LASTMA OFFICIAL RECOUNTS HOW LATE ACTRESS TEMITOPE OSOBA ALLEGEDLY RAN TO THEM FOR HELP HOURS BEFORE NEWS OF HER DEATH

A man who identified himself as a LASTMA official has narrated what he claimed happened on the morning of August 4, involving late actress Temitope Osoba.

According to his account:

“On August 4, at about 9am, we were on the road controlling traffic when suddenly a woman jumped out of a vehicle behind a bus we had stopped.

She was wearing a Celestial Church garment and immediately started running towards us, screaming for help.

She alleged that the people inside the vehicle had abducted her and were taking her somewhere to kill her.

We immediately instructed the driver of the korope (commercial minibus) to pull over so we could understand what was happening.

That was when we realised that the woman asking us for help was actress Temitope Osoba.

Another woman, who was also wearing a Celestial garment, came out of the same vehicle.

Temitope alleged that her husband, whom she referred to as Oluso, and the other woman were involved in a plan against her.

She further alleged that money donated to her by Nigerians — which she claimed was more than ₦50 million — had been collected by her husband.

When we questioned the second woman, she reportedly said she was a member of Temitope's family. Temitope disputed this and claimed that the woman was actually her hairdresser who knew a lot about what had been happening.

Temitope also claimed that she had pretended to cooperate with them after they got her into the vehicle and that her car keys had been taken from her.

I asked for the keys to be returned. The woman went back to the vehicle and brought them.

At that point, we contacted the police and an officer accompanied them to the police station.

After we finished our duties and later got to the station, we were told that Temitope had been released to people connected to her because that particular police station was reportedly not the station handling the complaints she had previously made.

We were therefore shocked when, later that same day, we received news that she had died.”

MY TAKE:

This testimony raises very serious questions, but allegations are not the same as proven facts.

If this LASTMA official's account is accurate, investigators need to establish exactly what happened from the moment Temitope allegedly sought help until the time of her death.

Who took her away from the police station? When someone says they want to kpai her and released for them.

Was an official statement taken from her?

Was there an existing complaint at another police station?

Who was inside the vehicle?

What happened between her leaving the station and her death?

And importantly, what do CCTV footage, police records, medical evidence and other independent witnesses show?

These are questions that should be answered through a proper investigation — not through social-media accusations alone.

Nobody mentioned in these allegations should automatically be declared guilty without evidence and due process. At the same time, any credible allegation made by a woman who reportedly feared for her safety shortly before her death deserves serious investigation.

May the truth come to light and may the deceased rest in peace.

No, they shouldn't rest! Those complicit in her death should be charged for murder, tried in a court, and jailed if found guilty or acquited if not.

Now that she is dead, everybody is talking about how she died and nobody is talking about the money...whose bank account hosts the money now? If the money is still in her account (which I doubt)...there is nothing much to worry about her death, but if it is not in her account, the person whose account hosts the money has a lot of questions to answer. Investigation should be channeled to the financial auditing of how the donation raised for her breast cancer surgery was expended before the forensics investigation.

Listening to the interview will give you a context of how the deceased lived her life, her battle with cancer, her relationship with family, and her love life, which to me, played a vital role in her mental and emotional health. And if you might know, a person's lifestyle is always useful for investigation.

How does a man who is not even your husband have access to your money?

That man needs to be thoroughly investigated. That skewed account he gave about how she ended up in the police station left more questions than answers. He knows a thing or 2 about what actually killed her. Like I said on a previous thread, the same sets of people that aggressively went after Mohbad's widow have suddenly gone mute on this matter.
