have an ulterior motive, he won't quit his party, just because he lost in the primaries, except where the primaries was hijacked as what happened in ahead of 2023 elections in which atiku flew into the country from dubai and hijacked the primaries and candidacy already zoned to the south by the party and scattered the pdp forever A ticket won't be given to any inordinately ambitious politian at NDC. By all measures and indices, NDC is not in any way or form a democratic party that upholds internal democracy. This is good for people like Giringori who always seeks free tickets but bad for any aspiring politician because the party is structured not along internal democracy but by fiat selection process by Dickson, Giringori and Kwankwasso. If INEC is to apply the hammer now on NDC for failing to adhere to their own constitution and to conduct credible internal elections, they will be crying that Tinubu is worse than Abacha. A party that does not have an elected party hierarchy and which meets in the private residences of Dickson, Giringori and Kwankwasso at odd hours is by all means not a democratic institution. 3 Likes |
