If it's you, won't you reply him? Saying someone's father has no brain. That's too much of a word to spark outrage. Not everybody can swallow chill pill in such a case. Sowore is too garrulous with his statements to everybody, and when he meets his match, people sympathise with him. Someone who wants to be a leader must learn to pick his words carefully.

I stand with Sowore on this. That yéyébrity is a spoilt brat whose extravagant lifestyle iwas sponsored by the proceeds from the suffering of Nigerians.. But I no go lie, some of his songs are good, at least to this ancestor. But that can never stop me from saying things how they should be said. Nairaland is even getting on my nerves. I once thought the forum was suppressing anything and anyone not from from Islam - a - bad but by the gods, we were wrong. The forum is now fully political. I agree that election integrity should be the focus. Elections must be free and fair, and vote buying or manipulation should be condemned regardless of who is involved.

But look at what is happening here. Sowore criticised Adeleke, and immediately people started attacking him as though criticising an opposition politician automatically makes him an APC supporter. Yet when Sowore criticises Tinubu or APC, many of the same people praise him as a fearless activist speaking truth to power.

Even in his response to Davido, Sowore did not suddenly start praising APC. He criticised Adeleke and, in the same breath, criticised Tinubu, APC and the entire political class. So where exactly is the APC agent argument coming from?

This is precisely the selective politics I am talking about. If vote buying, corruption, incompetence or bad governance is wrong, it should remain wrong regardless of the political logo.

You can demand election integrity and still criticise Adeleke. You can criticise APC and still criticise Adeleke. You don't have to choose one side and defend everything they do.

The real test of political principles is whether you can maintain the same standard when the person involved is the politician you support.
