AirBere:Honestly, Rodri is just one of those players who walks into any team and immediately raises the floor. Some guys are system players, but Rodri is a system by himself. Technical midfielders like him don’t struggle with tactical shifts because they already understand the game at a deeper level. And if Pedri, FDJ (deficiencies and all), and Gavi can thrive under Flick’s structure, then a far more experienced, calmer, and positionally elite Rodri would be just fine. These are players who can adapt to multiple styles, possession-heavy, vertical, transitional, because their fundamentals are solid. |

Mcleo007:You get the drift. Honestly, how someone would say he doesn't want Rodri in his team is somewhat baffling. Our midfield is paper thin in the sense that it lacks true DM qualities asides from Marc Bernal who's still a kid and growing. We have good numbers of players in midfield but funny enough our midfield will easily look a bit depleted halfway into the season because injuries will surely hit a player or two, that's when you'll know you're lacking enough quality. FDJ is out. That makes the midfield shaky cos Flick has relied on him. And injury let's say in September to a player like Pedri in the middle of October and things begin to look disastrous for us. Also players need rest and rotations. Our jam-packed season and overuse of players by Flick is a major factor in Pedri somehow dropping form in the world cup. We'll eventually get defenders no doubt. Techu:Guy, Cancelo is going to come. We're also secretly looking for another CB. With Cuti Romero being liked by Barca. We have enough time to finalise things. Only thing on slow-mo would be Alvarez. I believe we would make a decision this coming week whether to abandon him or not and push ahead in getting him. |

Techu:Based on reports Rodrigo has already agreed personal terms with Barca. It's Man City that Barca is negotiating with presently for a fee. Which is very doable at this moment. Cos it seems Madrid has already pulled back and that thing hurt them with him preferring us. So, Rodrigo signing is basically for us to lose at present. Barca is negotiating with Al Hilal presently and personal terms already finalised with Cancelo. With Araujo moving, it's all but official we'll get a CB before the window runs out. It's who that's the question. |

abduleez1:We don't really have leverage cause of his contract but offering 40m for our only striker maybe cause they saw us negotiating for Rodri so felt we'll need cash at any cost is crazy. If not for that contract they won't even bid for him cause his price would be around the same they sold their former backup Ramos to ac Milan 70m. Deco shouldn't accept anything less than 50m and if they don't want to pay they should wait till next year.
