He would have used that money for
"Free Education" and play 3 odds
And also used part of it to nack better oloshos back then....

See as Tinubu just turn the South West regions into a population of Almahjiris

The Almajiri kids and their parents have lost this business to our SW brothers. Tinubu taught them well to:

Snatch it.
Grab it and
Run away with it.
Money is not given alacarte.

That one concern you.
As someone who enjoy watching them chase vehicles for 100 or 200 naira, I give them money so that they can remain beggars and never be useful to themselves.
Continue wickedness until it backfires on you. You enjoy seeing grown men beg?! To feed your ego and sense of power? You are indeed a deeply wicked person

I do have such experiences in Ikorodu, at garage, at oshodi, mile 2 them plenty. I dey always laugh dem dey go my way.
The ones at mainland are abgeros.
They're now on the coastal road harassing motorists and passerbys that look rich, They have a cluster at the Ajah under bridge, those ones fit rob you if you're not careful, you will also see them around Ikota shopping complex-VGC axis loitering about and looking for who to beg from. They stand close to mega chicken restaurant, they have now even started loitering around Orchid road begging anything that moves, Agungi, osapa, chisco, Marwa all the way to VI they are everywhere now, I mean everywhere.

There's another group that I call Professional coperate beggars. Those ones will dress very well, look responsible, they will approach you and ask for help with transport fares, to an unsuspecting people they are stranded fellows who needs a little help to get to where they're going. Out of your magnanimity you dip into your pocket and hand them a ₦1,000 notes thinking you've just helped a responsible fellow only for you to see them in another spot the very next day begging for another help with T-fare.

Then you also have the apprenticeship class of the professional cooperate beggarse, these apprentices are much younger than their coperate seniors. Young lads and lass of not older than 20yrs old, usually move in packs and carrying a backpack as if they're going for a hike, they move in packs of 3 or 4, two boys and two girls or 1 boy and 2 girls. Once they see a potential target, they stop talk to themselves as if they're casting a lot to determine who's going to be the one to meet and solicit for financial help from their target, if you're not paying attention or oblivious to them you will not see this activity going on between them until you're greeting with "Excuse me sir" and the begging starts.

Lagos is fast becoming a cove for all kinds of begging and it's getting out of hand

Urgent 2k is another form of begging.

I don't even bother checking my WhatsApp or Facebook inbox anymore because of this begging culture in Nigeria. Every Hi and hellos come with begging.
I've stopped posting anything on WhatsApp status undecided each time I post something the next thing I would see is " bro how far, you're looking good, make I send my aza make you show me small love" I will try to side step and go like " lol .. nothing much o, we're just pushing small small, how you dey na" but they will steer it back with "Everywhere red, I beg help me with anything you get" and before I finish reading the last message them don send account number. I don tire

I won't blame the guy but there's a sense of ego that comes with giving people fish and not showing them the river for them to catch their own fish.

Unfortunately, it happens in our society too. Person go get update, but e go gatekeep am.

Imagine calling someone stringy because you beg him for money and he didn't give you..
The money you can't find yourself you want another person to give you, that is shameless lifestyle...
Even ladies which are best described as olosho will call a man stingy just because he did not spend the amount a lady expected him to spend on her.

Tinubu has turn the the SW especially lagos into a den of alamajari.

Young men in that region now see agberos, thuggery and begging as means of live hood.
Re: When Begging Becomes Entitlement: Nigeria Has A Problem by Berankis: 4:06am On Aug 13
What is the difference between what they do and what the NURTW does? It's all collecting money with force.
Tinubu created this madness to shift responsibility of security and welfare on the people and away from the Government.
This is just the beginning, very soon car owners will be paying street urchins to drive their cars on Lagos roads. I can bet anything, it will happen and it will spread to other states.
It's already happening in some areas. All these Omo online, Omo adugbo, boys at roundabouts, street junctions, major roads, building sites are all forceful extortions gradually turning full blown robbery.
I encountered this before at Oshodi, I was surrounded by 2boys, one on each side telling me that my car is "tokunboh" and I must give them money or they break my side mirrors. I immediately changed to street language and stylishly pleaded so they withdrew. This wasn't even recently, this was about 6-7years ago.

Nigeria doesn't solve any problem until it gets out of hand then she becomes reactionary. These are loafers that should be rounded up and send to kirikiri maximum prison to farm or learn some skills.

Who is the popular begger in Nigeria?

The most popular and talked-about viral street figure in this category is the Lekki Street Boy (whose real name is Dayo Keshiro). He is widely known on social media as the "celebrity beggar" in Lagos, where he targets affluent individuals and top Nigerian artists like Davido at high-end nightlife spots and events.

You are getting it All Mixed up, the OP is talking about touts nd like ctiminals that resorting to begging in lagos traffic,
people in your contact, whatapp or facebook are family & family you can classify them with street urchin

in life their is no way we as humans won't need help however it is okay you don't give becos you don't have But when you have nd a friend needs help ... then you are just being unreasonable

one thing i learnt is that Giving is a not in everybody, someone as rich as dangote can be stingy and someone as poor as portable can be a giver ...whatever you are own up to it full chest

Those of you that say “Have money you’ll enjoy Nigeria”. Can you now see the result of a dysfunctional society caused largely by years of failed leadership?

Unless you’ll stay in your house 24/7, you can’t enjoy your money in peace.
How does begging stop someone from enjoying, Na your available balance dem demand

besides we always have choices to give or not to give, You make it sound if onces you have money Beggar will move in with you into your apartment.

i go out often to the ikeja, malls, parties beggars are always around ... wen i feel like it i give and wen i dont ...i look dem once hey! i no get nex time. they let me be

It wasn't this pronounced, Tinubu amplified it with his poverty and hardship induced policy reform results
