Questionable Verses in the Quran -

The Verse of the Sword (Surah 9:5)

• The Verse: "And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush."

• The Controversy: Critics view this verse as a blanket command for violence against non-Muslims. [1]

• Interpretations: Mainstream and historical contexts argue the verse was specific to Arabian tribes who had violated peace treaties and waged war against the early Muslim community, noting the very next clause offers safe passage if they repent or cease hostilities. [1, 2]

Men as Protectors and Authority (Surah 4:34)

• The Verse: Discusses men as maintainers of women and outlines steps for addressing marital disharmony, concluding with permission to discipline or strike (daraba) wives under strict conditions. [1, 2]

• The Controversy: It is widely cited as sanctioning domestic abuse and establishing permanent male supremacy. [1, 2]

• Interpretations: Traditional views limit the severity and scope of physical action. Progressive and modern feminist scholars argue the Arabic term allows for alternative meanings (such as "to separate" or draw away) or reflect a temporary, historical social hierarchy rather than a timeless mandate for abuse. [1, 2]

Subjugation and Tax for Non-Muslims (Surah 9:29)

• The Verse: Directs Muslims to fight those who do not believe until they pay the tax (jizya) willingly while being humbled.

• The Controversy: Seen as proof of institutionalized religious intolerance and second-class status for religious minorities.

• Interpretations: Proponents describe jizya as a historical protection and exemption tax equivalent to the zakat paid by Muslims, arguing the term for "humbled" refers to political submission rather than personal degradation. [1, 2]

Prohibition of Close Alliance (Surah 5:51)

• The Verse: "Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies [awliya]; they are [in fact] allies of one another."

• The Controversy: Interpreted by critics as promoting permanent sectarian segregation and distrust of Jews and Christians.

• Interpretations: Scholars state awliya in this context implies political or military alliances during active times of war rather than a ban on social kindness, business, or friendly neighborly relations with peaceful non-Muslim

Only that no Muslim believes in the Qur'an: they believe in the INTERPRETATION and INTERPOLATIONS of their Scholars who don't even have a UNANIMOUS Opinion

Re: The Qur'an, The Qur'an by Nobody:
I have read the quran.

What I noticed first about the author is his obsession and gossips about Christians, Jews, israel and unbelievers.

Also, haven read the bible too, I noticed that the writer of the quran copied some verse word for word. I also noticed error in their plagiarism.

Their was a particular place where the writer was talking about story of David's fight with golliat. The author did not understand he was combining different stories of different (bible) wars into one.

I also noticed the inferiority complex of the author of the quran towards Christians, Jews, Israel. I also noticed the inferiority complex towards the torah, psalms and the new testaments.

I also notice the gumbody of the author of the quran towards the torah, psalms, and indeed (new testament gospel). He or she tried to claim to be a part of it. The author even quoted wrongly that Muhammed was mentioned in the Bible.

It surprised me that the surposed maker of the universe will want to plagiarised earlier books and gossips about others in his book.

While, I know that the Yawheh of the Christians and Jews is a fake deity, I am supprised by the approach of the author towards them.

Re: The Qur'an, The Qur'an by OSPRO: 9:14pm On Aug 14
quran 9:29 Make war on those who have received the Scriptures [Jews and Christians] but do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day. They do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden. The Christians and Jews do not follow the religion of truth until they submit and pay the poll tax [jizya] and they are humiliated.

quran 33:60 They [Kafirs] will be cursed, and wherever they are found, they will be seized and murdered. It was Allah’s same practice with those who came before them, and you will find no change in Allah’s ways.

quran 2:191 Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.

You don't want your cult exposed?
