Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has officially Signed for newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City from Nottingham Forest in a permanent transfer.

The 28-year-old Nigerian forward is set to become the latest Super Eagles star at Coventry, joining fellow international Frank Onyeka as the Sky Blues prepare for their return to the Premier League. Medicals are reportedly already underway, with the club completing the agreement with Forest.

Awoniyi leaves Nottingham Forest after four years at the City Ground, where he became a key figure in the club’s return to and survival in the Premier League.

The move gives the Nigerian striker a fresh opportunity to make an impact in the top flight under manager Frank Lampard, with Coventry looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their first Premier League campaign in 25 years.

Na Liverpool want spoil his career, they sign him young but fail to secure working permit for him for 2 seasons until he decided to join his loanee club then later Forrest

Hope my boy Awoniyi goes injury free this season,is the only eagles striker that can give us 50% Osimhen vibes.. Nottingham forest will always remember him as a player that saved the club twice from relegation.

this was the mentality that kille..d kelechi Iheanacho's career, money is good but it isn't everything. Erling Haaland had offers that paid more but went to lesser clubs that offered less to horn his skills. He is now one of the highest paid footballers in the world while kelechi is almost retired at a relatively young age.

If they are ambitious enough, they will get slot for him. Club always get slot but they will prioritise it, see this season with Ifanyi. The guy performed in preseason but has to go on loan because of permit while they give the slot to other signing

I was expecting the report to reel out how many goals he scored for Forest before the move. But nope, they don't want to spoil his show by writing 25 goals in 150 matches lolz
