I really can't understand why people are afraid to think for themselves.

The religions we practice today rose primarily because of the bronze age collapse. I'd wager that many of the fabricators of these religious stories, like the story of the Noah's Flood, will be shocked that people still believe them to be factual with all of today's advances in knowledge and science.

To be clear, I believe that there's a Creator, a Master, a Controller... A God. But certainly not this hellfire tales people bandy around.

The purpose of religion was primarily for social cohesion and organization, not this obsession with hellfire, rapture and women's
bodies.
THANK YOU. MY BROTHER.

LISTEN, IF I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT GOD TODAY, I WILL VISIT A TRADITIONAL PRIEST TO INQUIRE.

THOSE PEOPLE HOLD SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE THAT GOES BACK OVER 100,000 YEARS.

NOT THESE EUROPEAN INVADERS AND CRIMINALS WHO EMERGED FROM THEIR CAVES YESTERDAY.

OUR TRADITIONAL PRIESTS FROM IGBOLAND TO YORUBALAND TO EDO TO EFIK WILL TELL YOU THERE IS NOTHING LIKE ''HELLFIRE''.

THAT ''SIN'' IS RELATIVE AND DEPENDENT ON CIRCUMSTANCES.

TO CALL AN ACT A 'SIN', YOU MUST LOOK AT THE SPECIFIC SITUATION, WHAT HAPPENED AND WHY IT HAPPENED.

IF A MAN TRIES TO RAPE MY DAUGHTER AND I SMASH HIS SKULL, IT IS NOT A ''SIN''.

IF MY CHILD IS STARVING AND I SEE A LOAF OF BREAD IN SOMEONE'S DOOR FRONT AND GRAB IT AND RUN, I HAVE NOT COMMITTED A ''SIN''.

IF MY SON IS GAY AND FEELS HE WANTS TO SLEEP WITH OTHER MEN, HE IS NOT EVIL OR A ''SINNER''.

WE HAD SUCH PEOPLE BEFORE THE COLONIAL ERA.

THEY WERE NOT PERSECUTED.

WE BELIEVED THAT THAT WAS HOW THEY WERE CREATED.

IT WAS ACTUALLY CHRISTIAN COLONISERS WHO MADE THAT A ''SIN''.

OUR TRADITIONAL PRIESTS WILL TELL YOU THAT WE DO NOT DIE.

AS POWERFUL IMMORTAL BEINGS WE TRANSIT IMMEDIATELY WITH OUR CONSCIOUSNESS AND AWARENESS INTACT BACK TO THE LAND OF THE ANCESTORS FROM WHERE WE CAME.

A PLACE SAID TO BE A PERFECT VERSION OF EARTH WITH TOTAL ABUNDANCE, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE.

IT'S NOT FAR UP IN THE SKY. IT'S RIGHT HERE, BUT ON A DIFFERENT FREQUENCY. THINK RADIO.

THESE ARE FACTS THAT ARE BEING CONFIRMED TODAY VIA THE PHENOMENON OF NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES, WHERE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE HAVE DESCRIBED LEAVING THEIR BODIES DURING COMA AND FINDING THEMSELVES IN BEAUTIFUL REALMS OF LIFE BEFORE BEING TOLD IT'S ''NOT YET THEIR TIME'', AND ARE SENT BACK, AND THEN THEY WAKE UP ON THEIR HOSPITAL BEDS ON EARTH.

ACCORDING TO AI, OVER 400 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS ''OUT OF BODY'' EXPERIENCE.

SO THIS IS THE REALITY OUR ANCESTORS KNEW UNTIL THESE CRIMINALS CAME WITH THEIR ''BIBLE'' TO CONFUSE OUR PEOPLE AND HAVE THEM WORSHIPPING SOME WHITE BLONDE MAN FROM GOODNESS-KNOWS-WHERE AS THEIR ''LORD AND SAVIOUR''.

SAVIOUR FROM WHAT?

YOU DON'T EVEN NEED TO BELIEVE IN GOD TO RETURN HOME TO THE LAND OF THE ANCESTORS.

THAT IS YOUR HOME!

Murder is evil and punishable under every single law in the world
Malice is immoral and has no punishment, except fictitious punishments from religious gods.

So from these two, you can judge which of them is weightier.
Before murder, is malice, so both are punished together.

And women have long since murdered by using Malice but whilst you, man cannot punish that God can and He must do so for " ibi errorem ibi remedium"

If a person commits murder and another keeps malice, are their sins equal?

On earth, all sins do not bring the same consequences, but in eternity all sins take a person to hell fire.

On earth, an armed robber may suffer severe physical punishment while someone lusting may have no physical punishment, but in eternity, both the the armed robber and the one lusting will go to hell fire.

Repent and accept Jesus to escape hell fire.
If you can answer this question then please do what sin can a person commit that will warrant you send him to an eternal fire 🔥 and your claim to the person is you love him/her

What Sin can a Son commit to make a father hand him over to eternal condemnation?

I await your answer

In other words you are asking for Just is and this is why Judgement Day is important for, that bread you stole by the door and ran away was the last meal that the hungry child was going to eat when it fell there because a cobra was in the house as he opened the door. So, you are the sinner called a thief and a murderer and any other charge that "police" can lay on you

What you call ''judgement day'' is a CHRISTIAN DISTORTION of the 'Life Review' reported by Near-Death experiencers.

Once you transit, you will at some point find yourself in a place where your various actions in this lifetime are shown to you on a screen (or screens) in rapid succession in a way that you will absorb easily, and you will be made to experience the impact of your actions on others..

Where you did good, you will feel the emotional impact on others of your good act, and rejoice in happiness.

Where you hurt others, you will feel the emotional impact it had on them as if it were happening to you, and you would feel deep remorse.

If you committed great evils like murder, kidnapping, grand corruption and looting etc, you would feel the impact your actions had on other people as if it were happening to you.

The effect on the soul is said to be worse than physical torture, and many souls decide there and then to REINCARNATE to make amends.

He might decide to return as a teacher or a charity worker, or even a priest or health care worker, eg a nurse or doctor, to make amends by spreading knowledge, healing, and moral values etc.

SO, YOU JUDGE YOURSELF AT THE LIFE REVIEW.

Nobody stands in judgement over you.

YOU judge yourself with your then expanded awareness, not with your current human mind.

Because when you are there, you realise that we are all actually part of ONE GIANT CONSCIOUSNESS WE CALL 'GOD'.

That our separation into trillions of different beings is an ILLUSION.

A simulation.

That is why you feel the impact of your actions on others as if it were happening to you.

Where exactly is this hellfire located? The earth, the Sun, somewhere in the Solar system or outside the Milky way?

Let's get serious please.

Religion as we practice it today, is not more than 4000 years old. Humans have existed many times longer than that. Nobody has been able to convincingly explain what'll happen to people who were never Jews, Muslims or Christians. The many millions of people that have lived prior to these religions, what will happen to them?

Concept such as Paradise entered Judaism during their exiled in Persia. I'm sure you know that the root word for Paradise is from Farsi, the language of the Persians?

In fact, a lot of concepts entered Judaism during their interactions with the Sumerians, Babylonians and Persians. For example, the story about the flood has roots in Sumerian folklore.

Let me ask, can you confidently and honestly state that the flood of Noah or the Ark reach any near Lagos, Nigeria? Since the tale is that it reached all of the world?

*Do good. Do right. Be honest. Be kind. Be fair and just. Be honourable in your conduct. Do not kill. Do not hurt others. And especially the golden rule, do unto others what you'll want them to do to you.*

To me, these are the essence of religion, not the hellfire obsession you lot yap on about.

Just think for yourself based on the empirical available to present day humans.

Dtruthspeaker:
Your fear of hellfire, is not making you think well,

So, before the bronze age, people were not harming and offending each other?

If you are serious and thinking for yourself, then why did you run from my response and change post to asking me where is the location of hell? If not for the Google today would you have known the location of your physical prisons today? And when you accused and standing trial, do you think you would care about the location of prisons? And as you even know and can know the locations of prisons, has it stopped you from sinning?

Or is it the change of post of asking about the "religion that is practised today" and other off points.

Please, when you are serious and have a proper cognitive, logical and emperical thought on the subject on ground you can respond. Running all over the place raising issues that are not in focus show that you are not in order

God Almighty the creator of religious gods like Yahweh, Allah, etc do not punish people after death. All judgements are on earth and none after death. That's why humans must make firm laws to punish offenders on earth here and malice is never an offence punishable here on earth by the court of law.

10. Then it takes them a longer time to get to the realms of peace.
11. But be assured, the endpoint of death is peace for anyone, no matter who he was on earth. For after death, there is no judgment. Therefore Asuqu, it is necessary that the people of the world make for themselves laws and punish lawbreakers who are judged really guilty.
12. For whoever escapes judgement on earth cannot be punished in the afterlives of peace. Therefore let them see to it that the trespassers of their laws are punished according to the earthly standard.

Same in mass but occupy different volumes because iron is dense and feathers fluffy
Even their handling will be different

This shows they’re not the same

Years ago I carried 50kg rice on my own from ground to my head and took it inside the house
Then one day I was to carry a bag of cement at same weight and it just felt different as I struggled with it

Looking at the volume you’ll realise 50kg rice is larger than 50kg cement

I even experience the same with carry 20litres fuel and water and it felt different

Summary density plays a role too

Mass, volumes and densities are not measured in kgs and so 50kg oil or rice is the same as 50kg cement

Re: Are All Sins Really The Same? by JuanDeDios: 11:56am On Aug 16

This is not really correct. Sin is simply an act that has caused unpleasantness and pain to another person. So, it does not matter what people call it or whether it is written in a book
So you don't realise that "sin" is defined by scripture? The definition you have given is philosophical, not religious, and sin is a religious concept. You open a Bible or Quran to know what's sinful. Whereas we don't talk of "sin" at all outside religion, we talk of wrong or "bad".

Look at it this way. Philosophically, it's wrong (bad) to embezzle money because it will cause unpleasantness to those the money belonged to.

In Christianity and Islam, it is wrong (sinful) to have sex with anyone you're not married to.

Philosophically, it's not wrong (bad) to have sex with someone you're not married to - because as long as both of you are able to consent and actually consented to the sex, no unpleasantness is caused.

Lexicon123:
Based on human logic and very importantly the word of God, all sins do not seem to be same. Psalm 130:3 says “If you oh Lord should mark out guilt, who will survive?”. This is an indication that there’s practically no one without some iota of guilt, hence it’s only by God’s mercy that man can make it to heaven. I believe God’s mercy in this case will be driven by the gravity of the sins, otherwise who can be saved (since nothing unclean can see God - Rev 21:27). There are many other scriptures that support the gravitation of sins:

John 19:11: Jesus tells Pontius Pilate, "The one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin," explicitly acknowledging a distinction in moral gravity between individuals.

Luke 12:47–48: In the parable of the faithful and unfaithful servant, Jesus notes that the servant who knew his master's will and did not prepare will receive a severe beating, while the one who did not know will receive a light beating, showing a gradient of accountability.

Matthew 11:22–24: Jesus states that it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom on the day of judgment than for the city of Capernaum, implying varying levels of retributive seriousness based on rejection of truth.

1 John 5:16–17: The Apostle differentiates between a "sin that leads to death" and a sin "that does not lead to death," supporting the traditional theological division between mortal/severe and lesser faults.

In fact, the above and many others suggest certain sins will need to be purged for one to enter heaven:

Matthew 12:32: Jesus says that speaking against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven "either in this age or in the age to come," which can be viewed as an implication that certain lesser sins can be absolved or purged in the afterlife.

Matthew 5:25–26: Jesus advises settling with an opponent quickly lest you be thrown into prison, adding "truth I say to you, you will not get out of there until you have paid the very last penny," symbolizing that certain sins can go through purification for one to be saved.

Can go on and on. But summary is that all sins are obviously not the same. In our human interactions for instance, there are times you may lie to save someone’s life. Is the act of lying in this case not a sin? But can it be placed in same bucket as the sin of the murderer who was lied to to save another’s life? Someone already alluded to crimes attracting varying legal consequences; that’s same with sins before God.
Very well said. I guess you're Catholic

SHUT UP AND USE YOUR BRAIN.

GO AND RESEARCH N.D.Es BEFORE TRASHING THEM, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CONTRADICT YOUR ''WHITE MAN IS MY ONLY SAVIOUR'' STUPID COLONIAL INVADER RELIGION.

THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO REPORT NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES ARE HOSPITAL PATIENTS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED DEEP ILLNESS AND HAVE BEEN CERTIFIED CLINICALLY DEAD, AND HAVE LUCKILY BEEN REVIVED, ONLY TO RECOUNT THEIR EXPERIENCE DURING THE PERIOD, IN REMARKABLY SIMILAR STORIES ACROSS VARIOUS NATIONS AND PEOPLES.

THEIR TESTIMONY IS 10000000000 TIMES MORE CREDIBLE AND WORTHY OF INVESTIGATION THAN SOME STUPID COLONIAL ''HOLY BOOK'' OF INDETERMINATE ORIGIN, BROUGHT BY FOREIGN INVADERS WHO CAME HERE TO MASSACRE YOUR PEOPLE AND LOOT YOUR RESOURCES.
