Sometimes we just have to put ourselves in the shoes of the people who work for us as aides or PAs. This woman is old enough to mother those sitting on their chair, but because she is, perhaps, not as privileged as them, she sits on the ground holding one of their bags. This is improper, no matter the level of influence one has. It would be respectful to place a seat just behind them for her to sit on and hold their belongings. I had the opportunity to work with a team of a country's Ambassador and Prime Minister, and I was amazed at the way they treat the team working under them. They sit on the same seats, eat at the same dining table, and sometimes use the same car. They even call each other by their names. Unlike the way we work here in Nigeria, some of us shiver when communicating with our bosses. We are very extreme in everything in Nigeria, especially in Arewa. May we never be so poor for our mothers to be humiliated by the Ruling class like this.... Vote right Vote for people with compassion not arrogance. Just look at her face.... Tired and worn out. God heals her.

Hajiya salamatu on this one again... perhaps sitting on the floor was part of her job description. The yoorulebars would never try this,I can vouch on them . The yiiinbos too would never try this too....these 2 CONTINENTS are cultured when it comes to treating elderly people. |

Sitting on the floor could be part of the job's description. Kaka looks exhausted....they could have offered her drinks at least to renew her strength. |

::: I know northerners are humble and have no problem doing simple things like this. Even the rich can sit on the floor because they see Life that way. But no matter how I try to justify this, one look at the woman's face on the floor just breaks down and destroys any excuse or justification. What struck me the most about this picture is the Stark contrast in their faces. You can see the boss woman chirping and laughing away happily while the other looks sad , dejected, humiliated and uncomfortable. Same way our leaders and political class treat the masses. ![]() One can imagine how much she pays and treats this woman at home if she can do this in public. A picture that speaks a thousand words. ::: |

May our mothers never be found in such position, Amen! The level of classism in Nigeria can be pathetic. |

Most of the morally bankrupt people you will find in a society are politicians. |

Majority of our black women, Nigerian women especially don't treat their maids, house helps, subordinates kindly and I keep wondering why its difficult for them to treat their house helps, maids and subordinates kindly like they treat their own children or siblings. It's only very few Nigerian women that are different and their population is very insignificantly small and rare to find. You will think your wife or sister or aunt is different if her husband is broke or average or struggling financially or if she is still single, just wait until she marries a rich or moderately successful husband, that is when you will see her true colors and you will see her yelling at her domestic workers as if they are not humans that deserve respect even for flimsy mistakes, they will never correct their subordinates or house helps or domestic workers with love, they shout, scream, yell, some go physically violent just because the help or domestic staff or subordinate made a mistake and you will be wondering if these women dont make mistakes themselves. Meanwhile, if you take your time and observe how they correct their own biological children when they make mistake, then you will realize how inhumane most of our woman are, yes I am sorry to say this or sound this way, but Nigerian women really need to change the way they treat their house helps, maids, domestic workers and subordinates, you ladies can do better, it doesnt take anything to treat your house helps, maids, subordinates and domestic workers kindly and with love, which is what God our maker commanded us to do. Honestly I wonder how heavenly judgment will be at the last day sha ![]() |

CrownOfClay724: You got it wrong, it is not some, it is most. Thats why when black people pour out all their anger on Oyinbo for slave trade, I just look at them and wonder if they don't know that there ancestors were enslaving people long before the whites came and happy to sell off people who look like them to strangers for ordinary rum and mirror. |

Only a heartless person would be comfortable sitting on a chair and watch an elderly woman sitting down on the floor . Maybe it was because of the way I was brought up sha . Must the woman be there with them if they couldn't at least provide her a chair? brain54:it is just that God can not be blamed . Some people do not deserve to be rich @all . Years back , I went to visit a rich family , and I was surprised when I saw the maid sitting on the floor . I asked her the reason why when the man went upstairs to sort some things , and the lady told me that was what they told her , not to be sitting on the chair. I was dumbfounded... This same lady cooks for them , and I wonder what was the reason they told her not to be sitting on the chair . Some people ehn . |

AndroBlaze:::: If it was permitted most white people would not have kept slaves till today? Small thing now una don attack black man as if the whites won't do worse especially if they didn't have stronger laws. That ancestors sold their own isn't justification for slavery in whatever form as only a greedy few participated compared to the amount of slaves that left Africa. During the Holocaust in Germany a few Jews also participated and supported the extermination of their fellow Jews but you can never hear the Jews themselves or any other people condemning or blaming them for their role in the Holocaust because they were very few and many of them aided the Germans in other to survive. Same applies to Africa. ::: |

Chummynoni:::: Someone cooks for them and they can't treat that person right. Even people that are treated right still reason nonsense sometimes and takes the grace of God talk less of someone who isn't. Some people just like to joke about with their lives. ::: |

This is not excusable at all. This was a social event. She could have carried her own bag and have the lady sit elsewhere till she was ready to leave. Having her carry her bag when she is seating a on chair big enough for both is them is wrong. And then carrying her bag...could she not put the bag on the chair besides her? Is she even sound at all? |
