IMO, dude wasn’t asking for so much when he demanded that the club compete for trophies, Champions league football and make big name signings. It takes a winner to feel that way and voice out loud such concerns.

As much as Im not a big fan of his poor work ethic on the pitch, I believe his concerns are valid and he doesn’t deserve to be booed.

The only issue here is that he allowed his agent to run his mouth on his behalf. The flirting with Madrid and City shouldn’t have happened, he should have found a way to muzzle his dog.

Guardiola's first season at City was full of unfulfilled expectations. Arteta needed five full seasons before winning the EPL.

Not to build defenses for Alonso but I believe with the tactical evolution I’ve seen at the Pre-season and the squad depth at his disposal, this squad will need some time to blend and get firing.

For all I know, we’re yet to have a defined approach and style of play. That’s not something you actualize and win with in a matter of weeks, more so in a league as the EPL where there are no rooms for experiments.

I’ll say in this particular order:

Top 3 League Finish
1 Domestic Cup.

We can build on these next season.

Liverpool have yet to sort their defense( no experience bar van dijk )
Man united do not have two world-class or exceptional CBs
City have the experience in Dias but I can't say the same for Khusanov.Guehi has his weakness which is his pace besides he is not a world class CB and Enzo maresca is not Pep guardiola.

Arsenal remain the most balanced team but with Saliba's injury their defense could be exposed although they are guaranteed to challenge again
These leaves the league open similar to what we saw in Conte's first season where Pep and Klopp were new to the league and united in transition

Fact is the league is very open and if Chelsea start well with a string of wins in a row it could be theirr year
