Landman: 7/10
Good series and very family oriented.

The dark is a solid 6/10 for me.
Cool, calm, a slowburner, a crime show that's engulf in mystery..
Not your regular top of the notch crime, mysterious show that's based on a serial killer but this one is quite entertaining.
One that you can use to relax and unwind during these cold weekends.

I loved the accents though, there is this fascinating thing about the British accent that's quite intriguing.

The east palace is a solid 7.5/10 for me.
Koreans are really up there when it comes to supernatural shows and this one is very entertaining and revealing.
Some shows ain't just shows and mere script writings, they are a revelation as to how deep this world is and how there is a spirit world too which holds control over this physical world.
Anyways i love how this show combines supernatural, mystery, deep dialogues and action together.
The supernatural sword fights especially towards the end were intensed.

I don't want to drop spoilers but the most shocking aspect of the storyline is finding out the persons responsible for all that's happening.
Indeed the palace is filled with deep secrets.

This was a nice watch.

The agency Season 2 is a solid 8/10 for me.
Much more better with a better storyline than season 1 with an epic episode finale sweeping the way for a season 3.
I will always appreciate any series with good dialogues and not just good dialogues but dialogues that test your mental and physiological strength.

Funny enough my favourite scenes in this show isn't even the action and the global intelligence politics but the dialogues especially between the woman psychologist and the agents.
I love how they explore the father/daughter relationship too and for some reasons i love seeing scenes with him and his daughter.
Based on how the show ended, the season 3 will be epic.
The season 3 is when the main show begins.

Dare Devil born again is a solid 8.5/10 for me.
Ladies and gentlemen, the episode finale of this season 2 has one of the best episode finale of any series at all in the past 2 decades.
It was breathtaking and astonishing, i wasn't expecting the twist at all especially in the court room.
The mayor will go down as one of the badass villain ever in modern series, infact!! after what he did in that episode finale, i am now a fan grin
I will stan him in Season 3, hopefully they renew for a season 3.

I loved the character development of the show and how they allowed the casts grew on the viewers.
Once again i hope they renew for a season 3.

“What if all of life force she absorbed creates asta“ someone said it

The author really forgot this part of his story and just wanted to say anything since the manga is done

The Bear Season 5 (2022–2026)

Final Season… Final Form… Final Serve.

There is this phenomenon I have come to know whilst consuming media all these years, and I have come to term it the “Overachiever’s Curse.”

Like, an artist makes an album so good, proper “rent was due” level, and you just know they are never hitting those heights ever again. Not that their art diminishes, but they have made something so pure and divine that you just know it was a one-off.

When Lorde released her debut album, Pure Heroine, in 2013, it was revolutionary. Everything else she has made since gets compared to that, and none has quite measured up. Or when Jon Bellion released "The Human Condition" in 2016, for the first time in ages, I came across an album with literally unskippable tracks. And since then, you know the story. Wizkid moved into "mature men Afrobeat level" and released "Made in Lagos" (2020), first listening, and i was like, naahhh, this Ègbon is never making any project better than this, and which has been largely true 👀

The Bear Season 2 is genuinely one of the most profound seasons of a TV show I have ever seen, so my fear was: after giving me “Forks” and “Fishes,” how will they ever top this?

Seeing the final season now, they never did. suffering from immense success if you will, but it is still TV serial royalty.

It seems like a lost art now for TV shows to return with a new season every year, but The Bear delivered a fresh season almost at the exact same time every June, since 2022. And they had already won me over with that singular act.

The final season opens with what looks like the final day for "The Bear", both figuratively and literally. Carmy has already revealed his decision to leave the restaurant and stop being a chef altogether at the end of S4, and the season is about him, and everyone around him, coming to terms with that decision.

There is a line from S4E2, when Nat tells Carmy that it is okay to actually walk away from something you love deeply, and that the important thing is that you are capable of that love in the first place.

And I think that's the most important lesson of the show.

Carmy loved cooking and being a chef, obviously, but it came with so much extra baggage: the weight of living up to his brother, a lot of family trauma, and everything else that came with it. That's why, when the show was tagged as a comedy all these years, I was always baffled. From S1 to S3, Carmy was miserable as hell! 😩 But immediately he decided to take a step back, he became calmer.

And that is the point: you can love something that deeply and still be able to let it go.

The cast of this show were phenomenal, and I loved how the writers continued to shine the spotlight on the side characters, so that the show wasn't just all about Carmy.

I may never be sentimental enough to make a “best shows of all time” list. There are just too many dynamic variables. But there are some shows I watch where I feel a shift. Something changes that I can't fully describe, It's like some other door opens!

I have a list for these kinds of shows:

Succession. Scrubs. The Office. GOT. AOT.

When I think of these shows now, I think of The Bear.

No gainsaying it, I am going to miss this show.

I am super thankful for five excellent seasons, and Carmy's healing journey coming full circle was the finest place to leave it. No dilly-dallying, no extending it further for the bare sake of doing it.

I think other shows these days should take a cue.

lol..no vex, she's obviously a good actress, but it comes with a caveat that doesn't sit right with me. The performance of her, I have truly liked was in "The Queen's Gambit", every other one from there on, has little or no variation, just one emote and incapable of range 👀😩

Yeah, she's good but no get range. I sensed that from your complaint cos I as well can't remember her in any other emotional or narrative style. Same look and vibes.

I haven't yet watched The Queen's Gambit. On my radar but back then when it premiered I felt everyone was probably overhyping it and refused to join. Especially coming from Netflix.

This one that I've finally decided to catch up on this show, here's hoping I don't decide to catch up on others.

I thiNk they deliberately want to give us more than what we usually expect, the slow build up, then unbridled action. This time, is just unbridled action, no sugar no cream. Hehehe

Sorry to ask. I don't understand the episode two. In one scene Joe was kidnapped and her chip was removed. In another she killed two people that knocked on her door. Like what really happened in episode two?

Two different time-lines.

One showing the first home invasion and the other showing the subsequent road attack which culminated in her abduction.

Since episode 1, the season has been showing two different timelines. The one she was kidnapped is months after the one where she killed two people on her lawn...
