Do you know that Martins did not have a bed on Day 1? As soon as Goddessa cleared that hideous makeup from her face, do you know Araga went up to her and asked if he could share a bed with her, because he didn’t have a bed? That is how Martins got a bed. Araga said if she has refused him that night, he’d try again the next day.

Do you know what Mr. Barry said when they asked him the girls he fancied in that house? He said: “I respect Ricky and Araga too much.”

This was Week 1 o, so, overtaking was expected.

Temi's ginger might reduce it Keivo leaves, except if she tries Barry again, but that one has friend zoned her and is still not over Godessa despite virtually bagging the ultimate fine girl of the season.

Nomy might go far,but the housemates, especially Tram , have clocked her. Tram hours ago said he'll ignore her and the housemates should as well, otherwise she'll keep gathering fans like Tacha and Lucy did . Toxic behavior sells heavily on BBnaija.

Moreso, i feel Nomy is also suffering from konji and a lack of male attention. Her face lit up when Godessa told her Cassi was interested and even though Godessa kept calling him names and trying to poison her mind, Nomy had a coded smile on her face. If Cassi even cuddles her, she'll lose her bitterness and might even start cooking for the house. A satisfied woman is one of the friendlest people you'll ever meet, they smile like hyenas 24/7.

Blue is a kid,but at least she sees what Neche doesn't. She trusts none of the guys in the house and doesn't mind waiting till the show's over to know who's genuine. But I'm not sure Neche can wait, she's getting hungry and Barry has been saying and doing the right things.

About the bolded, True, every one of the women on these show who's displayed these toxic behaviors tend to behave better at some point when they get their desired male attention. Tacha did with Seyi especially with the secret room closeness before they later became sworn enemies. Ceec with Tobi too and I think Nomy is starting to fancy Cassi in the way you suggested, he's defended her to a large extent and a part of me likes that about him. Not everyone has to think in the same direction like all the housemates

As for Neche, to be fair, I did think she'll be very controversial especially how she went about the Ricky thing. Explaining all over the house and even embellishing some details, but ever since then she's carried herself well and generally been laid back and gentle with everyone. I guess that incident with Ricky is just the Ricky curse and luck with women - which he alluded to in his intro.

I however think she's lucky to get with someone like Barry instead of Ricky or worse-off someone like Yusuf who wont mind romping her on live Tv. I do think this season, the housemates have shown sexual restraints so far but this could also be cos Big brother for some reason hasnt turned up the AC like he usually does these past seasons.

Except you have unusually high expectations of him, compared to the other guys in the house, Barry is honestly not doing badly.
He has been involved in the Temi–Keivo–Barry triangle, which has probably fizzled out or is gradually dissolving. He is also subtly flirting with Goddesa, and of course there is his situationship with Neche. Some people expected him to have escalated things with Neche to full-on “under the duvet” territory by now, but honestly, that isn’t necessary for him to be considered an active housemate. Not every storyline has to become a sexual one before it counts.

He is also the house chef, and we all know how much that role can contribute to a housemate’s relevance. Whitemoney literally won Big Brother Naija with cooking as a major part of his strategy, so it’s not something that should be dismissed as insignificant. Beyond that, Barry seems to have cordial relationships with almost everyone in the house, which is actually a valuable position to have as the game progresses.


Barry has a bit of all of these going on. He has relationships, he has a social game, he contributes to the house, he has storylines around him, and he isn't completely invisible.

So yes, if your expectation is that Barry should single-handedly carry the show, create a new scandal every 48 hours, fight everybody, and simultaneously maintain three romantic storylines, then I can understand why you think he is underperforming.

But if we're comparing him fairly with the other guys in the house, I don't think he's doing badly at all. It remains to be seen if he can turn all these small pieces into a stronger individual storyline as the show progresses.

The way Goddessa handled the brainstorming session today, I’m sure Araga fell in love again. At one point, they were suggesting Amapiano songs, and she was singing the songs, like speaking Zulu/Xhosa, and he and Yusuf were chatting between each other and staring at her in admiration, and I could see how impressed he was.

The way she held the attention of the housemates gathered, the fact that they were all so quiet, paying attention until she finished, and then they even did round of applause…

There is nothing men love, than seeing their women in leadership positions. E no easy to follow HBIC. It’s like a bragging right.

Me sef I was proud of her, and I like that after the session, Araga went to tell her how impressed he was by her, and was begging her to sing for him later.

Anyway, my romance writing brain was incredibly tickled by this interaction, and I just wanted to post it somewhere. Thanks guys

I strongly believe he'll win by simply going through life in the house and annoying the women some more.

Sheba gets this, and it's why i think they're a good match, if Ricky can control his konji.

The women thought he would be a very Hot rabbit chasing all of them after making mouth on the first day.

Goddessa is mad her charms didn't work on him. Neche, Nomy & Blue are irritated that instead of applying pressure, he just walks away if a girl tells him no. They instead started accusing him of aura farming and called him all manner of taunts from "bad b*tch" to "poohsie nigga" to "a princess".

Barry's own was worse, even female viewers of the show were calling him a soft boy and weakling for simply maintaining his distance with Neche!

The only difference is that he seemed charmed by Godessa. The guys are acting weird this season though, the women are kinda more in charge sexually.

The boys also look better than the girls according to viewers, so many of them have decided they won't settle.

Gerard almost reasoned Oyin,but she opened her mouth and he ran away.

I did notice her stiff body language around Barry earlier in the season and would have guessed he was the one if Neche her friend wasnt there.

Kamsy is another girl who bores me. She strikes me as a girl who's not getting enough male attention in the outside world with the way she's been behaving so far. She's also forcing this triangle thing and to be honest it's not giving.

Nah, it was Goddessa singing the South African songs, Neche did back up the first time they were compiling, but when they had all their options, Goddessa was singing the songs to remind them before they made the final choose, she did most of the singing down to the Zulu. I remember because when she finished, she was asking which one they should choose, and Tram told her, “I believe in you. Anything wey you choose, I dey with you.” because even he was impressed.

I like that my ship is giving me performance. Happy with everyone involved, especially because our man never siddon talk rubbish with all those boys. Man wey no go use jamtalk disgrace you outside >>>>>>>

People are paying subscription for a show, and it is not far-fetched to expect a show from housemates. If everybody was cooking and peaceful, this thread will still be on Page 50 by now.

So, in the absence of a show, I believe it is fair to call him boring.

There is nothing sexier than an audacious man that sees what he wants, notes the obstacles, and surmounts it.

I’m a romance writer, dynamics like that tickle my brain in a good way. These are the things that give me a show. I love a good story; I don’t mind suspense, I don’t mind conflict, I don’t mind a slow burn.

This is why I enjoy the show differently than some people, and this is why I have faves that some of you find boring. I see men written by women, and it thrills me.

Mr Barry can be a leading man in a compelling romance, but he has chosen to be a supporting character, and for this reason, I, personally, think him boring.
