HacheNoire:hahahahahahahahahahahaha......they're now "hungry and unkempt" because they scammed your useless party the same way you've been scamming them? This is exactly what we'll do to tinubu in 2027 |

The problem of money politics is now even bigger in America where Elon Musk is actively buying votes for Trump. I will advise Obi to join it because it’s now global and inevitable. |

doncartel:Osun just taught us that we can eat the money very well and still vote whomever our hearts have already chosen. I just pity those hearts and minds who were never made-up before going out there to vote. |

Samuels90:Is there any state that does not have more than 1.5 million registered voters? Regardless, over 1 million votes in Osun is suspicious. You might claim that it's a reasonable figure because of the number of registered voters, but it is still off. The number almost compares to what you have in Lagos, Kano and Kaduna. It's even more than Oyo, which is the second largest state in the SW. Anyway, if INEC posts millions of votes for many states in 2027, and the outcome does not favor your candidate, don't come online to complain. |

Nobody jubilated like this when Tinubu snatched and grabbed the mandate of Nigerians from then in 2023. Please show me videos (Not MC Oluomo's agbero street carnival) if you claim otherwise. |

DoTheNeedful:You are wrong Sir. There was massive mobilization for this election. Both parties were very intentional about victory so they invested heavily on voters awareness and campaign. So it was the effort of the politicians that resulted in the turnout! |

I responded to a post on the just concluded Osun election which was against President Tinubu. What I saw next was the name calling. And I responded in affirmative only for a moderator to ban me and left the offender. 3kay945: |

You are actually right in what you said. But a leader with a foresight will focus mainly on developing the country to giving out hand-outs that won't better the lives of the citizens. nairalanda1: |

BluntCrazeMan:Accord never paid anyone. Osun State just made a political statement and Nigerians at large should emulate the same. Somebody forming democracy, saying they called to congratulate Adeleke is nonsense. It is simple, the came to grab, snatch and run away with it but Osun people came, saw but conquered. It is as clear as day, when you see voters enmass ready to vote as early as from 6am and waited to cast their voting at 6pm, sense suppose tell you say na vex this ones carry come. All these saving faces na just formality not to embarrass the President to make him more ruthless in the forthcoming elections but who cares, let him be ruthless. It is not that I am expecting anything less from them Nigerians can follow the Osun model but make we dey see whether Osun state get sense pass other Nigerians or they will rise to the Osun Clarion call. |

If only the youths & Nigerians generally can stand on their feet like this and defend their votes, after casting just to make sure there's no manipulation of any kind, Nigeria will get better. |

9jamustbegreat:That is the thing. Nigerians do not want leaders with foresight. That's the side effect of being a poor country. Any long term vision would be viewed as 'taking bread from the mouths and hands of the poor'. As a result when NIgerian leaders do take good decisions, it is because lack of foresight in the past has led to the country being between a rock and a hard place, so some good decisions are made, and when storm is ova, back to the same old same old. (That is why tinubu really removed subsidy, it was not because he wanted to, but because he had no choice). A leader with foresight is not also going to make donations or bring bullion van, or dash people money. They are going to come with a vision and how to achieve it. But Nigerians do not want vision, they want cheap petrol, cheap food and cheap schools that look like the ones in obodo oyibo, and if it means the government gets into more debt paying for all that, so be it. A leader with foresight ruling NIgeria would make tinubu look like a gentle man who was misunderstood. Nigerians prefer their tinubus. Remember the slogan of tinubu was emilokan. It is our turn. Na the same kind of campaign message all his opponents ran, and na the same message every Nigerian leader since independence has run. Even coups, it is our turn. That is why Nigeria cannot develop. It is our turn to chop mentaility has eaten deeply. And splitting the country won't change anything...because the mentaility would follow us there. |
