What Is Gynecomastia? This happens when men develop breast tissue that looks like "man boobs" or some Men really develop Female breast tissues.

It’s common and usually not dangerous, but it can be embarrassing to some men.

*HIGHLIGHTS ON GYNECOMASTIA

*1. WHAT IS IT?
Benign growth of breast tissue in males.
It’s different from just fat. With gynecomastia you can feel a firm lump or disc of tissue under/beside the nipple.

*2. COMMON CAUSES
- Hormone imbalance - More estrogen vs testosterone. Very common in puberty, newborns, and older men 50+
- Weight gain / Fat - Excess body fat increases estrogen
- Medications - Some drugs for BP, heartburn, depression, steroids,some hair loss drug and also taking female hormone replacement drugs.
- Health conditions - Liver problems, kidney disease, thyroid issues, tumors
- Genetics- Some Men may be born with extra X chromosome like in the case of Klienfelter syndrome or other intersex variations like Androgen insensitive syndrome etc
- Alcohol, weed, some supplements
- Poor diet + No exercise - Increases fat and hormone issues

*3. SYMPTOMS
- Swelling of breast tissue
- Tenderness or pain around nipple
- One or both breasts affected
- Feels like a rubbery lump under the nipple

*4. HOW TO MANAGE / PREVENT IT
1. Exercise + Lose excess fat - Push-ups, cardio, strength training helps reduce chest fat
2. Eat Right - Avoid excess alcohol, soy in large amounts, and processed foods. Eat more protein, veggies, healthy fats to balance hormones
3. Check Medications - Talk to your doctor if a drug might be the cause. Don’t stop it yourself
4. Treat underlying health issues - Hormone problems, liver/kidney issues need medical attention
5. Surgery - Only for severe cases that don’t go away after 1-2 years

IMPORTANT NOTE
Gynecomastia is NOT the same as chest fat.
Chest fat = goes away with diet + exercise.
True gynecomastia = gland tissue. May need a doctor to confirm.

Most cases in teens go away on their own. If it persists, is painful, or you feel a hard lump, see a doctor ✅

It's a hormonal issue, treatable with hormonal therapy.

i don't think hermaphrodites exist or anyone will love to be called a hermaphrodite. Only animals exhibit hermaphroditism like snail. Thats just a man with hormonal issues. He is still Male

False. Because there are some studies proven that some men are still born with natural feminine features. Go read up on klienfelter syndrome, CAH, androgen insensitive syndrome,,PMDS

Back in the 80s/90s it was hermaphrodites but these days they are now called intersex. The word is now used more for Animals/plants. In my dad's medical books they were called "Hermaphrodite". Definitely the old version books.
