Pep that ran away from City, knew that power has shifted...and City are no longer the strongest in terms of squad depth and good players.

He is a glory hunter.

Ran away from barca the moment mourinho got wrestled the league in 2012. He hate to be challanged and exposed. The excuse is always " a sabbatical"

Mourinho said it best " Sabbatical is a weak mentallity".

Na for Maresca hand everything go finally spoil. Keep pep around and City will still lose the league this season. The later have accessed his players and that of arsenal, plus Liverpool will bounce back too. He knew that his chances of dorminating is over...and he have been known to be exposed once his rival has players of equal talent as his. Under dog flop!!!

This is one of the dumbest post I have ever read on Nairaland.

Doesn't change anything. New team with new tactics and a new coach. We have seen this before when you guys called Haaland a flop when Liverpool won us at the community shield and he missed some chances. We know how that turned out. City will win the League come May.
Which body part are you willing to stake ?

Where is your brother Android17 ? grin

Manchester city will never be a bully again 😂😂😂
The handwriting was on the wall. It was obvious. Guadiolas exit has left a very huge void. They can never be the same.
They have now been neutralized and are now back to default settings.

He's actually very right.

Pep saw danger ahead and quickly acted on his wits.

Man City don dey spoil gradually while he was still there sef and he knew it.
Na maresca hand e go con spoil patapata grin.
That one na fool for taking the job to be honest. cheesy

I obviously expected a better performance but it changes nothing. Am only critical of Maresca for starting players that just returned 3 days ago rather than those he used all through pre season.

Won two trophies last season, lost the league on the last day of the season. Played Arsenal thrice, beat them twice and drew once. Danger indeed.

It’s true. Popizaino just dey blow hot air. Maresca used this match to learn Arteta’s tactics. When it really matters he will show us how astute he is tactically.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Godx: 5:22pm On Aug 16
Just shut down the Rodri to Barcelona transfer. Tell him you can leave for free next season. We can't lose him and then trust Kovacic for an entire season.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 5:26pm On Aug 16
Maresca was always useless against the top teams even while at Chelsea. It was only Tottenham he was beating regularly and those were always our customers. Apart from them It was only United he beat once that I can remember.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by popizaino(m): 5:27pm On Aug 16
Could it be that Enzo le fraud Maresca dropped his tactical, adaptive, blending brain 🧠 at the bridge?

Because one would expect the Goat of coaches to be able to upset Arsenal with Man city squad since they told us that his empty brain alongside his tactical blend abi you dey talk am @nateevs actually drew Arsenal when he was at Chelsea with a man down.

The equation is not equaling at all.

Maresca at Chelsea with a man down drew Arsenal.

Maresca with a better man city squad with the best striker in the world 🌎 playing without a man down dey chop 3-0 at 77mins.

Did @lordfalcao perform a brain 🧠 surgery for Maresca over the summer cos i can not simply understand what went wrong? grin grin grin grin grin

@lordfalcao, with the help of a vern diagram, using a periodic table pls explain what went wrong with le fraud.

@disharm you can help because you follow for who hype nonsense commot for that man body.

Una dey funny me for this forum sha lol. You think say Arsenal nah Tottenham or Inter Milan?

Score at least twice like Arsenal isnt known as the best defensive team in world football while City is without the person(Pep) who gave them name.

We scored twice against this Arsenal team both times last season. You might be afraid of them as they always flog Chelsea but that's the expectation for any city fan facing them.

Who were responsible for today's defeat to Arsenal cus the last time it was the players and thank God today he doesn't coach the same players again?

No Chelsea fan expects to win the league this season anyway. If we see any of those small cups, then I thank God. What I don't want is us rolling over for Arsenal again. It's gone on for far too long.

Please don't quote me with rubbish. Are you normal at all? Why are quoting a comment from a Chelsea game played in December. Carry your Maresca agenda away from my mentions.

You can blame Maresca all you want but nothing will excuse the pitiful performance of some players yesterday.

Badashille and chalobah were culpable for the 1st and 2nd goal. Delap as well.

Santos had a very poor game. I lost count of the amount of time he lost the ball or gave a wrong pass.

Estevao almost got himself sent off.

Palmer was ghosting when he came on.

The less said about Joao Pedro and Delap the better.
Who are you blaming today?

The sheikh?

Pep Guardiola

Halaand

Yaya You're.

Name it. Let it out

It appears the league is Arteta's to lose
Arteta walks the league this season, if other teams don’t wake up it’s not looking good for the next few years, the financial muscle is there too

This right here is the reason I support him wholeheartedly. I called him a tactically adaptive and pioneering manager; this is one of those times he's being adaptive. He says in hindsight, I goofed.....hands up. I'd rather be tried and says that, than someone who can't see shii!t

He's had one full season as a professional level manager in the PL ONLY. Just one. He's going to make mistakes.

Against ManU with a player down, he rushed into defensive subs. He learnt from that experience. Against Arsenal, same situation, he adapted.

Last season, he was shy playing the top teams. This season (also since PSG at the CWC), he's going toe-to-toe. It's only his second season.

Name me one single manager in the world who's achieved what he has in their first stint as a pro level manager in the PL, with an average squad age of 23. Name one.

I will defend him shamelessly.
grin grin grin

I will defend him shamelessly.

I don dey wait for you, come outside.

Stop with all these premature ejaculation over Arsenal. Are these even Chelsea fans or imposters. One league they were fortunate to win after bottling the previous three seasons with set pieces and help from refs all of a sudden Arteta will walk the league. Go and support them.
