The Osun Governorship election holds today, August 15 2026, and voting is expected to take place in the 30 Local Government Areas of the state.

Out of the total of 2,339,233 registered voters in the State, 1,906,390 PVCs, representing 81.50 per cent, have been collected.

15 Candidates will seek to occupy the Bola Ige House in Abeere for the next four years but the voters will only entrust one with their votes. There are however three frontrunners: The incumbent, Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Najeem Salam of the ADC and Bola Oyebamiji of the APC.

The remaining 432,843 PVCs, representing 18.50 per cent, have been safely deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in line with the Commission’s established practice.

They don't even have a candidate at all.
Someone will said that the candidate step down to support Accord, but the APM also step down but they're in the list.
Lastly stepping down does not mean that you won't be in ballot, rather it means that you openly tell your supporters not to vote for you rather vote for my preferred candidate.

It's an old photo....the Appeal Court only upheld their candidate two days ago and he stepped down for the Governor but I agree the Party is gone.

That is Tunubu's legacy on our democracy. He destroyed the political parties that came second (PDP), third (LP) and fourth (NNPP) in just 3 years of being in power using apparatus of state. He is still trying to destroy the ADC and the NDC too.
