INEC knew Tinubu have not met basic electoral requirement of education up to secondary school levels because he failed to provide evidence of going to primary or secondary school, but still field him for election. Same Tinubu gave conflicting records of attending Govt College Ibadan and GCL to CSU. He was hiding that dirty records when he told a US court that irreparable damage will be done to him if his academic records are released to the public. Just imagine! The president of a country. Now, the same Tinubu have signed a bastardized electoral act that has excluded certificate forgery as pre-election matter from the amended electoral act. For goodness sake what is wrong with the institutions in Nigeria? |

The question I want to ask INEC is this.. If the application is to be done online in your portal, and the fields for primary and secondary school were left unfilled, would that application proceed to 'submit'? The answer is 'No'. It is in the best interest of Nigeria and our electoral process to reject that submission for incomplete documentation.. Tinubu is applying to be president of Nigeria, Nigerians (his employers) are asking him to simply submit his complete CV in his application for the job in accordance with our constitution. Incomplete resume should be thrown out to the thrash, just as many employers do to Nigerian graduates.. If you are a graduate and you are supporting this Tinubu's fraud, you should be ashamed.. |

Dalohad:Sir, this shitty thing is because there widespread institutional corruption hence so much conspiracy to foist this fraud upon a nation of 240M people. Just imagine INEC asking people to submit applications for its adhoc posts and Tinubu applied. Would INEC in its right thinking sense accept him? What moral bearing is organizations like INEC setting for the current & future generations of political office seekers? This Tinubu's certificate fraud is a national and international shame, disgrace and embarrassment to the Nigerian nation. |

"We only published what was submitted to the commission. We don’t have any authority to question those ones. I mean, our own is just to publish so that anybody who has an objection can raise issues with what we’ve published,” the official said.Nigerians have seen what Tinubu submitted and are now raising objections over the alleged forgery of his NYSC certificate. From the documents he submitted, with no record of attending any primary or secondary school, Tinubu isn’t qualified to be a class prefect, not to mention President of Nigeria. |

Imagine if you were an employer and you were recruiting . You asked for CV from potential employees and one of them submitted his CV like tilimbu. Would you employ him. The effect of his false identity is seen thru out our economy and he still wants to continue His home state rejected him as he rejected them and claimed another state |

Dalohad:This is a lot of tears in one post. Majoring on minors. Go to court. Or save your money and read the constitution. Section 131 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) states that a person is qualified to run for President if, among other requirements: “he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent.” Any sane person knows that a B.Sc is MORE THAN sufficient in this case. But your fellow content creators will use stolen money to carry you on a jolly ride to Supreme Court level to interprete this simple and clear English. Then you'll wail about how the judges have been bought and are being controlled. You obviously went to school but school didn't go through you. Is there any normal person that will interact with Mr President and conclude that he's not educated to O'level? Common. The definition includes: a Secondary School Certificate or equivalent; a Grade II Teacher's Certificate; a City & Guilds Certificate; education up to Secondary School Certificate level; and, under specified conditions, even a Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent, coupled with qualifying work/service experience; and other qualifications acceptable to INEC under the constitutional definition. They said a job is for minimum 35 years. Someone says he's 50 years. You're insisting on seeing his 35 years birthday cake. SMH. |

Dalohad:How many professionals include primary and/or School School in their CV. Primary and Sec schools are only needed for Gate man or messenger jobs. As an HR specialist I hardly see them in professional CVs. So why should PBAT be made to include his pry/Sec Sch cert when he already has a BSc . The School CSU has already confirmed that he was an alumni, so wat do u guys really want. Is the President of Nigeria job a messenger or gateman cadre job ? |
| Re: 2027: INEC Explains Missing Tinubu School Certificates by psalmsjob: 3:28pm On Aug 16 |
Dalohad:Have you read what the electoral law requires as minimum qualifications to be president. Tinubu submitted what exceeds the secondary school certificate required or it's equivalent which a university certificate can be said to be. So what is the problem? We should be ashamed of people who submit a 3rd class lower certificate in philosophy with no working experience in any organisation and operates a supermarket. |
| Re: 2027: INEC Explains Missing Tinubu School Certificates by NaijaNaWaa: 3:28pm On Aug 16 |
I said it! INEC tactically exposed Tinubu's dirty behind. It's now left for the opposition and Nigerians to finish the task of ending his fraud tainted political career. |
| Re: 2027: INEC Explains Missing Tinubu School Certificates by 1Alex: 3:30pm On Aug 16 |
INEC is mixing up two different things. Yes, INEC publishes what a candidate submits, but publication does not make the candidate constitutionally qualified. Section 131(d) of the Constitution expressly requires a presidential candidate to have been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent. So the question is not simply whether Tinubu submitted something to INEC, but whether he meets that constitutional requirement. If there is a genuine dispute over that qualification, INEC cannot simply say, "we have no authority to question it." The courts can ultimately determine the dispute, but publishing a candidate's documents is not the same thing as certifying that the candidate is constitutionally qualified. |

| Re: 2027: INEC Explains Missing Tinubu School Certificates by Putinofrussia: 3:40pm On Aug 16 |
Dalohad:No, it is not mandatory to submit all your school certificatees to INEC. Under the Nigerian Constitution, a candidate is only required to meet the minimum educational threshold, which is education up to at least the School Certificate level or its equivalent. Section 131(d) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) specifies that a candidate only needs to show they have been educated up to a School Certificate level or its equivalent". Courts and judicial precedents (including interpretations by the Supreme Court) have established that possessing and submitting a higher qualification such as a university degree or equivalent tertiary. credential, satisfies and surpasses the minimum requirement, making the submission of primary and secondary certificates optional. Candidates are legally permitted to leave primary and secondary school certificate columns blank or unattached on their nomination forms as long as they provide valid proof of meeting or exceeding the baseline educational qualification. |
