Democracy is dead in Nigeria. It is now a family affairs.

I'm sure Adeleke will handover to his family member.

A man who never performed yet he rigged himself to 2nd term

I am done with politics. Nigeria can never get better.

The election is a sham. I call on the international communities, Donald Trump, to intervene.

Donald Trump must act now and save Nigeria.

INEC has been compromised.

Guy you're yarning dust. Have you ever stepped your feet in Osun state, not to talk of knowing what Osun state people want. I'm here in Osun state and can confidently tell you that the people of Osun state wants Adeleke.

You are totally wrong my brother. This is not a win win for Tinubu. The APC National Chairman and all those Governors, National APC Members and others that came to OSOGBO to support the President never came for win win situation.

I got your point. The same thing happened under AREGBESOLA after the death of Isiaka Adeleke. Tinubu always support those he chose to help to the end. AREGBESOLA never delivered. Oyetola never delivered.

The implications of this election is very disastrous and it is very obvious when I visited OSOGBO in March, April, May and early June spending few days each time.

The propaganda and blackmail and hatred against Tinubu on local Radio Stations was very high and the broadcast made in Yoruba language. Just because of ADELEKE. I have never heard that type of very acidic propaganda, blackmail and hatred against an individual in my life and now in Yoruba language on local Radio Stations. You are now saying it is win win for Tinubu. What about the blackmail and hatred already planted in the minds of the Rural populace?

ADELEKE congratulations. Congratulations. Congratulations. Congratulations. Congratulations. Congratulations. If anything contrary happens, it is rigging. Congratulations.
Another LGA in as the Osun picture becomes clearer.

professorPABX:
OSUN STATE is a Rural State. I know Osun State very well. If you read all those my submission since April ending, there is one I informed seunmsg ahead that ADELEKE would win and that the APC man is not on ground.

In Port Harcourt, most of those YORUBA Taxi drivers are from Osun and they hate Tinubu. After ADELEKE, APC can not still win Osun.

That is one of the problems in Yoruba land. I just pitied Tinubu because of the APC National Chairman and other APC National Body that came to Osun because of Tinubu. It is an embarrassment.

Nasir El Rufai stood with Tinubu in 2023. I will speak on that later.

Under ACN , AREGBESOLA never won an election to become Governor. Tinubu spent Billions for over 3 years to make him governor. It was Isiaka Adeleke and Oyinlola that gave him second term. All the elections under him APC lost.

Between March and April I was at Osogbo after over two decades, when I came back I lamented on nairaland that APC man is very unpopular and APC not on ground. In May and June, I visited, I lamented again. I now reason Senator FADAHUNSI votes might influence outcome but my friends said it cannot.

After ADELEKE it would still be very difficult for APC to win Osun. I observed Tinubu always support people he has decided to help to the end. Those who can deliver are mostly not allowed to get closer to him.

The situation in OSUN a Rural State is different from Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo. Another State that is very difficult for elites is Oyo State.
Tinubu is not the reason why Adeleke won. Before the election, Tinubu attempted to bring unite Adeleke and APC but the Osun state chapter of the party led by Oyetola and Omisore refused to allow the governor move to the party. After the primary, Omisore became a turncoat and started working for the same Adeleke he prevented from joining APC.

Again, tribalism is still a big factor in our politics. Apart from Ede, the two other biggest voting blocs are Ife and Osogbo. Theses two communities are desperate to produce the next governor of the state. So, they naturally voted for Adeleke who has only four more years to serve instead of AMBO who can go for eight years.

So, it is all about political interest and that is what politics is about. The election was largely free and fair and the choice of the people of Osun state must be respected. In politics, you win some and lose some. APC has won over 90% of the off season elections so losing this one changes nothing.

Yeah, you're very right. Politics is a game of calculation. Both Adeleke and Ambo are from Osun west. Both Osogbo and Ife would prefer to give Adeleke another 4 years to have their own chances than to give Ambo another 8 years. It's all a game of interest.

Someone who is on ground just told you what he saw and heard in Osogbo, across radio stations in Osun and even in PH by Yoruba taxi drivers against Tinubu's unpopularity and you still continue to bury your head in the sand? If Tinubu wanted Ademola to defect to the APC, Oyetola and Omisore would not have stopped him unless you now confess that he showed favouritism to his nephew, Oyetola. The defection of governors into the APC were resisted in virtually all the states by existing members but Tinubu insisted and had his way. He even had to drop Ganduje as Chairman because of that while the likes of Uche Nnaji lost his ministerial position and continues to be hounded as a result of that. In Delta, the likes of Omo-agege had to leave the party.

This loss by the APC is very instructive with far-reaching repercussions because APC unleashed every federal force they could muster including buying votes for as high as 50k per vote and they still lost. The election was far from free and fair, APC only found it difficult because the entire state turned up to vote. With presidential campaigns set to begin in a few days from now, the APC has lost considerable momentum as this is the last off-cycle election before January. Nigerians across board have also seen a winning template that can be used to resist federal might in their states. The people are much more determined now than ever. Failing to admit all these will be tantamount to lying to yourself.

This is one of Sanwo-olu's aid bragging before the election that Buhari refused to use federal might on Osun and that Tinubu would do so. Eyes don clear now. It's shocking how undemocratic Tinubu and his NADECO people turned out to be. They wanted Buhari to shed blood in Osun just to prove that he supports Tinubu. How effective was the "centre" in Osun? Tinubu got 5.6m votes from the North but this is how some of his lackeys still perceive Buhari and the North. Time is a gentleman.

Ogbeni every election your preferred candidates lost is not free but then once they won is free abi, continue.

The fact is that elections in Nigeria today count unlike before (2003 - 2007). That's why politicians give money to voters. The only remaining thing right now is people coming out to vote and th voters turnout yesterday is impressive. I am from Ife and stay in Ibadan. I travelled home to vote (like I have always do) and this time I made sure I go with many of my friends who normally will not go home to vote. We voted massively and the will of the people prevailed. It's keenly contested though.

APC should have accepted Adeleke but Oyetola made sure it did not happen and also the scheming out of Omisore played a big role as Omisore did not work with them. They failed to reconcile them untill when it was too late.

Firstly, I have never benefitted anything (directly or indirectly) from Tinubu, nothing. I have never benefitted anything from Adeleke as well. I support Tinubu for his attributes of supporting and helping those he decided to help with everything at his disposal without looking back. My Mother is from Osun State (ILESA) and I grew up at ILESA.

You know I said something about Nasir El Rufai last year on nairaland. This is a person I know since 1997. I will talk on this later.

OMISORE has lost his relevance in IFE Division long time ago. In 2018, it was only little part of IFE where he had dominance that was inconclusive. The problem is beyond ADELEKE joining APC now. If he had joined APC the election results would have been out before 8PM. That was also the situation as at 2018, 2022 and now 2026.

The problem is that some of you that are closer to Tinubu or working for APC never allowed genuine people to get closer to him. OSUN State is a Rural State. 98% of OSUN people that I know in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Ogun State are against Tinubu and they are mainly artisans and drivers. The remaining 2% that are on Tinubu's side are professionals.

APC winning 90% election elsewhere is not the same as APC winning OSUN State. I just pitied Senator FADAHUNSI for joining APC. I also pitied APC National Chairman, Hope Uzodinma, EDO Governor and others that came to OSUN because of Tinubu. Those fighting for TINUBU are not allowed to get closer to him. SEYI Tinubu and First Lady must break this barrier. OYETOLA is not the leader of APC in Osun. He is irrelevant and unacceptable to the people just like AREGBESOLA.

Tinubu has committed so much to OSUN since ACN era. Baba Bisi Akande and AREGBESOLA cannot deliver. They chose Oyinlola. It is not IFE or OSOGBO producing the next governor, it's the Rural State nature. Madam Folorunso Alakija is from Osun and has done much for Osun but I can bet it, if she contest election she cannot win. Baba Bisi Akande is always losing his constituency since 2003.

I came to OSOGBO in March, driving from Asejire to Ikire, to Gbongan up to OSOGBO. I spent days. I felt the pulse. I noticed the APC man is unpopular and APC not on ground and the majority of the people are contented with ADELEKE. Nothing concerned them with concrete road. Immediately, I wrote it on nairaland. Again, when APC National Chairman formed 300 Strong team for Osun election, I said 1,000,000 strong men cannot change anything because the Rural State will not even know they exist.
