Iran: We’ll Reopen Hormuz If U.S. Lifts Naval Blockade On Us by Lordly13(op): 6:41pm On Aug 10
When the war started, Iran took to blocking the strait of Homuz, But the USA has completely blocked Iran from using the Strait of Homuz. They allow only other Gulf nations to sell oil through the strait.

The US blockage has heavily affected the economy of Iran, as it disrupted their oil trade.

Iran continues to impose their own blockage of Homuz, even though the US has secured the Oman side of the Strait for the Gulf regions

Iran says it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz if the United States ends its naval blockade of the Strait and stops other U.S. actions.

"Reopening the Strait of Hormuz is conditional on the lifting of the US naval blockade,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said at a press conference.

Baghaei added that Iran and Oman have reached an understanding on a navigation plan for the Strait, with technical details of a joint statement still being discussed. He said talks are “proceeding smoothly and constructively.”

On fees, Baghaei said no charges for vessels have been discussed yet, but they would “naturally” apply when maritime services are provided.

This comes as the U.S. has turned away 55 commercial vessels away from Iranian ports in the last week under its blockade. Causing Economic Stagnation on Iran.

Iran was shouting "we will block the Strait" but US Naval blockage has been heavily telling on them, so they're using style to beg Trump.

They no wan close Strait again? 😂 😂

Trump is treating Iran’s madness with madness!

Iran has behaved true to their natural terrorist inclination but this conflict is enough to clear their doubts that they won’t be tolerated forever by by others even their Arab neighbours will soon run out of patience with them.

Iran has no leverage or battle field advantage.

Iran’s leadership only cares about its survival and is not bothered about the suffering Iranians- the people are expendable as much they keep posturing to the world that they are winning a war they have lost.

At the end of this campaign, Iran will be a ghost of its former proud self, same way the kingdom of Persian lost it’s glory.

Who would have thought at the beginning of this war that the US would be at a stalemate with Iran. at the beginning of the war, I feared the worst for Iran.

Somehow, it seems, I overestimated the military capabilities of the US. It was almost inconceivable that the US would run out of interceptors, yet here we are, the US seems to have given up on military power, all of a sudden they just stopped, no ceasefire, nothing, they just stopped and Iran is still shooting at ships in the strait of Hormuz.

Now Trump has put all his hopes on economic pressure to make Iran capitulate. This is truly remarkable. It's almost as if everyone has forgotten the Original war aims. No more talks about regime change, nuclear weapons, ballistic missile program, support for proxies. None of that. Strait of Hormuz is now the central theme of the conflict.

This war has seriously damaged the US image of invisibility. If you cannot defeat a mid-tier country like Iran and coerce them with military power, then what is there for China and Russia to be afraid of.

Stalemate? Check the level of destruction and degradation on Iran.
80% of Iran's industrial strength gone,
70% of their steel factories gone,
Almost All their petrochemical factories destroyed.
Half of their politicians dead.
Strait block with US Navy.

Wise people will just give up and surrender, but we're talking about Islamic Suicide Bomber who has been brainwashed to believing in dieing for violence take you to heaven.

These people don't care about their citizens, they brag online, even though they have nothing to hold on to. So Trump's new plan: Economic Pressure, which has been reducing their effects, but Natahyu is pushing more military strikes. The iranian government are useless.

Iran just showed the world the consequences of attacking the US. Why do you think Putin released an American prisoner to Trump without asking for any favors in return.

The US has destroyed more than 80% of Iran's oil industries, almost all their steel factories, oil depots and logistics centers and almost every sources of income of the iranian government is either completely destroyed or heavily damaged.

No nation in their right senses want that, Except Islamic terrorist. A Pakistani politician said Iranian Islamics don't reason like human being, they can't differentiate what's important from what's not

What a very myopic perspective with no understanding of what geopolitical frameworks are all about. 80% of Iran industrial strength is gone? Where are you getting your figures from? Fox News?

The US went into Iran with 4 main objectives
1. Regime change
2. Ending Irans nuclear program
3. Ending Irans ballistic missile and drone programs
4. Ending their support for proxies like the houthis

Not a single one of them has materialize. The IRGC are still firmly in control of Iran, the slain supreme leader has been replaced by his younger and more hard-line son. Iran still has all its enriched uranium. They still fire drones and missiles on a daily basis. And their proxies are not slowing down either. The houthis are currently bombing oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

Now the US has an additional problem of the strait of Hormuz which was non existent before the war.

There were credible reports that the US has used over half of its missile stockpiles in the war. Reuters reported the US used virtually "all its interceptors" protecting the Gulf states and Israel from Iranian drones and missiles.

In fact during this last round of fighting, General Dan Caine told Donald Trump explicitly to find an off ramp because unless he is going to send in ground troops, air campaign alone will not achieve their objectives.

In the middle of fighting, the US suddenly stopped. No ceasefire, no deal, no objective achieved. Nothing. They just stopped just like that.

Now Trump is counting on the blockade on Iranian ports to inflict enough economic pressure that will force the Iranians to come to the table. Whether that will work or not I do not know. But to suggest that this war has not been an utter disappointment for Trump indicates a lack of proper comprehension of what geopolitical projections are all about

Here's your answer.

1. Regime Change: The old leader and 52 Ministers dead, The new war MIA(Isreal reported he's dead, Iran report him sick, couldn't even attend his father's funeral).

2. Nuclear Zero: 80% of all Iranian government sources of income from oil refineries, oil depots, their 3 major steel factories, all their petrochemical industries etc destroyed. NO MONEY, NO NUKE (a Nuke warhead cost Billions).

3. Weapons Degradation: Saudi Arabia and UAE report a significant reduction in Iranian drones and missiles deployment. After Trump focus 12 nights of destroying some of their drone and missiles storages.
Plus, no steel factories, no new missles or drone production.

4. End Terrorist Support: No money no support. Plus Labanon signing deals with America and Isreal to remove Hasbollah.

For 1 minute, forget the online cap by American haters and Iran, How do you think a country that has lost 80% of it's sources of income and can't even use it's closet Strait, is standing shoulder to shoulder with a country that still has everything intact since the war started.

Do you know what it means for a country to lose all 3 of it's STEEL FACTORIES. AND 30 OF IT'S OIL DEPOTS?
Re: Iran: We’ll Reopen Hormuz If U.S. Lifts Naval Blockade On Us by Razzness(m): 8:30am On Aug 14
You are living in denial, just like those folks on Fox News.

So in your mind now the current Iranian regime is different from the previous one. Wonderful.

So the 440kg of 60% enriched uranium Iran already had, has now evaporated into thin air, because they have no money. Wow.

So Iran has no drones and missiles, what did they now use to kill the 3 US soldiers in Jordan and Iraq? Hand grenade? Mind you Iran never stopped firing during the 12 nights of exchange. It was the US that suddenly stopped firing because Interceptors were running low.

Hezbollah has been degraded but certainly not gone. The Houthis are alive and well. They are currently exchanging fire with Saudi Arabia and even threatening to close the Bab-al-mandab strait.

If this war ends today, Iran's geopolitical standing has risen while the US projection of invisiblility has declined. Unless the US can pull another trick out of its sleeve that will allow it claim a decisive victory in the coming months, then this war will go in the loss column of the US.

And I'm the one living in Denial 😊

This got me laughing, it shows you don't listen to Iran or listen to what the IRC or Foreign Minister says.

What did Iran said they targeted during those 12 days, same old US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain Saudi etc that they have been shooting at since February and say it's already destroyed.

Why did shooting at the same targets every week for 5 months? Doesn't that tells you something?

What has Iran achieved if not total destruction of their assets and military power.

Trump announced a 12 night strike, destroyed some targets and halt on the 12th night. And you people spread the news that he run out.

Do yourself a favor and listen to the Iranian Minister speak. One moment he is asking Trump to remove the blockage on Iran (like he did this Monday), another time he's bragging they control the Strait, when they can't even use it themselves. And then he's bragging they're using the Caspian sea instead of Homuz to escape blockage (which 5 times more expensive than Homuz).

Victory is achieved by depleting and total annihilating the enemies abilities, And the US is fast achieving that in Iran.

1. Trump has weakened the regime enough, it can't survive.
2. Nuclear war heads cost billions, 70% of Iran's industries gone, it'll take them decades to build a nuke at this level.

War is fought with silent strategy, not social media bragging.

As they say, denial is a river.

So if IRGC lose 100% of its source of income they will suffer. Dey play. Its just like saying if Nigeria stops selling oil today, Tinubu, senators, ministers and their families will suffer. Dey play. It is the masses that will feel it.

I like how you acknowledge US bases are already destroyed. So during the 12 nights that 3 US soldiers died what were they targeting.

So why in earth will Trump stop bombing without any sort of ceasefire or deal. At least when the bombing stopped in April it was because of ceasefire. This time around nothing, the US just stopped all of a sudden. And then reports came out on how the US were running low on Interceptors ( which is plausible by the way) Using a 1-2 million dollar missile to Intercept a 25,000 dollar drone is not even feasible in the first place.

Iran are not the ones bragging on social media. Trump has been relentless on social media declaring victory every hour for the last 6 months.

Like JD Vance said "we are in the middle of the game". Unless the US come up with a strategy to comprehensively achieve at least 2 out of their 4 objectives. This war will be recorded in history as a loss for the US alongside Afghanistan and Vietnam

You're first paragraph shows you didn't get anything I said.
Iran declared the US bases destroyed in February, but still firing at US bases every week (no be me talk am, na IRGC dey announced say them dey fire US bases) something they said they've destroyed, still firing at it. What does that tells you?

USA has lost only 18 soldiers since February, but somehow you think they're losing, how many has Iran lost?

If the war stops now all of a sudden, you think the Iranian regime will still be effective as it was before? With their major sources of income gone.

Corruption needs constant funding, that what Trump is removing in Iran.

If Nigeria stop selling oil today, Tinubu and Cos will not suffer, but they cannot afford to fund a war, fund terrorist, or bribe their way to continue governing. Not to talk about funding developments of new weapons or even a "Nuke."
