Not only tough elections, inflation is going back up in the US and there is pressure on Trump, continued closure of the strait of Hormuz will ruin the US economy because of stagflation. If the US continue to attack ships, it will still be counter productive for the US, the Strait of Hormuz still wont be navigable.
The US has realized that its gragra is not producing results.

Despite all their bombings, IRGC still has the capacity to hit or attack any ship passing that Strait .
They fail to learn from history.
Iran has determined to enter a war of attrition with the US, they could drag the war beyond this year.

Insurance companies was about all cargo ships that are suppose to pass thru the strait from the Middle East. These ships are insured. Any mistake of those ships to dive enter strait is already a big lose for insurance companies..

Make I put it down for broken… The moment the war started, insurance companies quickly tell owners of cargoes never to near the strait o, if them try ham, shishi, they won’t receive from them… If any of those cargo ships dare near strait of Hormuz, they’re doing that at their own peril!
